Apps to Adjust Brightness - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

I have noticed that apps like Tasker and other brightness adjustment apps cannot change my Poco F1's brightness to higher settings compared to the stock MIUI brightness slider.
Do you experience the same issue ? (for those who tried these type of apps)
Thanks

I thought it was a custom kernel issue as I use Franco Kernel, but it seems like the phone itself. Still looking for a solution.

I'm on stock rom and non-root, I think there is some security on controlling brightness by any 3rd party and it should be disabled

Then it really could be some security or restriction, argh. I agree it must be disabled, have to find out how. Maybe I'll check with the 3rd party folks, they probably need to know anyway.

Ok, the developer of my favored app to adjust brightness fixed the problem, BFC app.
Now, I hope Macrodroid and Tasker can fix it, it might be the same problem for new Xiaomi phones.

yes that swipe feature sure is missing.
perhaps a custom rom in the near future can address this issue.

With e.g. CM9 its possible...
In regards to brightness I'd like the auto brightness to realise when i am outdoors and its very bright so as to increase the brightness to make a dark screen visible! However outdoors visability is not good. HTC one s was slightly better
sent with SGS3

Yes in h2os ,since I have used that custom ROM only I don't know about other but yes ambient display option is present in h2os and h2os camera functions an ui is also better than OOS so I recommend you to flash h2os.
MarcoDroid will let you do the same thing regardless of the rom you use.

How to enable AOD on MiRoom MIUI 11

I think the MiRoom port for miui 11 is from mi8, so the aod components should be there right?
Is there any way to enable the aod designs?
I don't care about battery really but the aesthetics, I hope someone can help ?
I'm guessing it was deliberately omitted considering POCO has a LCD. There probably is a work-around this limitation but trust me it isn't worth it. I know you don't care about battery, which means you're probably around a wall outlet at work/school.
There are some apps on the Play Store that mimic this feature, but the battery drain isn't worth it. Plus they require so many permissions, that you have to wonder what exactly can they access and can't.
When MIUI 11 was announced I too was madly in love with the AD skins, they're so unique and downright sexy. But even if I had a phone that supported it, I wouldn't use it. I prefer longer battery over anesthetics.
I'm sorry I didn't answer your question.

How to calibrate screen in MI a3 without root ?

How can I change my screen's color temp (cool or warm) as stock android doesn't allow to change screen colors. any app ?
Only way I've found so far is to use night light feature in Settings. It makes the screen warmer but unfortunately adds a red tinge even at lowest intensity.
BTW, I'd be interested to know if there's a way to calibrate the screen WITH root. That may make it worthwhile for me to try rooting.

Ah sorry to hear that.
Anyhow, Google has removed the mechanism used by these apps (also the XDA gesture one) in Android 11, so pie controls don't have much future unfortunately...

damnit google ^^ well i found a workaround because i really don't want to use the stock navigation, i now use LMT and fortunally the custom-rom i use offer a navigation switch quick panel, so if i really need to go inside the settings, i can switch it on, navigate with the stock one and can still use LMT again outside. Thats kinda dumb but it works and it's at least something..

Ok, that's an acceptable solution. Are you talking about Omni ROM ?
P.S.: Here is the article explaining in details the removal of the overscan feature used by LMT and others : https://www.xda-developers.com/google-confirms-overscan-gone-android-11-crippling-third-party-gesture-apps/
