If you want a clean switch from custom roms to stock, grab fastboot rom and flash it on MiFlash tool. Or else, you can grab rom zip and flash it on twrp. As you wish

Reverting back to stock Miui!

I want to apply for that beta testing team. But i have to be on global developer rom and install OTAs twice a week.
Now that i have twrp, stock miui roms cant be flashed and ota's cant be recieved.
I know the simplest method is to just use MI flash and flash fastboot rom.But is there any other way?
I read on xda that some patching of boot.img will work and things but that has to be done everytime with each OTA .
Is there a way i could revert everything back.
What if i flash miui rom through twrp after doing all that boot.img patching and then flash mi recovery removing twrp. Will ota's work?
I would be grateful if somebody briefs me about the process.

You're already safe with ZCX recovery as it includes dm-verify to avoid getting bootloader locked. If you flash the lazy flasher after flashing MIUI, that won't change anything and you will still boot to MIUI. You can flash lazy flasher if you want but its not required.

You are a fool, if you are going to flash official miui.
Because you will end up with bloatware and china letters, etc
If you wan to use miui, simply flash xiaomi.eu
It never locks BL, optimised,...removed china crap. Else is the same china dev base.
Also you have gplay preinstalled and services.

I move to china stable because they dont block 4g network option
It's incredible, nobody has any idea.
1- flash miui rom
2- flash miui firmware
Use always ZXC twrp.
Never use oficial roms, encrypt data partition and can relock bootloader, use xiaomi.eu roms.

tHis setting force close is a known problem. The way to avoid it is to flash any fastboot developer rom(old or new... Doesn't matter) and then flash any latest Xiaomi.eu roms. This is the only solution I found and many have also commented same thing in past......Any other solution? Please do comment

[ROM] Mi Globe Rom

First of all, I'm not sure if I have to authority to share this post but as early as now, I would like everyone to know that none of this is my work and all credits will go to the respective author of the project.
This rom is based on Xiaomi.Eu rom.
What is Mi Globe Rom?
It's basically a ROM Builder, they put the firmware installation to a whole new level. You can choose reams of modifications and therefore customize the firmware right before downloading it!
You don’t have to download the firmware and other modifications seperately and install it all one after the other. The mi-globe ROM Builder packs all your selected modifications in only one file, which you can download and install stress-free.
What are it's features?
1. You can optimize GPS configuration per region before downloading the file.
2. Can root or no root depending on your preference.
3. You have the option to select which apps to install or uninstall before building your rom file.
4. Center clock and many more.
Requirements:
1. Bootloader must be unlocked.
2. With TWRP installed.
3. Downloaded rom file.
Instruction:
1. Boot your device to twrp.
2. Wipe cache, dalvic cache and data.
3. Flash rom and enjoy.

In my experience, magisk did not install successfully during the rom flash.. but an stand alone magisk flashable file will be saved in your internal storage. You can either flash it after your first boot up or flash it right after unsuccessful flashing from the rom file.

What base ROM did you both select?
There's a few people complaining of issues with xiaomi.eu stable in other threads, so it's interesting to see that you are doing OK with what is basically a xiaomi.eu ROM with only minor modification.

You're right. Something went wrong with eu stable but dev version. I have tried both mi-globe and eu dev 9.6.27, no issues so far. If you prefer eu rom, just try dev version 9.6.27. Anw mi-globe is based on eu dev version so it worths a try

Can I get OTA in the future with this globe rom?
Can I avoid installing TWRP and just boot into it with my unlocked bootloader? I really don't want to root my device and all - just wanna have an official european version and then lock my bootloader again.

No. You need to build the ROM on the website each time you want to update it. The FAQs on the website tell you this.

Xiaomi.eu is not an official global rom. it is a custom rom with localisations and various customisations.

There is no official European ROM. xiaomi.eu ROMs are not official, though there is some collaboration with official MIUI from time to time.
If you locked the bootloader after installing a xiaomi.eu ROM, then you won't be able to install updates.
If you want to keep it official, then you'll need to wait until the global Mi 9T Pro, then you can flash the official ROM from that. You would then be able to have the bootloader locked after flashing and be able to update via OTA.

I am hoping the same. Delayed Mi 9T Pro release has delayed development for our K20 Pro as well. I'm guessing we won't get global devs to build los, oxygenos, pixel experience etc without the Mi 9T Pro being available globally..

Hopefully many of the Indian POCO F1 devs will upgrade to this phone when it's released in India later this month. We should see some movement once they get their hands on it.

oreo or pie

Does anyone still using oreo on their poco? Im kinda bored with pie and 10's . I miss oreo a lot. Will it be okay to go back oreo on beryllium..
I still see oreo global stable 9.6.25 miui 9 is the best for poco regarding battery performance and loudness but ever since i started getting touch issues two months ago, i get bad touch on oreo and pie roms and the only rom without touch issues (so far) is pe 10 beta with 10.3.7.0 firmware!.
why use Oreo with accient security patches when you can use lastest
Ouch now im seeing the problem to go back oreo. But can the latest firmware work with the oreo miui or customs rom. Does anyone ever try this.

i tried going back to oreo many times using twrp but touch was not working from the setup screen.....i had to flash oreo vendor then rom again to regain touch.
you can bypass such hassle and use miflash tool to clean flash oreo but u will have to reflash twrp afterwards if you want custom recovery.

Okay understood. Good information.
between Androids, Pie is better than Oreo
between Miui9 and Miui10, / most of the users have prefered Miui9 due to better battery life so its more of a judgement call!
however
I am living with POCO on CRDROID and HAVOC so for me I will choose latest Android and Rom Builds to have Stock Experience! and I prefer Pie over Oreo

Miui 11 wont boot...

Hi guys,
So I have a Redmi 5 Plus, which has served me very well for two years.
I was getting rather restless and i decided to unlock the bootloader, install twrp and flash some custom roms. I played around with Havoc and a couple of others. In the end i found it impossible to live without call recording and second space, and so i installed Miui 11 Android 9 which i got off xiaomi.eu
It worked perfectly. However, the other day i was having a slow day at work and thought i would play around some more. I installed crdroid and pixel experience, and replaced twrp with orangefox. Played around with them and still decided to revert to Miui 11. When i flashed it though, on reboot it stays on the mi logo for a few minutes and then reboots. It repeats this a few times and then goes back into recovery.
What am i doing wrong? I would apreciate any advice as to how i can get my miui back!
Thanks
Iam

Thanks for responding friend. Do I need to relock? Ideally i would like to eventually come back to the miui 11 i had flashed.
Would i be correct in flashing the stock rom throught fastboot, without relocking, and then flash the xiaomi.eu miui 11 rom?
Thanks once again
