Hi guys.
Has anyone managed to run the google face unlock module on the X820?
I downloaded this module and flashed it with TWRP under rom pie (AEX).
I have reboot my phone.
The module is present in magisk manager and activated.
In security / lock / smart lock / trusted face, I analyzed and added my face.
Smart lock is good in the trusted agents of my X2. But when I want to unlock the lock screen, I have only the choice between fingerprint and pin.
So, my question is, did you ever get Smart Lock on X820? and if so I miss a step in my description?
In advance thank you.
it's good I managed to make it work. for info Google face unlock module magisk works perfectly with the x2. great.
I think you should've just flashed the gapps micro or above. They have face unlock included in Smart Lock.

Strange though. I used RevengeOS and now using RR unofficial, and both have it included once gapps are flashed. Good to hear that you managed to get it work.

Yes, and the same in RR unofficial, and I have face unlock.
Before 9.0, I used DU, and the same, just flashing gapps after installing the ROM gives you the face unlock. Make sure you don't reboot after flashing the ROM, flash gapps and reboot after that. My flashing pattern is ROM, gapps, Magisk, reboot to system, and then flash modules for Magisk. All seems to work well.
I am new user but review good and my friend suggest he also use

What vendors should be used with this Rom? Feb or March?

A clean flash is recommended. so a factory reset over nitrogen rom will work? What is the recommended way?
So far I can't get data going or change my APNs on my phone for Verizon straight talk.. anyone have a solution?

Did you try the regular Oreo solution with disabling pin lock security temporarily and reseting your phone?
Hmm so far I can't seem to get it to run.
Latest bootloader, radio and TWRP installed.
Vendor I already tried OPM3.171019.017, OPM3.171019.016, OPM3.171019.014, OPM3.171019.013
Flashing DU, gapps pico, SuperSU
Reboot
Watch the "Google" logo for 99999 hours
@edit: SuperSU 2.82 doesn't work. User the latest beta SuperSU or Magisk.

Also I seem to be getting a lot of force closes and I did a clean wipe install as well. I may just need to take on a different ROM altogether seems like nothing is stable on Oreo for me with Shamu.. runs smoothly for a day or 2 and then things start happening.. random reboots, WiFi network issues where it won't let the network be saved, not to mention now mybdata is broke on straight talk Verizon Sim card.. wtf

Try magisk 16.0
I'm testing it for two days, it's working very well except its' not smooth compared to others (like nitrogen I was using before)

Same thing here.
Got s9+ snapdragon, Android Q, rooted, with the same issue.
When I had a rooted pie, same problem, then flashed with stock (old security patch) and it worked again.
Can't remember after which security patch stopped working, even on stock firmware.
Maybe it reads the Knox flag.
I've been searching someway to enable magisk hide when installing it on TWRP (no luck there) as I think (hope) MirrorLink might depend on one of Samsung's services that flag the phone as rooted.
Anyway, I still have my fingers crossed for a solution.
Be safe and Good luck mates!
... Solution:
- copy "Certs_Fetched.xml” from: /data/data/com.samsung.android.app.mirrorlink/shared_prefs/
to: / data / user_d /0/com.samsung.android.app.mirrorlink /shared_prefs/
.... if you do not have folder "shared_prefs" in /data/user_d/... just create it

Why don't you try. Extract boot.img, patch from Magisk Manager and flash by Fastboot.
You don't risk anything - if it doesn't boot you flash stock boot.img back.
There is a thread with instructions and everything (for MIUI 10, 11), I think some already reported they did for MIUI 12

Why don't you use official TWRP v3.4.0, there is even v3.4.0.1 from mauronofrio, and IMO the best v3.4.0.1 from brigudav
Again, I would patch boot.img and then flash magisk_patched.img from Fastboot (or from TWRP), but mileages can vary
