Making a tasker profile for tez(Google Pay)..?? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I want to make a tasker profile for Google Pay( Previously called Tez- India)
It always shows security errors whenever I try to use Google pay. I can use it by removing permissions like telephone, location etc from google play services. So, I would like to have a tasker profile for removing these permissions whenever I open Google Pay and restore the permissions when I close it.
(I am using Bouncer app for App permission control)

I'm running this shell command using root:
pm revoke com.google.android.gms android.permission.CALL_PHONE
But still getting an Error 255
I'm looking for answers.

[Q] email app disabled

I've had the basic 'email' and 'exchange services' apps disabled for a long time because all I've used is gmail since the beginning. (done via either rooted phone disable originally, or now just manage apps and disable, no root required) Now I have a reason to use them and while I can click 'enable' on exchange services, the email app is listed in the disabled section but the button on it says 'disable' still as if it was functional to start with..
What's the deal and how can I un-stick it?
I'm still working on this and haven't been able to make much headway. I've also found that I can't install the google keyboard because it errors out saying 'already exists'.
Any helpful information welcome.

[Q] Fake permissions and unauthorized operations

I do a lot of Android app testing. I use my regular phone, where I have my contacts and my regular gmail account. I never used a credit card on this account.
I mostly use APK files to install the apps.
I have 2 questions:
1. can an app display some permissions when installing, but have others hidden permissions ?
Example: instal APK file > says permissions "Network access" and that's it.
Can this app also read my data or make phone calls, even though those permissions were not displayed ?
What is I use an app to display ALL permissions ? Can it really display all or is there an way to still have hidden permissions ?
I use Android 2.3.7 root and 4.1 no root.
2. Can an app make unauthorized hidden operations, like place phone calls or send texts or steal my gmail password ?
Like I said, I never used a credit card, so at least that's not a problem.
But I have my SIM card - can an app place a value added call or SMS (I don't know the exact English term - expensive call), without me knowing about it ?
Or compromise my Gmail account ? I have an alternate email for recovery.
Thanks for your help.
Anybody ?!

[Q] How to stopp app from resetting autostart/event hooks ?

I am using the "autostarts" app to modify the autostart and events hooks. I notice that there are some nasty apps that simply revert the settings when they are run. The Amazon Appstore for example sets a call under "Time Changed" that triggers the app (and network traffic). When I try to disable this call in autostarts it gets re-enabled the next time I manually run Appstore again. Is there a way to revoke an apps ability to modify autostarts ? If this can only solved with another app, then preferrably something (ad)free and open source.
I am using privacy guard, but even with all options disabled Appstore still meddles with my autostart settings.
My System: Cyanogenmod 10.2 on a Samsung Galaxy S3 mini.
tnx Mark

"Device & App History" permission and access lock feature

Hi,
When installing/updating android apps, permissions such as "Location", "Camera Access" and other permissions can be turned on/off by using the hidden "Access Lock" app (or some 3rd party apps which are usually a better GUI wrapper to the Access Lock).
But what about other permissions such as "Device & app history", "Identity" and etc...
I don't see them neither in the "Access Lock", or in other permission control apps such as "Permission Manager".
For example, I have an app which requires:
Identity (specific: Find accounts on the device)
Device ID & Call Information (specific: read phone status and identity)
Is there any way to turn these permissions off ?
Thanks,
Lior

android pay in system administrators without installation of android pay

Hi,
I noticed the android pay has been added to device administrators in my android phone. I haven't installed android pay.
I have google play sevices 8.3.01.
I found nothing in google search about it.
Do anyone know if this is a part of google updates?
Let's return to this thread as I observed certain behavior.
Once I installed bank application - google pay device admin appears however I don't have google pay application.
I figured out that it is embedded into google services framework.
I disabled admin using system tuner but despite that admin appears again in random times.
Obviously bank app uses some google's function or google framework scans device periodically and enables it again.
It is not related to use bank app, nor reboot, nor google wallet in general.
I wonder if anyone has an idea what function is triggering admin to be active again and again.
