The only possible way is find an OTA or firmware with such file. If you find it, you will have to flash the OTA first, then patch boot and flash it as you want.

Thank you for your response, sadly I don't think that there is something available for many of those devices, they are very uncommon and low brand also King Root, Kingo Root, iRoot and similar can not obtain a fully working root, the last way was the Magisk boot.img patch. If I obtain root with one of the said programs then there is a method to extract the boot.img?

Acer Predator 8 GT-810 Root needed please!

Hello, i am willing to donate if someone can figure out a way to Root the new Acer Predator 8 GT-810 Tablet. Been looking everywhere and tried many common root apps with no luck. Thanks in advance.
Mee Too! I will also donate when someone helps me to root the Acer predator 8.
Amazing tablet, but what's the point when you can't root and hook up your Ps3 controller to play some emulators?
First i need root for the device to get it Ad-free and to install appOops, to delete tons of bloatware, a working recovery would be great and some custom Roms also.
I would love to have root for this tablet too
Anybody knows, how to root Acer Predator 8 GT-810 ?
I can unlock the bootloader, unfortunately I need to compile TWRP to install the SU binaries. If anyone can point me in the right direction on how to compile TWRP for a device that no devs are working on, I would love to try to do this myself. Thanks!

Hi man,
You can visit the "Taiwan101 ROM Factory" of Facebook to ask he how to compile TWRP to install the SU binaries.
URL as below : .facebook.com/tw101.rom.factory/?fref=ts
Please add www at the .facebook.com/
so I cannot use "post outside links".
(To prevent spam on the XDA forums, ALL new users prevented from posting outside links in their messages. After approximately 10 posts, you will be able to post outside links. Thank you for understanding!)
And if you success root Acer GT-810, please help provide the Root Tool to me, thank you very much.:fingers-crossed:
I might have a way of easily flash TWRP, and install SuperSU, use the Temporary recovery project to boot temporarily into twrp and flashing supersu, theres an easy way of getting twrp permanently but ill try it when i get the tablet 31th of this month.
Also this temporary recovery does not require an unlocked bootloader since it uses a flaw in bootloader to load twrp, but it might be patched, just try it.
Perhaps this new found exploit can be used in rooting this tablet. http://arstechnica.com/security/201...tflips-to-root-android-phones-is-now-a-thing/
Hi, i am thinking of getting one for my son to replace his aging xoom. I want a tablet that can be rooted so I can get rid of bloat wire, not overly fussed about a rom.
I have googled rooting and came across a page How to root Acer Predator 8 GT-810 on androidrootmania.net
Has anyone tried any of these methods of root. Thankyou in advance for replies

it's okay, if you root Acer GT-810 successfully, please help me how to root it with root tool, Thank you very much.
I want use xposed on Acer GT-810.
I think its time to share at least some results, i was able to port TWRP 3.0.2 to this device AND ROOTING this device. ill leave twrp 3.0.2 here for who wants it. Please read all of the post.
=============================================================================================
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT ROOTING:
After flashing TWRP 3.0.2, use the SuperSU 2.46 flashable zip, do NOT use latest version or will result in a bootloop. Good Luck and have fun with rooting. Links on bottom of the post.
=============================================================================================
REQUIREMENTS
1- Unlocked Bootloader (search on google if you dont know how to unlock)
2- Drivers and Adb/Fastboot commands knowledge
=============================================================================================
New TWRP bugfix update! Now you can flash stock rom on TWRP without bricking! Download Page updated!
=============================================================================================
Bugs:
1- adb shell command needs to be sent before system partition is mounted or it will give an error, after doing adb shell you can mount system and do all the modifications you need.
2- You cant flash any img on twrp it gives an error, im trying to fix.
3- Backups do work, but everytime twrp restarts, the device name seems to change (which means that on /TWRP/BACKUPS/devicename/backupsinside/ changes every reboot so you have to go get the backup inside the old devicename folder and put on the new devicename folder).
=============================================================================================
Im leaving an unsecured boot image because system seems not want to boot android if anything seems changed. So please if system does not boot after flashing twrp/rooting, flash the unsecured boot img on fastboot.
=============================================================================================
Also im asking just a little bit of your time to request our device to have our own forum threads as it will make it a lot easier to manage the development and make it easier for people with same device to find it, request it here, the more people the better the higher chances we get to see a forum thread for our device: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1660354

Rooting Android 5.1.1 with 14.6.A.1.236 build number

Hi guys. I have bought Xperia Z Ultra C6833 a few days ago. and I have updated my phone to the latest version which is 14.6.A.1.236 via online update in settings and my bootloader is locked.
I have some question about rooting my device:
A) I have searched many topics about rooting this build number and i have found 2 out of which:
1) the first one is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z-ultra/development/ub-14-6-1-236-stock-ftf-root-t3270850 and my question is can I use your method in my phone? I mean should I unlock my bootloader or not? Does it create problem that I updated my phone via online update and without Flashtools?
2) another one is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/tool-prfcreator-easily-create-pre-t2859904 and my question is= is it safe I mean my phone will not be hurt? I mean first I download stock firmware ftf file and put it in the software and add SuperSU zip file and blend them or mix them together and finally flash the result with flashtools. can I use this method for rooting my device?
help me pleaseeee:angel::angel: tell me which one is better or which method is better. please please please:angel::angel:
1) if you want unlock bl should be work 2) in this method prfcreator output zip file you should flash with CWM or TWRP recovery so you need unlock bl or root phone.
if you want only root phone without unlock bl try kingroot app then replace supersu (with this tutorial) you can also flash zip file created with prfcreator after root and install XZDualRecovery.

Weird, it worked on my zu same build number, you can try iroot or kingoroot different from kingroot, otherwise you should unlock bl, no other idea, maybe you'll find someone else to help you or search for other method.

hi
u just need to install IRoot on your pc and then run it to root your z u.....,after rebooting it says ' Root Successful '
but u dont have the root access yet................................,
u can find an App called kingroot ((u cant unistall it - like system apps )) open it and it will scan your device for root access.......then use it to root it
for the guys from in iran U have to use VPN to compele the process
Hi guys,
the kingroot app does work for me. But only in part. What I mean is yes it gives root access but for other apps like adaway it' doesn't. And the second part where we run the sh script with unzipped, mrw folder files. That didn't work for me. I get stuck on supersu update failed. Eventually I did find another way from one of our brothers here at xda and I did get root "YAY " but on one of the reboots I got into boot loop lol(ofcourse I don't blame him for it) . And now I am back here to flashing FTF to stock firm with no root. (again ?) I do have a fair idea about rooting a few of my devices but this baby just doesn't want to be mine.

Im in possession of a Xperia Z Ultra, with lollipop 5.1.1 14.6.A.1.236, how do i go about rooting it? Ive been reading along on the forums and internet, and the only thing i can come to is using this one click program Kingoroot (and the likes), but those dont seem to be installing (error code).
What's the best way rooting my device? The USB port is abit unreliable, im using the magnetic port to charge the device.

Is this legit? Anyone try it yet?
Hmm... It could be valid but when I see rar files inside of rar files inside of zip files it sure smells bad . OTOH the batch file does seem focused on this phone so who knows?
If you unlock the bootloader and download the stock rom, you can use magisk to root the device. There are plenty of guides on using magisk to patch stock images, but if you need help or have questions I will do my best to help you.
man i have tried for a solid month to root this thing every day after work. I've done just about anything you can do with the files mentioned above. But the problem I keep facing is the locked? bootloader. i can't figure out how to access fastboot, if there even is a fastboot. i've checked all the drivers a million times, etc. If I could just get fastboot i could flash twrp and be good from there, but I can't even get the flash software I've got to break through. Any help would be greatly appreciated, by my family too. I can't give it up lol

Root Huawei without unlock bootloader

I know I need to have an unlocked bootloader to root Huawei phones. But I have found a new solution where there is no need to unlock the bootloader. Now I want to explain it. Huawei has a feature called sdcard update which flashes phone from sdcard. It made me think if I unpacked update.app and patched ramdisk_recovery by magic manager, I also replaced the real img with the patched img. Now I flashed it, result success. I magically checked the app and magically it was successfully installed. I have root access now.
Sorry for my poor English, I used Google translate.

Interesting. I think you should provide more details:
1. Emui Version
2. Apps or tools used to unpacked repacked update app.
3. If there needs sign some files and tools used for that

You can't make a custom rom without sources. Besides, we still haven't got any tutorial regarding how to do this method.
Please, can you make a tutorial and show us a video @Jonas336ts
Too many pictures on first post.
Ok so I think I understand how he did it. Magisk has an option to manually patch a file. So basically, we use this guide to patch ramdisk_recovery.img : https://www.ytechb.com/how-to-patch-a-file-in-magisk-manager/
Now here comes another question : How do we get ramdisk_recovery.img? Simple. Find your ROM's update.zip file. Then, open update.app (or whatever it is called) using 7-zip and extract ramdisk_recovery from within. Then patch it with Magisk and then put it inside the update.app. Put update.app in your sdcard/flash drive and flash it using *#*#2846579#*#* method. Does it sound simple? Not really. There are a few issues with this and it sounds pretty strange that it works.
1.You need to sign the update.app file using Huawei keys. How did OP get these keys?
2.You can't simply replace files inside the update.app, unless you unpack and pack it, but again check reason 1 (unless the method has changed/I knew it wrong all this time)
3.It's impossible for the ROM to boot after doing this method. How can you still have root access when your bootloader is locked?
4.Doesn't EMUI know the update.app file was tempered? If it was that simple to flash stuff then we would have had a root guide like this a while ago.
Either way, this is my 2 cents. I am waiting for OP's video. But judging he/she's been inactive for a week, I doubt it.
EDIT
This method is impossible to be done. Reason being : There is absolutely no WAY you can get the update.app file for your rom MANUALLY. Unless you find a way to get Firmware Finder back, don't get your hope so high. I am sorry.
Another update : Ramdisk_recovery is not the type of IMG that Magisk patches. You need ramdisk.img. So basically this seems very fake. Still no tutorial.

In theory you should modify a dload firmware that can be written. But I suggest you to stay away.

Completly lost trying to root G715FN

Hello,
Let me try to recall everything I tried.
The first thing I have done is to unlock the bootloader. I had 0 troubles with that. But after that, I tried to root the phone and there is no luck.
First thing I found is that there is no dedicate root tool for this phone. So my first option was patch boot.img with Magisk. I done that but it give me an error with vbmeta verification.
I read some guides related with TWRP but had almost the same issue. I also tried to port myself TWRP with the same luck.
So after that, I though the better idea is was to built the house from the ground, not from the roof so I started searching about VBMeta and that stuff. I'm not very sure what's VBMeta or what it does but AFAIK, it's something that check several firmware integrity (maybe CRC?) and, if it's not the correct, it will say so and don't let you begin the phone. Several investigations later I found out that I have no clue on how to path/change/whatever VBMeta in order to flash a patched boot.img with Magisk root and so, I can't install/port TWRP.
I'm so sorry for posting this here and I know that there is tons of tutorials but that's my main issue: I find several guides, some for some phones (PCBs), some outdated, some without complete information... If you could point me out on the correct direction and help me with this I will really appreciate that.
Thank you in advance.
