Hello
My tablet has poor gps reception and I was interested in doing a mod I saw: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1318892
All im wondering is which of the connectors I see that is the GPS antenna. I have a Samsung galaxy tab pro sm-t325:

I am trying to turn my 8125 into a GPS device.
I have everything i need. Except the GPS receiver. Any sugestions? they are not expensive so i want to get the one that goes better with this phone but have no clue wich one, any experience?
CNET says the belkin is really good.
Go with any unit featuring the Sirf III chipset -- it has superior performance with low signal. Go to Semsons or BuyGPSNow for a good selection.
Thanks 3way. I took part of your advice and bought from buygpsnow. but not with sirf III, bought this http://www.buygpsnow.com/i-blue-hig...ceiver-ps-3200-free-arkon-vent-mount-509.html
Read a lot of reviews and everybody loves it. And the most important is that the battery lasts 30hs!
hi, i have recently used a method to improve the gps signal by getting the antenna higher in my Galaxy S and i broke it.
So i heard the i9000 has a unused antenna down there , can i take that of there and solder it in the area of the broken antenna ?
Please if someone can help me ??!!
I got a chinese android mtk phones with a lousy gps, and I heard a lot of people who have the same problem, fixed their gps using copper foil tape, making their own external antenna out of it
So I plan to do the same, after I disassembled the phone, I failed to identify, which is the gps receiver, could someone help me ?
ummm, no one ?
found it, and fixed it, using copper wire+aluminium foil
deleted mtkgps.dat and epo file from data/misc, boot it up, ran gps test only and compared it with my other 2 phones in my room (where the gps signal's usually rare to none)
now it works perfect as car gps, since I planned to use it as a car navigation only LOL
Hello guys,
I'm having a reception issue with my beloved S2. In my opinion it is a hardware issue, because when I connect some wire to the external antenna jack at the back of the phone (that connector at the left of the sim card, just above the battery), the receptions improves.
Does anybody know where S2 antenna is at? Can it be replaced?
Note: I'm using the original USB-flex. I know it messes up with the reception when it is replaced.
Thank you in advance
Hi,
trying to use the S7+ to connect to and monitor my solar panels , have been using my Samsung S10 and TAB S4 for this task without any issues from any room in my house (so distance up to +10m). With the S7+ it looks like the BT signal/reception is very weak, I need be closer than ~ 5m to the solar invertor to make it work. Anyone with similar BT experiences / Any suggestions ?
Thanks, Marcher
quick update, todays firmware update TK3 seems to have improved reception, almost as good as on on the S4 and S10 ...
