Tutorial: MIUI camera on AOSP ROMs (tested on Pixel Experience ROM) - Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Themes, Apps, and Mods

I was told MIUI camera wouldn't work on AOSP ROMs like PE ROM. However, I managed to get it working.
Note: I did this on Pixel Experience ROM, but it should work on Arrow OS as well.
KNOWN BUGS:
For some reason, there's an error when switching to selfie camera when using the default "photo" mode and "square" mode. If you know a fix, let me know. Selfie cam still works in video and portrait modes though.
Steps:
Download this https://github.com/XEonAX/ANXCamera10/releases/tag/13.perseus
Install Magisk zip
Reboot your Mix 3
Grant all permissions in settings

As I open the app I get this: "Camera error: can't connect to camera"

Dipper worked for me you just need to add perseus.xml to system/etc/device_features
I tried it on PE and AEX both worked

So I've extracted perseus.xml from the app on the 1st post, dropped it into the zip of your link, installed via magisk, rebooted, granted all permissions before opening,- aaand still displays "can't connect to the camera".
Did I miss anything? AEX
EDIT: on my second attempt I've instead installed your version first, rebooted, then before opening pasted the perseus.xml into rom's system/etc/device_features, set permissions in settings, opened the app, and it lacks UI icons and crashes upon using shutter with volume buttons.
EDIT2: upon changing the perseus.xml file permissions to writeable, some functionality is regained, no longer crashes, but the UI is still messed up.

I think this is the last one. Work for me on EU but I have read somewhere that this also work on custom ROMs.

Hi, I can confirm the app works on Mi Note 10 Lite (toco) - on Pixel Experience it worked fully. Now I'm on Evolution X, and everything works except the ultra-wide lens. When I choose ultra-wide, the app crashes.
Anything I can do to help investigate this? I'd really appreciate.
