Does the global version have the touch screen issues? - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

Title.
Comment ONLY if you have the global version of the phone. Thank you

I believe it the build date is November 2018 or newer, there should not be any screen bleeding due to improved quality control.
As for touch issues, they have a software update in the current beta and next stable version which will apparently remove this issue.
I bought my global version one from an AliExpress seller in Dec 2018, no idea what build date is, I get the occasional touch issue when typing and the app closes suddenly (pain in the ass when it happens) but happens so occasionally that it's a non-issue. No other issues from mine.

Not yet, I'm not using the betas. Just waiting for the stable version which is due at some point this month.
It should include widevine L1 support, no touch issues, notch notifications, 4k60fps recording and some other improvements so looks like a decent update.

Have you had any other issues? I want to buy the phone but what concerns me is the touch issues that the phone has.

Not many issues otherwise. It just takes some time to understand MIUI and adjust the settings to your needs.
You might want to wait until the next stable firmware update to know whether touch issues still persist

Don't worry.. as far as I know all the bugs are just software..the fixes are already being tested.. ppl have reported that the latest global beta has fixed most of the issues
No need to sell it.. most of the bugs will be fixed
I have a Poco and even after MIUI 10, that bring to us improvements on touch, the problem still there. And it's horrible for fast typing.
So if I was you, at the same price, Zenfone 5Z would be the best choice. Of course One Plus 6T is even better.

I changed the keyboard its fixed and i dont face pubg issue after changing to miui 10. Sometime the screen is less responsive thats it. But its considerable worth 10000 less
My recommendation if you know what you're doing is to run Lineage OS 16. It's so much cleaner and smoother and has fewer bugs than the official software.

That's on you, because we don't know if this firmware will be available soon or not. It could take more than a month, we don't know. I'm happy to now that it was fixed in a beta firmware, but is not available yet. We will receive it anyway I suppose.

Is it worth it?

Hi i just wanted to ask if its worth buying the pocophone f1?
I read some problems with the touch screen is that a thing? any other problems that i should becarefull?
Im Between mi8, f1, and honor 10 which one you think i should chhose?
The touch screen issue is fixed in the latest beta it should roll out in the next stable build ~ 1 month. I never had this issue, i have tried many beta and stable builds and no issue with touch. Other than that this phone is solid. I live in Europe, bought it local, don't regret the decision.
Thanks for the answer.
So I guess it's random if you get the touch screen issue or not.
The phone performance is outstanding. However my only issue is with the screen: is oversensitive and it has a notch (I don't like it). The notch can be hid using developer options, so that is solved for me xD.
But again, the phone performance is godlike.
If you can afford the xiaomi mi 8.. then go.for the mi8..

10.3.12.0 is one of the best update so far

It fixes some major issue...The most problematic video recording issue got resolved...phone experience now is much smoother and you can feel it...What is your take on the latest update to Redmi note 7 pro??

I saw it yesterday, did not install. today I cant see it anymore.
Video recording still lags, not as much as before, but still does... the best thing is the security patch update, it's July!

Will there be anymore security updates now?

The last update I have received for my Uk m5 10.8 is with security update dated April 20
Will there be no more now with all the fuss with Google?
Don't think so.... Updates have been sporadic at best all the time and I think they stopped updating the m5
I've got a M5 8" and last update was May 2020.

According to https://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/bulletin/ it is no more on the list. Has only just been removed, as it was there last month. So there might be one last patch left (optimistic me...)
Since I have a US model, it never received a major update and only sporadically received security updates. Very disappointing.

Sold mine now anyway.
Unless this mess with Google get's sorted out I won't be coming back to Huawei.

I agree - and it's nigh on impossible to get a branded tablet of the similar modern spec at a sensible price. Or one that gets updates.
I'm getting my Samsung Tab S 8.4" fixed and updated as an 'upgrade' to my M5.

I'm no lover of Samsung tablets - but the current S range are significantly more expensive than the M5 was.
Though I believe Samsung have promised more updates for certain parts of their range than they did in the past.
I mean the original Tab S from 2014.
Mine just updated to 9.1.0.345, security patches dated September 1, 2020.

Mines being offer 345. I need to get the URL to extract recovery img to root it. It's not listed in firmware finder. Anyone know how to find it?
Both of my SHT-W09's just updated to 345 version (September 2020 security patch level) here in UK. Haven't found any bugs. Pleased that these live to see another day, there's no tablets come close without paying 3 times as much for the Samsung.

Question Redmi Note 10 issues help

interested in buying the Redmi Note 10. but, then heard bout the issues with the phone with regards to the touch, display etc....
not very sure if I should still be buying this phone, so looking for some input from you guys here who already own it & are here for the ROM's.
will mostly switch to Custom ROM if I buy it.
1) are these issues related to the software or hardware when it comes to the default factory ROM shipped with the phone?
2) are any/all of the issues resolved after installing the available Custom ROM's?
3) is there anything else I should know about or consider before buying this phone?
any input from you guys will be highly appreciated & help decide my phone purchase, ty
I have the redmi note 10, 4 - 128 version running stock MIUI, 12.0.7 , and don't see any problem related to hardware, sometimes the software don't feel smooth but I think is optimization issue. I read about the screen problem in Pro version due to high refresh rate, but is a software issue too...

I think yes, of course it depends of how much money you want spend, in my case the RN 10, is the better option compared with the Samsung and others available in my country.. the screen and dual speaker are the main features for me...
I have NT10 and it have a great hardware and also miui version doen't have any problems with it.
Minor issues on the RN10 such as 10-second AOD timeout but nothing you cannot live with.

The custom roms have a major deal breaking bug with video recording. Even with Gcam the video recording doesn't record sound. Quick restart fixes it but after awhile it goes to same state. Don't know how long will it take for the developers to fix this major bug .
If you don't record much videos, maybe it won't bother you.
Other bugs in custom roms are minor and varying with each rom. But, there aren't anything serious like mentioned above.
If you don't like MIUI then custom rom is the way to go. And, custom rom solves almost all of the shortcomings and annoyances of MIUI. I don't like MIUI so much that even with video bug, I am using Pixel Plus Experience ROM.

There's a Magisk module "MIUI AOD Fix for Mi 10 Lite 5G (monet) (xiaomi.eu) v1.1 by SantiagoG242".
It bypasses this stupid limitation (hope they fix it soon)
