Hi,
Just got my M20 pro and playing around with the camera. Read that a recent update ( EMUI 9.0.0.195) has added an AI Color Mode to stil-image capture.
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Huawe...e-for-pictures-as-well-as-video.403481.0.html
My phone is at 9.0.0.198 and I can´t get the ai color mode accept from when in video mode.
I know there is a work around with taking photo in aperture mode and then using filter but found it kind of strange that it´s not an option when taking the photo.
Anybody knows something abt it?
You have to download 178 version its only that has this option 2xx has not ia pictures yet
In Other forums of XDA explain how to upgrade to other versions
In 178 volume of speaker is higher and better and has better Display Performance

When you take photos with your S2. Do you share them online without any editing?
Personally I've found that all my pictures are lacking in contrast and are gamma saturated. They look too washed out and can be vastly improved with a few quick photoshop filters:
scripts->image processor->run action (recorded an earlier action of auto leveling the image (CTRL + L, auto level, save, close)).
I wish they could look this good on the first take, reckon there's any tweaks that could be made to the camera firmware without slowing it down drastically? perhaps even a separate shooting mode.. I guess that would mean a 3rd party app..

wow thats a big difference!
Ima try this aswell thanks
Lets hope cm9 improves camera
Hey guys, why that? Is it a driver stuff or?
Camera FV-5 can take awesome pictures, but using only 8MP results in 2MP for long exposure mode.
This is so bad, look what awesome pictures is could take in low light, and with "low light" I mean REALLY LOW LIGHT (unluckily I didn't realise it was out of focus it's just a try I made tonight at work)

I have been dying to know why as well. I hope someone responds.
It's the poor Sony API only supports legacy mode. They need to add full support
The current API is bugged, only returning 8.3MP to 3rd party ..... I wish they fix this issue asap bcoz there are many awesome 3rd camera out there.
Hi all,
As many always want to know how well the camera performs in today's devices, I thought it would be a good idea to set up a camera samples thread so people can judge the camera performance for themselves.
I'll post some samples when I get the chance but feel free to get the ball rolling yourselves until then.

Some photos I've taken with my RN4. It's not the greatest camera but it is possible to get some nice shots.

The camera on the note4 isnt bad... But its not great either...
I really hate the strange upsampling it does to fake a higher mega pixel number... I really dont get why they did that. With i could shoot in sensors native res instead... Anyway heres a pic
I am enjoying this camera, even though I don't really now how to harness the power of it's camera..
I work in security and take pictures of license plates in a large parking lot, and experimenting with my new LG V30, I took a simple picture while driving, and could barely read any plates in the picture, even though the lighting was decent.
I am not so worried about perfect color or anything cinematic. I just need to make the camera default the the most crisp and defined setting it can handle.I am in Manual mode, but a little unsur how to proceed. Any advice? Also can I make the camera default to manual mode when opened?
Thanks!

It looks like your focus may be off. May I ask why you prefer manual mode over auto? Here's one I took in auto mode.

Hello everyone,
I got myself this device a week ago and I'm already thinking about returning it.
Don't get me wrong, I know this is not a "camera phone" and I know its price range but look at the attached pictures: it's a screenshot of a 4K video I shot today. I used the stock camera app and my rom comes from the latest OTA update, 9.6.5.0(OEGMIFD). Is that supposed to look like that?

Look at the fur of my dog. It looks like a low bitrate issue but the file itself reports a bitrate of 42669 Kbps! This blocky mess can't be normal. Either my device is broken or this camera really sucks hard. I can almost count pixels.
Should I consider this normal or there's something wrong with my phone? Thanks.
Try using not 4K options, but 1080p. If this doesnt help try Footej Camera
