When my father using telephone, the telephone suddenly death, when it powering up, it always booting logo, can't enter os, when i try to enter recovery mode, it asking for password for decrypt, it said storage encrypted 0 mb, when i want accessed internal storage or sd card, i must enter password also, but i didn't set any password in recovery mode.
I try wipe and restored os, it always stuck logo boot, it happens twice, and always asking decrypted when i entered recovery mode,
I must full flashing via spftool then restore my backup os.

After an unexpected boot loop, I recently performed a data wipe/factory reset in recovery mode on my device and it asked to "Confirm Password". I entered my 4 digit code and it returned to a boot loop.
Now, when I try to enter the recovery mode it immediately asks for my password again (I can't even get back to the recovery mode menu). If I enter the password correctly, it returns to boot loop. If I enter wrong, it says the wrong password entered, and I can try again.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix? I can enter download mode in Odin but I am holding off flashing anything new until I understand what is going on. My phone is an AT&T SGH-i777 and is completely stock (non-rooted).
Thanks.
Enter the wrong password repeatedly, probably 5 times, and it will let you wipe again, and hopefully that will clear the problem.
Does the wipe if you enter the password wrong 5 times the same as normal wipe? The message before the final wrong entry says SD card will be wiped.
I am under the impression that a normal data wipe/factory reset will not touch the DCIM folder where pictures might be saved. Will this different wipe affect that?
Thanks.
So... I was installing some things on my PC and rebooting like every minute and ParanoidAndroid has this feature that whenever you connect your phone on the computer via USB it turns on and I didn't notice it was connected.
When I finally realized that, I saw this message "encryption was interrupted, please factory reset your phone".
I tried to do that via TWRP but when I go on recovery mode it asks for a password and hides data on the phone so I can't mount the SD card or the Internal memory to reinstall a ROM.
Can someone help me?
you need to format them
So my friend's phone died during a software update which completely messed up his phone. I thought it would be a simple fix, no problem, but there is hardly any valid information out there that can help me (due to a lot of dead links). Here's the issue:
The phone (SPH-M950 btw) loads the initial "Samsung" image on the screen. Then it goes away and starts to boot up with a blank screen. My computer recognizes the device until a couple seconds late the phone restarts itself and continues this boot loop. I cant boot into the stock Android Recovery but I can boot into Download Mode. I've tried for hours to flash all kinds of ROMS with Oden but, despite the fact that Oden says everything worked, it still continues the boot loop.
If possible I would like to get the OS to work again without losing any data. If not then I would at least like to get the phone to return to it's OOB state so it's at least functional.
Help please?

Did you try to access the recovery mode after you flashed anything?
Try it and check whether it works. Then try to format /system /data and /cache (internal data will be lost) and then reflash stock rom via Odin.
Then try again.

I forgot to talk about accessing recovery mode. All that happens an Android logo pops up and starts to look like it's loading the recovery os but then the phone just reboots again and continues to do the boot loop. Nothing changed no matter what custom recovery I flashed.
I would have no problem if I could just get into the recovery menu but that's my biggest obstacle.
I need help.
I'm running this rom and lately my phone has just been rebooting randomly, well now its switched off and I can't get passed the "Samsung Galaxy S3" on boot. I don't even get to the omni animation.
I booted into recovery in an attempt to flash an old nightly but when I click on install TWRP says 0 internal memory and 0 external memory?
What do I do?
Please help, thanks.
Edit - Another thing, I went to reboot while in recovery and it said I had no OS installed?
It just occured to me that I could probably flash a rom/nightly via odin, since I can get into dl/recovery mode, but since it says 0gb int and ext when in recovery, will this work?
Not detecting memory seems like a hardware issue to me, but I know literally nothing, just asking/helping/promting
ps when i plug in the charger, the battery logo comes up
although its empty (not green), and it has a little circle in the middle to indicating loading of some kind, but the circle doesn't spin, like it's crashed.
i know i have at least 50% battery because it says so when i enter recovery
Recovery format sdcard system data cache .
Boot to download mode flash stock rom via Odin .
Hi. I needed to format the data from my old galaxy using twrp 3.2.3 (latest version). I selected "format data", typed "yes" and the process started. Then two or three lines of red text appeared saying "unable to mount \data" or something like that and the phone, which was still connected via usb to my pc, rebooted. The connection to the pc was lost (I imagine no big deal), the phone rebooted in TWRP but I can't do anything, because the format process begins again without giving me the option to cancel it. And then again the phone reboots, and reboots, and reboots, always in TWRP format data loop.
I have a nandroid backup on my pc, but I have no idea how to flash it on the phone, since I can't use the recovery.
I CAN boot into download mode, if it can be useful.
What do I do?
Simple you need to reflash the stock firmware jellybean on sammobile then re root the phone and reflash the latest twrp.tar again using all while using Odin

my solution, was to change the system from ext2 since I can not format in ext4, it also works in f2fs and but it depends on the kernel with boeffla and LOS14.1 is running well in f2fs
