Did anyone come from p9 or p10 and noticed while using front camera for group photo, the camera doesn't zoom out a little to fit everyone in, like p9 or p10 did?
This feature is very useful and am not sure if they have removed it or there is a setting to enable it. If anyone knows how, kindly share the joy

Never noticed that you can't zoom out with front camera.
I assume unless you use another camera app this function isn't available.

Hi, I'm new to XDA-Developers and I'm hoping to find some help with my CUBOT P9.
I've had it for a while, and I've never been able to use the camera, gallery crashes whereas with Snapchat I can get the front camera to work, but not the rear.
I'm really frustrated with this as I hoped the camera to be working as I use the camera for a long of things.
Would Custom-Romming it deal with the issue? I'm new to android but can easily follow instructions.

I have an app I use to take photos and it takes over the camera and flash fine and does the photo uploading for me. The problem is it doesn't allow the zoom to work in any format with the S4 zoom. Is there something I can change on the camera or is this simply a flaw in the app software that is preventing the zoom feature from working?
Someone might know of a trick but I bet it voids the warranty!
I imagine the app is designed just for camera phones in general rather than specifically for optical zoom versions as there aren't many of them around!
I've noticed that the K Zoom can't zoom in when used within Whatsapp.
What is the app you use?
The app is Provision by Vauto. I've talked to the app developers and they said it's not made to work with any zoom. It would be nice if there was a way to make it let me use the camera in its native state because the uploading feature of the app saves me a lot of desktop time copying and uploading photos from a digital camera but the quality of the pictures aren't up to par if I can't use the camera's features. I don't mind voiding the warranty on the phone if there was a way to get around it.

I Gifted this phone Elephone p9000 to my girlfriend and after updating it, she is facing the same issue as you are, the camera goes dark or low light when she uses apps that utilize front cam seems the update wasn't optimized properly.

Anyone else having an issue with the camera zoom being messed up when I open it from within WhatsApp.
It seems to open a zoomed version of the camera. It's not the 1x zoom but it's not quit 3x zoom.
It's quite strange.

I (ecological reason) bought a Fairphone 4.
It's really not what I expect from a phone so I am looking to update some apps.
The main issue I get is this one on Camera.
Fairphone 4 doesn't allow to record video from the wide angle camera... Yeah... WTF !!!
It seems to be described on the sepcs, but why ??? How a camera can be reduced to not recording video ?
My old LG G6 does it with wide camera.
Whatever, I tried to use other apps as Open Camera, HD Camera and others but I doesn't find a way to switch, even for picture mode, from the main camera to the wide one.
Do you have any idea of which app I may use ?
