A couple of hours ago, I noticed that my time on my status bar was not accurate. It is 2 hours and 4 minutes off. Upon further looking, I discovered my three widgets on my home screen were inaccurate with the wrong date, also. The date is showing Monday, March 11 on all three widgets (calendar, weather, and calorie counter widgets).
I have uninstalled the update (did nothing to help). I uninstalled the calorie widget (did not help, although if I don't use the widget, but just the app icon, it (app) works correctly). I also dirty flashed the rom (us99820g). That has not helped, either. Also my calendar app is stuck on Monday, March 11.
Any suggestions?
Thx.
DISREGARD: FIXED IT. DATE AND TIME IN SETTINGS WERE NOT SET PROPERLY?

Wow, how did that happen? Normally your date and time are taken from your carrier signal.
That being said, I have Clock Sync app which synchronizes my phone to atomic clock NTP servers daily.
These screenshots below are from the Google Play store. I only set mine for once a day. "Every hour" would be overkill. I don't set "strict" intervals either. I do have set on boot, because that's also a good time to do it.

Used to need root, but I there's a non root option also.
Here's an article about the app:
https://android.gadgethacks.com/how...omic-time-for-perfectly-synced-clock-0170500/
But you can figure it out for yourself, I'm sure.
Thx, ChazzMatt. Before I found out the answer to fix it, I had googled (no luck), rebooted several times, re-downloaded and dirty flashed us99820g (no luck), deleted a mod that I had just updated (no luck), deleted a Magisk module, resynced apps, etc. No luck on any of it. That's when I posted for help.
I remembered a few days ago, that I had physically changed the settings in the date and time. When I checked it again, I guess (I did) turn off the "automatic" switch in the time zone (I had been experimenting with different roms, etc.), even though it was set to the correct time zone. Flipping the "automatic" switch on, fixed everything. I don't know why it changed, except that I updated a mod and messed with a Magisk module a couple of hours before I noticed the change.
So, put it down to operator error. Normally is on my mess you'd. ?.
Thx, again for all your help on here.

I have searched the forum and was unable to find any posts regarding this so I figured I'd ask the question. If this has been discussed elsewhere, I apologize for the double post.
Last night I noticed a new icon appear in the start bar across the top of my screen. I didn't feel like messing with it as I was half-asleep, so I decided to deal with it later. In the morning, I took a look at my phone and realized it appeared to be a satellite dish. There was also the "notification" button at the bottom of the screen. After repeated selections, the notification would not go away, so I decided to ignore it. A few minutes later I thought that maybe the new icon had something to do with the reports that Verizon is preparing to release an official upgrade including unlocking the GPS. A few months ago, I flashed my phone with one of DCD's ROMs, so my GPS, while slow to lock, is functional. I decided to open Google maps and try to get a fix with out priming the GPS. Much to my surprise, I got a fix in about 20 seconds! That's the fastest I have ever gotten a fix.
About an hour later, while on my way to work, I tried getting another fix and had one within about 5 seconds. After this success, I decided to try to get my calendar button back, so I did a soft reset. I did get the calendar, but the new icon was now gone. I tried again for a fix once I was at work, and again, about 5 to 10 seconds. I have still been able to get fixes in record time all day, but the phantom icon has not reappeared.
Below is a picture I took of the screen this morning as from browsing this forum for a while, I know its one think to tell a story, but another to have proof. If anyone knows what the icon was for, why it appeared, what it may have done, or why its hasn't come back, I'd love an answer. Thanks.

did you install quickgps lately? where from?
that icon is included by HTC in diamond roms. i noticed it but havent looked at what its for yet.
its not included in WM/by MS
Looks like you have "QuickGPS" installed and that's a reminder Icon.
Connect to Internet, tap icon to bring up QuickGPS then download the latest satellite orbital data to speed up acquisition and fix. The data is valid for 2 days 22 hours on my PDA.
egreen,
What interface are you running there? That looks kinda like the HTC Touch interface, but it's not.
Just curious....

I installed QuickGPS probably a month or two ago, but rarely use it (I use the HTC GPS tool most often). I probably got it from either here or PPCGeeks. They are the two forums I most frequently check for anything concerning my phone.
Thanks for the responses. Maybe the speed of the GPS fixes was coincidental... either way, I hope it stays this way.

I loaded HTC home on there and then the HTC Home Customizer. I changed the clock and icons. You should be able to find them here:

Yeah, thats the QuickGPS reminder icon but its odd; I get 6 days 23 hours when I d/l the info... Wonder why you only get 2+ days.
No idea why and I only find basic download options. Version is 1.00 (build 327.716).
Is (where is) there a later version or might there be a registry entry to amend?
I have version 1 as well but the build is 615.715. I wish I could tell you where I got it but I don't remember where I d/l it. I'm sure it was either here or PPCGeeks....
OK so this is completely new to me. My current location for weather has changed. Any ideas? It almost looks like Arabic text, however the location weather is correct. Any ideas? Driving me crazy.

for the jihad!!!!
i would try rebooting, if that doesnt help maybe turn on gps and fiddle with maps until you get a location for yourself then re-sync the weather.

tried it all man. I've rebooted, restored various roms and they all switch to that as my location, tried maps too. no dice on anything.
like i said, the weather condition and temps are correct.....UGH!
I think it looks like its from around Indonesia or Malaysia? Maybe your phone thinks you are on vacation in Kuala Lumpur
Hah well glad I know what locale my phone thinks I'm at. Driving me crazy though. Between this and my new found poor bluetooth A2DP streaming I think I may be heading towards a replacement phone.
In case this comes up with others, it's a bug with VZW's location services. Make sure to not have that turned on. HTC apparently acknowledges this bug with their weather widget and the service. Google and GPS are fine to use.

Following up more. I'm rooted and this only seems to be affecting custom ROMs. Stock sense does not have this problem. Not positive now what this is, but it is still happening.
Having the same issue on my phone. Running Bamf 1.3 and the 1.76ghz kernel and apparently my phone things i'm in Iceland, when i'm really in Florida lol. Weird as heck bug.
I have a work calendar in Google Apps here at work which I share with my Nexus 1 and my Dell Streak 7. It won't allow me to share any details, only free/busy, so on the Android devices I see free or busy for the timeframe. No problem. At least I know something is going on and can check in on GApps to see the details if it's an event I don't recognize.
Now I've recently started noticing that events which are deleted REMAIN on my calendar as free. I've recently changed job positions and a lot of my previously recurring meetings are off my calendar now, but they still show up as Free on my phone. Gah.
Daily view.. I have NO actual meetings today OR tomorrow except for the one personal event. I have two, 9:30 and 11, that are from deleted recurring meetings. And a second at 11 I created a few minutes ago testing to see if it showed up, and sure enough it showed as busy while it was valid, then continues to show up as "free" after.

My weekly calendar. Sorry you can't see much, but all but 2 of the dark blue squares are "invalid" free entries... I tried to take a screenshot on my tablet to make it more obvious how many of these stupid things are in my calendar now, but I just kept getting black screenshots and don't have the SDK here at work.
Anyone know how to fix this? I don't see it from my personal calendar on GMail, I don't see this "free" data showing up, although it could be hiding it, not sure how else to figure out if this is specifically an Android issue or something?
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Aha, on a hunch I tried to clear Calendar Storage and all of the old events that were showing as "free" are gone! Interestingly the one I created today as a test is still showing up.
So this tells me it's definitely something Android was doing... but can't imagine why.
Maybe someone else has a better solution, but this is a decent workaround if you have a lot of recurring "Free" entries showing up. Disable Calendar Sync in Settings->Accounts->Your Google Account, then go to Settings->Applications->All and find Calendar, Force Kill, then Calendar Storage, Force Kill, and Clear Data inside of Calendar Storage. Then go back to Accounts and re-enable Calendar syncing. It'll take a few minutes to finish, then your calendar should be fresh.
FYI I don't know if this has any other affects, but AFAIK since it's all cloud based, this should not lose any data. Not sure about maintaining old entries or non-AOSP ROMs, such as Sense ROMs which might do weird combos of local/Google calendar events.
Myself and many others have had crippling issues with bluetooth on CM-based roms and it has gone unfixed for a long time. Bluetooth suddenly just stops working. The icon disappears from the notification menu, and if you try to turn it on, it appears to turn on for a fraction of a millisecond and then shuts off. Rebooting doesn't fix it. Clearing cache from safe strap does fix it (temporarily), but it's a pain in the ass and takes a long time.
This has happened to me both in CM 10.1 and Carbon, and it happens about once a day. Once every two if I'm lucky.
Today I managed to restore bluetooth completely by simply force closing the "Bluetooth Share" app. I did tap "Clear Cache" first in the app's settings, but it didn't appear to do anything (cache remained at 12KB), so I don't know if that step is required. Bluetooth was immediately restored and the icon immediately reappeared in my notification bar. Why this worked but rebooting doesn't is beyond me. I would think since all apps get shut down on reboot, that a reboot would have the same effect... who knows.
Anyway, I just thought I would share my discovery with other frustrated Razr owners. I have only tried it once, but I will update this thread next time I attempt this and post my results.
1st Attempt: Success
2nd Attempt: ??? (will test without clearing app cache)
3rd Attempt: ???
If this does indeed work consistently, it may be possible to create a bandaid fix for this whereby an app running in the background constantly checks to see if bluetooth is turned on, and if not, executes a force close on the app, automatically bringing bluetooth back up.

Just to add a few problems we bumped into.
First night after update, no problems.
Second night after update, the phone had a reboot during the night, so my wake upclock did not go off.
Third night after update my phone went 'dead' during the night. Reviving it with Power button and Volume+ button did work.
After second night AND after third night the settings for the Screen Timeout where cleared and had to be set again.
This all happend on 2 different phones (my wifes and mine).
My wife had this update previous week and i had it this weekend.
So it seems to be 'normal' that his update will do these things.
This morning again my phone was dead.
My wife only had this ones.
So after reactivating, and changing the screen timeout again, i restarted my phone twice now.
Hope it now has stopped.
Anyone else have these problems after the update?
I'm having the exact same issue after updating. The phone froze up twice overnight already, requiring a hard reset to get it going again.
Sorry to her that, but i do not think that a hard reset was needed.
We only did a software reboot, and after that it all started to work again.
"known" bug of the latest software version.
Try activating the screen saver during battery charging, for my X20 it works (it seems that if the phone is running something while charging, and the screen saver somehow keeps it running, the bug does not appear)
Damn, last few day

Damn, the last few days multiple times a reboot during charging (at night).
I tried on my phone a trick from a previous Nokia (double tick to awake), but that did not help.
My wife tried your tip and had no trouble anymore (2 days in a row now) and i tried last night and it seems to work.
Thanks for the tip, this seems indeed to work now.
