few years ago, I was using ASUS Zenfone 2 ZE551ML
and my hotspot's password is:
3.14159265358979323846264338327950288419716
but after Zenfone 3 update to Android N (on that time, i was using Zenfone 3)
the system limit maximum 32 character
my password is forced changing to 3.141592653589793238462643383279
Is there any method to modify the maximum characters limit for hotspot?
modify the file under /system ?
or modify the setting.apk ?

I managed to successfully & manually (using HEX editing) change the MAC address on an MTK Android
i have now got a new Snapdragon 801 android 4.4.2 phone, and the system structure is totally different.
Any idea how to permanently change IP address manually by editing config files, without using any apps?
Thanks
This works Only for the Zenfone 5 / 6 users with Rooted Firmware TW/CHT/WW
Find Installer.exe inside the extracted folder
Run it and You will have both Enable and Disable options..
Note: You can’t change the User while you are in Homescreen…”Issue with Cloverview”
From Lockscreen or From Settings You can switch the Users..
Extract using the password : mathan.in

With an update interrupted when I rebooted again, I noticed that the direction of the WiFi changed (and keeps changing) each time it starts up with warnin: NVRAM err=0x10.
I tried with the Hex Editor to change the values from column 1 row 4 to column 1 row 9 but without any result, I change the file permissions to 0660 rw rw, I think it is for processors of types MTK6577, MTK6589, MTK65xx and that remedy is not valid for MTK6797 .
Someone can give me some idea to solve my problem, and maybe some more.
Thank you very much.
i cannot change my apn settings, if i change settings system say that error access point name not available for this user.
i use MultiRom 7.7.20 on Redmi note 3 PRO in India.
Before I upgraded to Android 8 or 9 I was able to edit a file
p2p_suplicant.conf to change Wifi Direct name and passwords.
That's not the case on Android 9.
Where can I change these values?
I am running Android 10 on GP 3aXL. I have two Devices A and B connected via Wi-Fi direct. On device A, i have a proxy server running. I want to share my internet connection with device B. When i scan wifi on device B, I see SSID with the name of the remembered group on device A. I try to connect and it is asking me for the password. Where is this password info located? Tx.

How?? What do you have to change in p2p_supplicant.conf to change Wifi direct username and password?
I'm trying to tether wifi using wifi direct, I looked into this 2 yrs back, did everything I could to change pass so that, I get a fixed pass everytime, not a randomly generated one, but I couldn't get anything to work, I thought it's not possible and gave up
You're saying you've done that, I really want to know
