Type the following commands in terminal (one by one):
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/modemst1
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/modemst2
Reboot device.
If everything goes right then proceed
Download these files: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=5862345805528058499

You must put the Recovery at the same folder as moto-fastboot.
Download moto-fastboot here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1905222
down there, attached files: fastboot_moto-fastboot_ADB.zip - [Click for QR Code] (328.7 KB, 48 views)
as moto-fastboot and the recovery img are in the same folder, just do this:
moto-fastboot erase recovery
moto-fastboot flash recovery XXXXX.img (where XXXX.img is the name of the image file. Dont forget to put .img at the end of the file)

EDIT: It had worked! thank you very very much! !!
I just sold my phone on eBay. So I followed the instructions at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2006946 to Unroot, relock bootloader, & get back to stock firmware.
Everything seems to be working fine expect for the fact I can't get into Stock Recovery or fastboot screen. When I try to get into stock recovery/fastboot screen by pressing the power & Volume up buttons, the phone just starts up as normal instead.
How do I fix this?

Try this:
1) Turn on Developer Features (if you rooted it you know how).
2) download Android SDK (adb and fastboot) again if you rooted you phone I am assuming you know how to use those.
3) type
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
or
Code:
adb reboot recovery
it should reboot into recovery or bootloader if it doesn't. What method did you use for relocking your bootloader ? If you did it manulay via terminal (or cmd) (the laborious/error prone/manual method for re-locking the phone and installing the stock recovery/bootloader/kernel) that might cause this. Try reseting it via LGNPST. you can use the IRC if you need any help : #lg-optimus-g

I've been meaning to update the OP.
I downloaded "Minimal ADB and Fastboot" tool from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790, instead of Android SDK.
When I put in the command "adb reboot-bootloader", the phone just starts up as normal instead. When I put in the command "adb reboot recovery", I get the icon of an Android robot laying down with a red triangle having an exclamation mark.
I used the AutoLGNPST instructions to get get back to stock.
I've seen y'all mention to go to IRC channel if folks need help in several threads. But no one ever mentions a link or instructions how to get to the IRC channel.
What should I do next?

did you type adb reboot-bootloader ?
it's suppose to be
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
(with a space between reboot and bootloader)
and the android with a triangle is the stock recovery I think you need the press either the power of the vol button to get a menu like in CWR.
To join the IRC channel you download an IRC Client add Freenode as a server and then type /join #lg-optimus-g
If you don't know how to do any of the above remember Google is your Friend

Hello everyone.
I wanna start this by saying that I'm very new to all this rooting and custom roms.
So I rooted my Nexus 5 and installed multirom and a couple of roms, being the tinkerer that I am, I went to the recovery settings to mess with it, and I wiped the phone clean by mistake. Everything gone, even the OS.
Now I have no idea how to fix it, any help will be appreciated.

Boot into TWRP recovery and connect to your PC. Download a ROM from your development forums to your PC. You should see your nexus 5 internal storage listed on your PC. Drag and drop the ROM from PC to your internal storage. Flash ROM with TWRP, profit.

I don't know how you managed to wipe the recovery but here is how to fix it:
Download TWRP for nexus 5
Boot into bootloader, connect to pc and:
fastboot flash recovery /path/to/recovery.img
if that doesnt work do this:

Make sure you have the TWRP.IMG somewhere where fastboot can find it, ie in your platform-tools folder. Open command prompt there by holding shift and right clicking in that location. Select open command window here. Then type: fastboot flash recovery (name of)recovery.img
I suggest renaming the TWRP IMG to either recovery.img or TWRP.img , remember, Windows will automatically add the extension so only rename it TWRP or recovery. Otherwise, you'll end up with a file named recovery.img.img
Then after renaming, you'd type:
fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img or if renamed to recovery:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

*** First set up adb in your pc or laptop. Download the "adb setup .exe" file from xda. Search Google for "platform tools" zip file and download it. Twrp recovery image file is to be downloaded according to your model (Here it is vince).
After install adbsetup.exe you have to extract the platform tools zip file. Now power off your phone. Hold volume down and power button to get Fastboot logo. Open the adbsetup and type "y" every time.
In platform tools folder open the command window and type "fastboot devices" to check whether your device is connected. Then type "fastboot boot <recovery path>" it will boot into twrp recovery. Install twrp recovery image file and lazyflasher.zip with magisk zip. Now boot the system.

Thank you for your help :good: I have some doubts I hope you have time to respond. My Redmi 5 Plus is unlocked, but I can not use anything related to My Account. Can I follow this method that you published? I understand that this method unlocks the "bootloader" and installs TWRP. Right? Is it possible to already prepare a file with a custom rom on an SD card and then install it?

You said your device's code name is whyred. I can see you flashed orangefox recovery for lavender. I've tried my said method in Redmi note 5 (vince) and Redmi note 5 pro (whyred). If you have Redmi note 7 (lavender), use another method.

Hi, after unlocking the bootloader, and some stupid plays with fastboot now I'm stuck in this mode - any command I enter, and any combination of power/volume buttons lead to fastboot mode. I'm able to boot to any recovery image via fastboot boot command. I have magisk installed, but I can't uninstall it from recovery, because it says "cannot access /data partition - uninstall via app instead".
It's worth mentioning, that I was able to boot to MIUI about 2 times, and it was working correctly, but after restarting, it suddenly stopped working. I tried to reflash the stock system, but without any result - the issue is still the same. How can I fix that? Phone is lisa (5G NE) version

Tried 2 times, with miui 13.0.10 and 12.5.1 - no effect

Read this tutorial carefully:

Try without Miflash by running directly "flash_all.bat "in the rom folder
Nope, didn't help, only fastboot got updated, as I used MIUI 13 version now

Post the Miflash log or/and a screen shot of the CMD command with the bat file.

Another tool (choose bricked device).
it seems to me that this tool displays the rom you are on and automatically downloads the version(choose LISA _Factory).

Another way with orange fox.
https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=324804
OF/TWRP
wipe/format data type yes(if error, red lignes, reboot recovery and format again)
reboot recovery
flash a recovery rom
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/lisa/
Tried it with both OF and TWRP with no result. I think that some boot information is messed up, because even when I flash recovery, and type fastboot reboot recovery, then it still goes to the very same fastboot screen.

Have you tried flashing the boot.img of the same rom as the current one?
Yeah, to boot_ab partition + I think it's done automatically when using MiFlash tool / flash_all.bat

I meant manually with fastboot command because obviously on the Miflash logs the flash worked but in reality nothing or only a part was flashed.
What rom were you on before?
And what command did you run to get this problem?
