Nillkin Scrub/Frosted Shield for Nokia 8.1/X7 - Nokia 8.1 Accessories

Anyone tried this case? I've used it on three of my previous phones (P9 Lite, honor 8 lite and Mi A1) and was really satisfied with it, but they didn't have such huge camera bump as Nokia 8.1.
Currently I'm using a silicone one that doesn't completely protect the camera (it protrudes above it a little bit), but by looking at photos of the Nillkin one it looks like it protects the camera bump pretty well. So if you could tell me if it is really the case (*ba-dum tsss*) that would be swell as a would like to order one ASAP.

I have it on the nokia 8.1 and it does protect the camera really well.
What I dont like is that they covered also the power and volume buttons.
I've had this case for other phones and it was better without cover of the buttons.

OEM Lumia 920 case (CC-1043) review!

HI all! I just got the Nokia made Lumia 920 Protective Cover CC 1043. It's a fantastic fit and feels just like the original finish of the matt NL920. it's very nicely made and it's almost invisible on the phone! it's great product for someone who want's keep the original look and color while adding a lot of protection!

I have been looking for a review on this. I have tried various cases on my L920 and while most of them are pretty good I was wondering if this one from Nokia would be actually better than say the Case Mate case which is my current fav. Looks like this offers more protection and with my Zagg screen protector I should hopefully have no dramas.
I've never used any other case. but this one is fantastic. perfect size/fit, and very slim. after a few says of use I don't notice the extra thickness at all. it's pretty much perfect I don't know how other cases could be better.
It hasn't been mentioned -- but does this case provide better "grip" than the phone? Before I got the case that I am using, I dropped the phone because is slipped out my hand ... the one that I am using has bumps along the side so that it provides a really good grip to the phone when I pull it out of the holster ...
But the case that I am using -- while it works, has a funky small strip on the bottom that does not lie flat. However, the grip is the main reason that I use the case -- and I have heard good thing about the fit of the Nokia case ...
So, can you comment on the Nokia case and its grip as compared to the phone?

I find the grip to be some better.. not too much difference. my phone too slipped out of my hands with out a case a few times, but so far (12 days) it hasn't happened with the case yet.
just let you all know, make sure there's no dust particles between the case and phone when you put the case on, the sand will scratch the back of the phone over time and little "spots" will be left.

I've just gotten mine (even tho the phone isn't even here yet lol). It feels good but it's definitely more slippery than the OEM case for the 800, still a good deal anyway IMHO.
Do take care of dust particles though, especially is you have a matte finish L920. I got my L920 scratched badly by this case. I am still not sure it was actually caused by dust particles but that is the popular believe.
Here is my post on wpcentral. If you read though till the end, I also found a solution from keeping the phone in good shape.

Yes the spots on the matte phone is caused by dust between phone and case, here's an explanation:

A guy at work had the case, and I decided to get it ... better fitting than the TPC case I was using, but it was too slippery ... tried some egrips on the sides, but they did not stay on the curves on the case ...
I thought about it, and put a series of grooves along the edges (cut with a band saw) and these have helped a lot! The cuts are about 1/4 mm deep, and spaces about 1 - 1.5 mm apart. The grooves are about 1 mm wide (the width of the blade cut).
Just another way to have both the fit of the CC-1043 with the grip that I wanted ...
took the gray one for my lumia. to prevent me removing the case every now and then so there won't be any particles, i placed on a wet install protector from gadgetshieldz. seems to do its work. love the gray color.
Two issues, don't know if anyone has had this: one is discolouration around the edges from use, and the second is that the cutouts for the flash and camera/backplate aren't 100%. Now, as a disclaimer, I purchased from a supposedly reputable eBay seller, so while I believe my case is genuine, there IS a chance it is not.

Any case that better protect the Camera?

Are there any case in the wild that offers better protection around the camera? Currently using the TPU case that came in the box and while I like it, i am not able to place the phone on a flat surface as I believe the edges of the camera is exposed and would like to keep that from scratches and damages. If anyone has or knows of a case which better protects the camera, I ll be interested.
Thanks in advance.
not yet, got the spigen Rugged Armor, the lens is too flush with the case. a drop on the back and the lens will crack
I was thinking the same thing. The lens sticks out at the back and the case that comes with the phone just sits flush with this. I'm concerned about just lying the phone on to the table with the lens rubbing on something and getting scratched
Interested to see what other people are going with. For now i'm using the in box clear case. Mobilefun seem to be the only place (UK) that have some options. Olixar brand have a few options but without reviews it's hard to tell how they'll fit. I know many case manufactures design cases before phones are released and working from a phone size spec doesn't always result in a good fitting case. Many of the case stock photo's i've seen have a mock P20 pro with a flat camera such as this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Flexible-A...8&qid=1523214240&sr=8-7&keywords=p20+pro+case As previous posts have mentioned ideally I want the case to protect the protruding camera while still be slim.
got the Olixar FlexiShield from amazom too https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07BL27WMJ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
sent it back, a bit better than the huawei case, there is a lip around the camera, but its very minimal, about half millimeter, so as long as you palce the phone on a flat surface you should be ok, but not if dropped and the overall protection is very bad too, screen is pretty much unprotected,
I've got this one arriving tomorrow. From the photos it looks like it should have good camera protection.
I found a few interesting cases on eBay. It'll be a week or two before they arrive. They're cheap and look like they offer better protection for the camera. I'll save spending big bucks for when something reliable shows up

I'd be a bit concerned with that one, the images are clearly mock-ups as they show all 3 cameras flush with the phone's rear which obviously isn't the case with this phone.
It arrived today and protection is good. Great fit, good grip, easy press buttons, good cut outs for speakers etc, nice lip to protect the screen and the rear lens is not quite flush so doesn't touch when placed back down on a table etc.
Bargain for the price and I'm very happy
I just got this case. I think AliExpress selling it for few USD... The camera lens is only slightly lower but will do for the time being while hunting for a better one like uag.

Yeh I randomly ordered it as I didn't realise there was going to be a case inside the box. However am glad I did as its pretty sturdy and will absorb some of the impact. Also like how the gaps are not too large against the ports.
Usually i bought Spigen thin fit for all my phones, but, until now, they don't have for p20 pro.
I´m looking for something light and thin.
I bought some tempered glass protectors for the three lenses on aliexpress but they haven't arrived yet. Will post an update after I try them.

I received this one today and tbh it seems pretty good, nice fit and protects the lenses nicely round the back, only negative would be it doesn't have raised sides to protect the screen when face down
Anccer Huawei P20 Pro Case [Serie Matte] Resilient Shock Absorption and Ultra Thin Design Cover (Smooth Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BPGHDJS?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
I'm currently using the case that came with the phone, but I'm after the smart view case (have it on my Mate 10 Pro) and also after a screen protector as unlike the Mate 10 Pro, you don't get one
I received my MOFI hard case and while it fits beautifully , it offers 0 protection for the dual cameras they are flush with the case. i also grabbed the MOFO full screen tempered glass and that also fit great but has left a "oil slick" look to the middle of the screen, i'm hoping this goes away after a few day. But if not i would shy away fro the MOFI stuff. ill post up if the screen spot goes away.
I'm looking for a slim case with holes for a lanyard/wrist cord.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Spigen Rugged Armor for Huawei P20 Pro - Review

Spigen has been my go to case maker for the last 5 years and once again I was not dissapointed with the quality. The case is a perfect fit for my Huawei P20 Pro and looks stylish. All buttons and ports are easily accessible (there are cutouts for cameras, speakers, USB C port, IR blaster and microphone). The case doesn't add too much bulk and the buttons are easy to press. There is a lip on the front surrounding the display that should protect it from drops face down.Would definitely recommend. The camera on the back doesn't stick out and the phone lies flat on the table.
For 9.99£ it's a bargain imo. Link to Amazon.
I've decided to live dangerously with this phone, I've ordered a KitBag from Amazon and will have no case or screen protector on it, unless a DECENT full coverage one comes along
I got the same thing but unbranded for £3.99 on ebay. literally exactly the same.

Thank you for posting this review. I was about to buy one too but was concerned If any of the camera bump stuck out or was nicely tucked in. Spigen rugged armour is the best phone case I've ever had. incredible shock protection yet doesn't scratch funny enough. They clean up great and look new throughout (or at least mine does).
Damn, just got this case. Really slick, I'm a little worried about the camera it's rather flush but better than nothing haha

I can vouch for the Slim Armor case. Just picked up a P20 Pro yesterday and Spigen was my go-to brand and it's really nice and not super bulky.
The rugged armor is good but the glass screen cover that Spiegen offers is crap! I've had it on the phone for 2 days, just took it out of my pocket and theres a crack right across the screen cover! This is with the Rugged Armor on the phone too, so theres a nice big lip above the screen cover to protect the edges. Nothing else in my pockets either, I'm very careful with my phones.
I have to disagree with the above ref the Spigen screen protector, I have had one on for 3 weeks and am really impressed with it. My phone has been with me everywhere in that time and has taken a couple of drops and knocks and the cover is holding up really well, also it looks and feels far better than the others I have tried. I'm using with the Slim Armor and together it's very well protected
I'd be surprised if the screen protector just magically broke on it's own. Probably just took some minor impact at a fateful angle. Maybe ask Spigen for a warranty and see what happens.
I returned my spiegen tough armour because of the lack of camera protection.
went with this instead... purchased 3 of them(different colors)
great case with camera protection
Dooqi Huawei P20/P20 Pro/P20 Lite Ring Stand Holder Shockproof Rugged Case Cover
I got the Spigen case before I picked up the P20 Pro. Never had an issue with it; I even stuck an iRing to the back of the case so that it gives me some added security if I somehow lose grip of the case.
It's true that the camera hump is close to the plastic spigen back. But it is enough to protect the camera. There is no doubt that it could be better. Spigen have recognised this and brought out a new case. See the spigen website

Razer 2 Phone Cases

Hello Everyone,
Figured I will start a discussion about cases available for the Razer Phone 2. Please feel free to place your input on the cases that you are rocking or found online for the phone.
Regarding what case I am using at the moment, I went with the Razer Phone 2 Word Case - Black. So far it is the only case that I have found for this phone and from what I have heard it is the best choice (For Now)
As far as the feeling of the case, It will give you the necessary grip for the phone. It feels just like the Soft Rubber Cases for the iPhone, which is not bad at all. There is some Alcantara in the inside of the case for the backing and this should prevent scratches on the back of the phone. :good: The case does feel thin and flexible when you wrap it on the phone, I've had instances when I pull the phone from my pocket and the corner is a bit off ( not a big deal )
Overall protection The sides are protected for the most part. The Top and Bottom parts of the phone are exposed; however, there is a protrusion on the top and bottom that will protect it if you accidentally slide it on a flat surface. There is also a protrusion on the front end that will protect the phone is you decide to place it face down on a Flat surface, this will let you enjoy the RGB! :good: On a side note I also have the tempered glass, that is sold by Razer, installed and with the case I can still place it on a flat surface and there is still a small gap between it and the surface.
That back side adds a centimeter of protrusion to protect the camera when you place it down. Again this is only if you place it on a flat surface, anything that is bumpy and you are playing with fire.
The back part also exposes the Razer logo bit too much, in my opinion, I would like to see it match the logo of the Razer; but, this will probably block the RGB from certain angles.
I will recommend this case highly when you first buy the phone, I was running with the phone Naked for the first week while I waited for the case to be shipped. I got some small scuffs on the sides of the phone by the volume button.
Hope this helps and I am looking forward to your experiences with other cases.
I too went with the Razer word case but in green since black is back ordered. This phone is really slick so I'll be happy when it comes in to give me a better grip.
I have the same as you, and I love the look and set up. This is my first Razer, I am NOT a gamer, I just think it's about the coolest phone out. And I have a ton of them!

I agree! I don't game either on mobile; however, I do listen to a lot of music and the speakers are what makes this phone great for me
Hey guys!
I contacted The awesome folks at tudia and they have given us a discount on their merge case. The Code is 20RAZER2.
This was the best third party case for the RP1 imo so go ahead and get your discount!
Also if you could pop a comment and thank Tudia for the discount
https://www.reddit.com/r/razerphone...e_2_presale_20_off/?utm_source=reddit-android
Finally got my case in after my first order with Amazon got lost. The green word case is definitely a case I won't lose, it fits fine and is pretty minimalistic. seems to for nicely and is comfortable in the hands. It's also very easy to remove if you need to.
Just installed a DBrand skin on my RP2 and it is good so far, the only problem I have is that the logo cut out is pealing off. Not from messing with it, just from taking it out from my pocket every so often. I do have the Black Razer case over it as well.
Just giving you all a heads up when purchasing if. I'm all for it since it will protect the sides and the back from scratches that can occur even of you have a case on it.
Hope this helps!
Hello all,
I have the Razer brand carbon fiber case. It fits very well and looks really cool. After people see the unique phone and glowing snakes they realize the case is also unique. The whole look is just like no other device out there. The only drawback I see is the case is extremely thin so the camera module is vunerable. On the plus side,it adds very little size to the phone.
I just received the black Razer Word case today. It's noticiably thicker than the carbon fiber case and does a better job of protecting the camera and the device as a whole, but it doesn't seem to fit as tightly and pops off the side of the phone frequently as Same Old Dude mentioned.
Hope this helps.

You can get the Kevlar Case from Razer. Kinda pricey at 50 bucks. Or you can do a skin.
I'm using the light case as i don't want any cut holes on the back (dust issues) , so far I like it, adds abit of grip and feels solid, except for finger print smudges issues haha
then i found a brand call Olixar that sells soft rubber translucent cases and in the product photos there is no hole, but when i receive it the case has Hole! sadness..
why do they put a hole when the case is translucent.. doesn't make sense.
anyways, if you guys know any translucent case without holes (except for the light case by razer) let me know
I went with the green word case. I was hoping Ringke would come up with a Fusion case but I guess not
Holster case.
If anyone is looking for a way to holster the R2, I tries a couple iPhone 8 Plus holsters and found this "Encased" iPhone 8 Plus holster set works pretty good to hold the R2 with the UaBids rubber case. Looks good, too. Amazon - Encased iPhone 8 Plus Belt Clip Case with Built in Screen Protector (American Armor) Heavy Duty Full Body Rugged Cover with Holster (Black)
I am curious if the Artech case will ever be released for the RP2. It's out for the iPhone. I'm going to wager that the phone case will be delisted soon with no launch.

I am actually looking for a holster. But I don't understand how this will work I looked it up it looks like it's two pieces The holster and the actual iPhone 8 case and if I put that case on my phone how is it going to fit? And the camera cutouts in the button cutouts are different so I don't really get it unless I'm looking at the wrong thing. I do have a generic holster that fit my phone perfectly until I put a case on it and wants to I got the case on it it did not fit my phone perfectly anymore it was slightly opened and because of that it fell out of the case in the middle of the street got ran over by multiple cars completely shattered my phone and I had to get a new one and I had to get a new one and I had to get a new Razer phone 2. I don't want to risk it anymore but it's a very big phone uncomfortable in my pocket so I really want to holster but one that I can fit with the case. This would be perfect if it was actually designed for the Razer phone 2 but I just don't get how it's going to work with the iPhone 8 one. If you had a moment to clarify it would be highly appreciated. Thanks for all your help!

Thanks, I just found a perfect one though that fits with my case, was 10 bucks at a little shop down the street"Reiko" Brand with card holders!
I can confirm the Tudia case does not work very well with wireless charging. I can get it to work, but I have to lay the phone on its side. Just ordered the Spigen Liquid Air Armor and will see how that fares.
[Edit] Got the Spigen case and that seems to work a little better. Seems like the RP2 is very finicky about where it wants to be placed for wireless charging to work.

Looking for a case

I'm looking for a case that is thin, plain looking (I don't like those ones that look like PC gamer gear), adds good grip (the whole reason to get a case is because this phone is so slick), and preferably doesn't cover the buttons (I prefer cut-outs for the buttons). I'm using this one: http://a.co/d/4LTxEu7 and it's ok, but it's already cracked near the volume rocker and doesn't really add much grip. Any suggestions would be most welcome.
