Try downloading Minimal ADB, instal it to C, and run it with Admin rights. Also, try different USB port, try USB 2.0 port as 3.0 sometimes doesn't recognize the phone when it's in fastboot mode.
wait,, why isyour ADB running in drive G???
shouldn't that be installed on drive C?? you should open ADB FOLDER IN C,, then hit SHIFT + right click of the mouse to open up a commad
OPEN POWERSHELL WINDOW HERE in drive C... where your ADB as well as TWRP RECOVERY is in store..

What's your fastboot version?
Code:
fastboot --version
fastboot version 28.0.1-4986621
Also try as already mentioned:
different USB port - try USB 2.0 port
different cable (!)

Make.sure your twrp recovery is stored and located in your adb folder where you'll be running the adbpowershelle menu..
1. Fastboot flash recovery name_of_recovery.img
2. Fastboot boot recovery name_of_recovery.img
Have you tried this??

yes, bootloader unlocked, debugging enabled, no anti-virus, only windows security enabled. Do you think is it related to latest MIUI update which is preventing TWRP to install ?

You need to install fastboot drivers. When you are in fastboot you need to go 'device manager' or something like that on PC. Find android and use update drivers bottom option (install manualy) and point where your fastboot drivers are.

Do you immediatly reboot into recovery after flashing TWRP? If not, the Stock Recovery will be restored and twrp is getting deleted again.

Yes, I did it. But a blue screen appear fast and my smartphone turns off. It does not go into recovery at all, only after I start the phone normally. Funny that I only get message of success since the release of the bootloader until the installation of twrp.

fastboot could use in fastboot mode (shutdown then vol down + power) only and windows sohuld recognize this.
But I think your adb usb driver got conflict somehow.
You can try "usbdeview" to uninstall all adb usb drivers then use some knid of universal adb usb driver installer.

I have the 820. Could NOT get windows to see this phone on stock rom. Don't recall exact steps I took, but I do remember the ADB feature within TWRP saved my day. Windows would see the phone in TWRP recovery adb mode, but could never get windows to adb connect with stock rom.
Hey people, sry I'm coming back now. Lightning struck my street and burned my pc. But I come back with another problem, when I connect my phone to the pc nothing happens. I mean, I can't transfer cause MTP doesn't work. I tried install unninstall and install again adb, and all the drivers but it did not work. So I'll need to fix this to try to install twrp again
Guys! I was being too stupid! I found my mistake... I was using another smartphone twrp... So, for who are having same issue, pay attention to this. But, thanks everybody and sry for this hahaha

Has the X829 an encrypted partition?
I read about TWRP update.zjp and recovery.zip
What is difference?
How to backup full system, so I can restore it when something go wrong?
Is there a clear guide for X829 for updating to Indian/Chinese Rom?
TWRP has a update/recovery zip, what does it does?
Must the x829 rooted for updating to Indian/Chinese Rom?
Thank you very much!

No.
Me was told, that the X820 only has to rename a Rom to update.zip?
The guide for the **X829** , do I have to follow it every time when updating, or only 1 time, and every next time is renaming to update.zip enough?

Whenever you going to update official rom manually, you need to rename it 'update.zip'.
X829, x820, x821 etc...all are same device.

No, only one time to move from Vendor rom (the one comes with phone ), then you can normally update it OTA or local.

I think install TWRP is the easiest way. I bought X829 few weeks ago, installed TWRP and backup the system that come with the phone and can flash any custom rom. I did try flashed Official Indian 5.8.019S, China 5.9.020S,5.9.023S. You can flash any official stock rom with TWRP I tested it worked fine.
I don't find much different between the roms except Chinese rom have some Chinese apps and don't have Google service/Player store but can download and install after rom is installed.
For backup normally there is system image in internal storage maybe it's the system/rom that come with the phone. I have not try to restore this system image though I not sure its only install the rom or wipe internal storage too.

But when I run ADB usb, $adb_vendor_keys is not set...
ADB reboot bootloader gives same message, both are talking about ADB kill server?
When I command ADB kill server, and run ADB usb, it says

I have Daemon tools installed, but is not active on the right bottom in the task bar....
ADB devices gives a number with "unauthorised"...
I think, I know myself the problem...

Test TWRP Recovery before flashing internal
Hi,
After you install the drivers and Android Tools all starts to make sense
careful when flashing TWRP into the recovery partition, test with adb and the recovery reboot the file you have, I downloaded by mistake a lower version and all it did was show some lines like it was in a higher screen resolution after a while downloaded the latest and worked, flashed that one into recovery. This makes flashing anything again possible without connecting the phone to the pc other than to copy the file.
In my opinion the stock ROMs are heavy and make the phone work slower but if you want to stick to Official LeEco ROMs than I should advise the Chinese ROM, I've read it doesn't encrypt the Data mount points.
Make a backup of your current installation as mentioned in the link posted earlier, I'm not an expert also and am still learning stuff (forced by the low quality ROMs and the fact that it is an unofficial phone).
Lineage Nougat (new and tested in my phone) and Remix (from what I've heard) are pretty good and make phone light and working fast.
Don't Forget to install Google Apps afterwards (GApps as they call it).
There isn't really the need to rename the file to upgrade.zip just click the zip file and swipe to flash the new ROM.
I haven't rooted my phone, heard that Apps like Home Bank ones don't work so nvm that unless you need it but maybe in a few months you think otherwise, gain some experience first. It's not needed to do any of the things mentioned, only for changing Kernel settings and other stuff... I'm not there yet...
Tried Dolby Atmos from XDA but only one works, test it from the top and see if the app works. Install a Icon builder App to create the icon because it won't show in the settings like in the custom ROM. Other than that improves the sound quality.

Pedro

Seems drivers are not loading
Hi,
After you connect the device it should start to work if the drivers are correct, this may take a while at first but I used the info cmd to check if it was working
adb reboot bootloader
(will reboot device into bootloader)
fastboot oem device-info
(should return an ID for you phone)
fastboot boot twrp-3.1.0-0-x2.img
(should start TWRP in the phone)
-- flashing only
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.1.0-0-x2.img
(Make sure the last command worked correctly before flashing recovery, it doesn't have to be renamed to recovery.zip)
Install Android tools, after that the drivers should start to work. Let us know.
Regards,
Pedro

Hi,
Can't remember if the older drivers worked but I can test at home.
The phone should be unlocked already (x829) but you can issue the unlock cmd any time, it will say already unlocked or do it, but the phone needs to connect.
Did you allow USB debugging and did all the other steps they say in the forum? Switch on the phone to media option instead of just charging or it will not allow the connection.
fastboot boot twrp-3.1.0-0-x2.img
-- After the reboot with "adb reboot bootloader" cmd is successful if you issue this it will upload TWRP into the phone using adb and start it, I suggest to use this method at first.
the flash cmd will replace the recovery of the phone with TWRP Recovery, so everytime you enter recovery mode by pressing Vol. Up + Power it will go to TWRP TeamWin instead. Do a backup just in case of the phone using the "fastboot boot twrp-3.1.0-0-x2.img" cmd.
Let us know how it goes...
Regards,
Pedro.

-Connected via Media Connection
-Allow USB debugging
-OEM unlocked
-Gave permission on phone screen

Hey there, I can't flash ANYTHING to my poco f1.
Right now I'm running miui 11, android 10, and I'd like to get a custom ROM, lineageos 17. Well, now the problem.
I have always had twrp, but since yesterday when I flashed miui 11 (used as a stepping stone to los 17) twrp is gone, I was like sure I'll just reflash it but no, I can't. Whenever I try to flash anything, be it a recovery image or boot image. When I do the command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" it always gives me this error:
FAILED (Write to device failed (Invalid Argument))
Fastboot: error: Command failed.
Now I've looked everywhere online, and tried everything I found, that being:
Another usb port
Another usb cable
A front-IO usb port
A back usb port
A 2.0 usb port
Another pc
Reinstalling adb/fastboot
Also yes OEM is unlocked and USB debugging is on, I'm honestly out of ideas and I don't know what to do. Since now I'm stuck with miui 11, which isn't terrible, but I love los. I just want to be able to get twrp installed, I can do the rest myself... Thanks for any help in advance

Have you tried to use lpflash tool?
lpflash
lpflash writes a non-sparse image from lpmake to a block device. It is intended to be run on the device itself.
Usage: lpflash /dev/block/sdX /path/to/image/file

Also yes OEM is unlocked and USB debugging is on, I'm honestly out of ideas and I don't know what to do. Since now I'm stuck with miui 11, which isn't terrible, but I love los. I just want to be able to get twrp installed, I can do the rest myself... Thanks for any help in advance

For everyone have fastboot issues, please take a look on my POCO F1 Ultimate Collection & Guides, at AMD Fastboot Fix Guide. At least for me it's fixed with fastboot drivers and amd ryzen fastboot fix bat. Let me know on my thread if it's worked for you.
As the title says, it was almsot done then my stupid computer crashed right near the end of flashing my Poco F1.
Here is my problems now.
If I try to flash again, I click refresh and it see's it, but then the fastboot display goes away and it says in the rop left corner to click power button to reset (or something very simialr). So I can't flash it.
If I try to install TWRP through cmd I get all the way to the flash command line, but when I hit enter it gets stuck in cmd and does nothing and the fastboot display goes away and appears the same message as above.
I am hoiping there is some way to fix this otherwise I have to buy a new phone. Is there anyone out there that can help me?
Thanks in advance, please help me!

Your phone is fine. Just use a USB 2.0 for flashing or there is a patch file available for correcting usb.3.0.

Don't you need TWRP on the phone before you can fastboot to it?
That's what I'm saying, I can't flash TWRP to the phone.
So I thought I would try again, this is what it says when I try to do it in cmd:
Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.18363.1016]
(c) 2019 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>cd C:/adb
C:\adb>fastboot devices
5eff36ea fastboot
C:\adb>fastboot boot recovery-20181211.img
Sending 'boot.img' (35760 KB) FAILED (Write to device failed (Invalid argument))
fastboot: error: Command failed
C:\adb>
And then on my phone in the top left hand corner it says:
Hold any key to shutdown
I really need help as I can't really afford a new phone.

Sorry to hear. I saw that on Reddit thought might help. Well to revert that action, open that bat file in notpad and remove those actions in "regedit". It basically adds few things in registry. Remove them and reboot.
Does the device say unlocked when booting?
Had similar issue with the exact same error, if you have a older computer try the same process in that. If not download latest platform tools from here https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools and run command prompt from platform tools folder.
