I picked up a Dell Chromebook 11 on an auction, but when I flashed a fresh copy of Chrome on it I'm stuck at enterprise enrollment screen I think it's an old Chromebook from a school but really I have no idea where it came from. Any ideas how I can get it to working condition? Thanks.

Hi everyone,
I have a Dell Venue phone and unfortunately there is a problem with it. The thing is after I charge it up it starts restarting itself and just keep restarting and stops at Dell logo. Nothing else comes up. I want to change the current android 2.2 to a different one maybe that would resolve the problem or is it just the battery? A hard reset helps for a few hours. Anyone? please! I hope I can fix this problem somehow and I am not going to lose my money and the phone.

I just talked to a dell representative yesterday and they told me the New OS upgrade to 3.0 has just been release, but we have to wait for the service provider to push it out over the air.
My venue doesn't have any of your issues, sounds like you might have installed an app that's messing up your phone.
You can do a system recover by holding down both volume buttons at the same time and turning the phone on until the screen loads, obviously do this from the off position.
Now that I think about it, it might be better to wait until you get an OS on an SD you can install.
I do not have a contract with a service provider (unlocked phone; prepaid T-mobile)....How am I going to get the update (Dell Venue; Android 2.2)?

I guess that might be where you would have to root it and then install the rooted version, but I don't know about that type of thing. It's just my guess.
I called a Dell service rep. Apparently they are releasing Android 2.2.2 and they are having big issues. The rep asked me to NOT upgrade when I get a message from the service provider (even if prepaid only I should get that) but check back with Dell whether the upgrade is ok. They expect a stable upgrade by end of August.

Thanks everyone. I tried the hard reset that is the only one thing which solves the problem for a few minutes but only for a few minutes. It was alright when I pruchased it but its started causing trouble a few weeks earlier. I do not know what the problem is. Is that true a new update coming out? Maybe that would make it OK. Dell UK is not selling the venue just the venue pro. I hope the update will help me. Or maybe I ask Lloyds about my phone insurance. I am falling in love with my BB torch white!

where are you located, because the dell mobile technician here told me it was 3.0 they are releasing over the air.
Dude, try to do a factory reset. Clear all the apps off your SD card first as I read that having apps on the card might prevent the phone from rebooting. Try the recovery option in manual.

They are releasing 3.0. Its supposed to be over the air,but just taked to att who talked to dell and they said a couple of more months

Version 3.0 - a version of the OS build. For Hong Kong - 3.02 for the Korean Olleh - 3.19, for AT&T - 3.21, but they all Android 2.2 or 2.2.2
Much doubt, that Dell will sharpen tablet's HoneyComb for our apparatus, at best it will be 2.3.3

I've called dell on several occasions to ask about updating. I get a different answer everytime. Once it was gingerbread at the end of august, next it was honeycomb at the end of sept. and the latest was, not too sure, but there will be an update, oh and ice cream sandwich will be coming out by december and should work on the venue..... not sure what dell is up to really and dell doesn't seem to know what dell is up to????
Yeah lol.... I asked about update at Dell service center in Hyderabad and they answered that they didn't received any info about update....

I am running mine rooted but theres not much out there, I had more luck with the Streak 5. It shipped 2.2, I really would like to see 3.2 at least. I mean at this point its kinda sad that im still running Froyo.

About 6 months ago I purchased a G-tab and went with the Vegan Root and I was quite happy with the devices performance after that....Well my G-Tab went unused for a couple months and now when I log in my device is not letting me access the market and I keep getting pop up windows and force close notifications. I did read on here that the Vegan developers where no longer supporting or updating the old Vegan, I have been out of the loop for a while and need to know what I should convert to to regain use of my device and access the market. This is very frustrating, I am not all that techno savy and regret not buying an iPad at this point.

I'm debating on getting a Mini Streak 5 from someone who installed a new screen lcd digitizer and they now it just keeps rebooting... I don't think they ever did a hard reset, everythings working touchscreen and all except it loaded up to the actual os and stayed there for 15 minutes and then started rebooting and cycling through the bootup dell splash screen.
Could installing a new rom from safe mode fix this?
The Streak isn't bricked, just bootlooping. So installing a ROM may fix the bootlooping.
Bad & Good News
Turns out when the guy replaced the screen he fried the mobo... Me and a friend at a small local pc store tried everything from rooting with new rom to factory resets. Always had the same problem.
But the guy at the pc store sells phones also and said he'd give me $100.00 credit to a new factory refirbed, rooted and unlocked dell streak mini if I gave him the one we tried to repair.
I bought Chuwi Hi8 about a month back and consistently it crashes after some usage. Happens both in Android and Windows. Updating Windows didn't help. I don't see "System update" option in Android mode. Factory reset doesn't help either.
Do you guys experience the same or is it stable for you? I'm trying to check if I got a lemon or others see this issue as well.
Can someone guide me how to set it up to get a cash dump and how to install GDB in it for dump analysis? Currently I have no clue why tablet crashes every now and then.

I have bought chuwi hi8 via DealExtreme at a very hugh price 109€ and it is the worst tablet i ever tried. The machive overheats all the time. If you restore windows you lose the O.S. swaping app. Youtube on android is limited to 720p. The ambedded video on android crashes 40% of the time. And the Multi user options on android does not exist.
If you brighten the screen on windows via energy saving, windows crashes all the time and becomes unusable, The audio works via WDM compatibility.

Thanks for sharing! Yep, it crashes every freaking time. Windows throws blue screen, and Android just hangs. Such an unstable product. Does this company have anything like QA control?

Mine is perfectly working since I bought it, both android and w8.1, and since this very morning it's been upgraded to w10...
For the upgrade, I just needed to put a microSD for the w8.1 backup abd after 3-4h of download+backup+install is working just great.
Have to try the windows utility to reset the tablet? Or just tried the factory reset on android?

I've similar issue but with play store only. Permanent crash. Many Android reset without success.
No issue on windows... instead windows himself ^^
Could be a bug in Android build or your device overheating?
I have the tablet for 3 weeks now and im using it daily. I don't have anything to say bad about it, only the fact that it kinda gets warm to the touch if I use it a long period of time, nothing abnormal.
No real issues so far
Raheem, I bought two recently and I do not have issue with either. I notice when play a game, it does get warm and after an hour or so, the thermal limiter comes on. Battery life is only about 3 hours of on screen time.
Android 5.0 reset.

I just bought a nextbook Flex 11A on ebay .. haven't had it 1 day, and now its acting all 50 shades of odd.. I tried to reinstall windows 10, however it says threse a problem.. I even spent the 99.99 bucks to go pro, it wont even install that.. I got this one because I droped and shattered my other nextbook. id love to love this tablet, but right now,i hate it.. its freezing up, and driving me batty.. id love to know how or if its even possible to get a clean install, or if its repairable, or rootable, mabey a duel boot. to an os that works?? thank you for all your help in advance..
