Note: closed beta roms need to be set up with twrp.
Dumb question.... Any time I flash the global roms through TWRP it refuses to ever load the OS and just always takes me back to TWRP
is there something I'm doing wrong?

I'm not even sure what that means, so I'm going to say no.
That did it
Unfortuantely, the global roms don't seem to work on my chinese phone :/(it makes me choose China as my region and then just keeps giving me errors saying "find device closed unexpecedly" during setup on 3 different global roms I installed and then it reboots to TWRP again)
Thanks anyways.
So is there anything significant new about this rom? widevine L1 activated? how is the battery life?

It's because you are missing the regions in your partitions on your phone. Grab the GLOBAL FASTBOOT version of the ROM and flash through that. It will build all of the partitions. Just DON'T LOCK THE BOOTLOADER.
Global Stable to Developer problem
I wanted change in my Mi8 Stable to Developer ROM, but after installation I had to do:
1. Activate device - correct
2. Agree Terms and Conditions - correct
3. Copy apps and data - no needed
4. Confirm your password - and here is problem. I think I should here introduce my Xiaomi Account password, but it is possible introduce only numbers I found how activate in keyboard letters, but in that case the place for introducing password is not active.
Has anybody such case? What can I do???
Hi I'm now on custom rom and I want to back to miui I flashed this dev version by TWRP and i can't to boot so I flash force decrypt. It had been working but I have issue with finger print sensor it don't work. I back to custom rom and on custom rom it worked. Can I fix this issue? Maby flash by fastboot will work ?

It happened to me last time I wanted to go back to MIUI. I just had to wipe all data (including my storage) so my computer could recognize my phone. Then, I downloaded global MIUI on the pc and i transferred the document to my mi 8.
If you have any issues, please contact me.:good:

Hello xdadevelopers,
I recently bought myself the Poco F1 and tried to follow LTT's guide on how to make the Poco F1 like a Pixel, but I accidentally wiped everything (by going into additional settings and clicking every box). I can still access TWRP, but can't seem to install the custom rom (errors).
Is there anything I can do to continue with the process of making my phone like a pixel? I'm still a major novice in this so if possible, please use layman terms.
Thanks a lot,

Hi,
I recently did the same but on purpose. This was advised in the Syberia OS ROM installation instructions. https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/development/rom-syberia-project-t3862622
You might want to try that(format data, install newest vendor+firmware etc) and then try to install a custom ROM.

If you're stuck you can back to stock with fastboot rom
Boot to fastboot and launch Xiaomi Flash on your pc.

The best thing that you can do is flash the latest fastboot stock ROM available. It'll reset the phone to as if it was new and also lock the bootloader. But you can unlock it back without the waiting time this time.

That't not fastboot flashable file, genius. You are trying to flash the full ROM file. Download the fastboot file which comes in .tgz format. Extract it twice and you will get the main file. Once you extract the file, you would see the file name has a lot of "underscore" (_) marks See the attached screenshot). Moreover, you didn't mention what errors are you getting on TWRP while trying to flash the custom ROM. When creating a thread, try to include as much information possible, i you want someone to understand your problem and help you accordingly. Or else, you are just adding up thread counts.

LOL! All stock fastboot ROMs are compatible on MiFlash tool. It doesn't matter which version it is as long as it is fastboot flashable and you know how to extract and place it in the correct place.

Yeah but from what I can see on this is just a normal firmware and has to be updated thru twrp or settings.
But that older version has a fastboot version to flash idk though.

I guess the "Reboot EDL" feature doesn't work with Dipper, does it?
Cool.
Does it work to return full stock including original recovery? I don't want to brick my device so I better ask.

Actually the tool is able to flash a full fastboot factory image, so it will also flash the stock recovery, the problem is the arb, the tool is unable to read the arb version and if the rom can be flashed or not, so before flash it you should be sure you are flashing the right rom
For example would it work to flash Global 10.2.2 also to restore the stock recovery, or any considering that now I am rooted + twrp on custom rom? Been also on latest MIUI versions bit want to regain my stock again.

Yes the problem is not the rom but the arb, if there is not an arb problem you can flash the rom without problems
How can I find it out?

Ahh thanks for letting me know that global works. I chose Xiaomi.eu.
For me TWRP stayed since the first time I flashed it. Only had to format data once just the first time using it. Since then it's been working fine. Even with finger print and stuff enabled

Hi. BTW, which Magisk version have you installed? Now my TWRP is permanent but not able to get Magisk running, both V18.1 and 19 causing bootloop.
Will be trying V18.
Hope it work.
Update:
Fail to install Magisk from v18 to 19.
When flash v16., reboot to bootloader, cannot boot to Recovery, required to flash by Miflash again to get phone working.
Follow the other thread of flashing rom + magisk = no Magisk after bootup.
Not sure where I go wrong.
I am sorry if I am in the wrong thread.

Are we going to see a Official build of Pixel Experience in the near future? For the 9R?
Hi. After I installed it. My phone into EDL but not the system. That's what I did:
1. Unlock bootloader on OOS
2. Flash recovery that provided in the Google drive link.
3. Apply update via USB sideload.
4. When the flashing progress reach 47%.
It gave me an error:
"can't read command 'no error' " and the recovery said update is done.
(which I think it's normal becuz same thing happened on the OnePlus 9 custom ROM flashing.)
5. Format/ Factory reset and reboot
6. Reboot and into the EDL.
Since you said you test the 5G in China.
So if you're Chinese:
我在氧OS上解锁之后刷入了你提供的rec。
然后重启进入rec并且使用sideload刷这个包。
刷入到47%的时候提示输入完成。
刷入之后我回到rec主菜单选择格式化/恢复出厂设定 然后重启,
结果直接进入9008模式。
Thank you for this!
Hello,
a couple days ago i noticed that there was the first miui 14 build (miui_ENUMA_V14.0.23.1.4.DEV_006a58c7f8_13.0) available. Since it's a recovery rom i'm struggling to find a way to flash it.
I saw an unoffical ofox build in this forum but the download link didn't work.
I hope someone could help me.
Thanks
The only method to flash recovery firmware is by TWRP or OFRP custom recovery. Right now there is none of these availble for enuma yet. So only fastboot firmware that is possibly flashed for now. I already flashed the latest fastboot firmware and installed A13 GSI ROM.

There are other options to possibly flash .zip patch file by using Xiaomi ADB in this link or Xiaomi Tool in this link. I tried this on my Windows 7 PC but not able to flashed any .zip files. Maybe Windows 10 or above may get this to work well. There is also Linux version for these tools. You can try it too.

a couple days ago i noticed that there was the first miui 14 build (miui_ENUMA_V14.0.23.1.4.DEV_006a58c7f8_13.0) available. Since it's a recovery rom i'm struggling to find a way to flash it.
I saw an unoffical ofox build in this forum but the download link didn't work.
I hope someone could help me.
Thanks

This is the latest enuma fastboot ROM. Already Android 13. Maybe an alternative, but only chinese and english.

Hey, thanks for sharing.
May I ask where you found that build? I can only find ArrowOS for the non-pro version.

It's GSI ROM not Custom ROM for any specific device. You can google GSI ROMs and look for the ROMs that you like the most. I also flashed this ROM to my Redmi K30 5G.
But if you are using such Xiaomi peripherals as pen or pad keyboard, GSI ROMs do not support them. You need to look for the Custom ROMs that are built for your device to support them.
I don't have any Xiaomi peripherals. So using GSI ROMs makes no differences for me.
I have V14.0.22.12.26.DEV Fastboot ROM. How to install V14.0.23.1.9.DEV Recovery ROM?
