Hey guyz lg v30 h930ds spotted on geekbench running Android pie
Won't PIE custom ROMs also show Android 9? That's what PIE is, Android 9. Someone from this forum has an AOSP PIE custom ROM on their H930DS and they wanted to see how it compared to other phones.
This below was published back in November for US998, people got excited then the writer admitted it could be from a PIE custom ROM.
According to our tipster, It is highly possible that the LG US998 spotted on GeekBench comes with Android 9 Pie AOSP Custom ROM. Someone who flashed an Android 9.0 CUSTOM ROM on LG US998 uploaded the geekbench test result.

Only 1 US variant of the V40 so far. (and they are up for over a week now btw)
Doesnt mean the av30 Pie update isnt far, could still be 3 months (for the Korean model, we will see when it arrives everywhere else). Even though i heard rumours (no facts!!!) that korean v30 might get the update in may.
Don't believe benchmark tests. Wasn't there an xda article about this just the other day? Where mishal and a bunch of others from xda did a fake benchmark on purpose for a device that didn't exist and it made it to a bunch of different websites. That info can easily be faked just by changing stuff in build prop

Android oreo has been released a few months ago but custom roms have just begun to appear and most of them are far from stable.
Also open gapps are still beta on oreo.
Why is that? Is there something new about oreo that needs special "treatment"?
Hello everyone
Anyone intending to release Pie ROM on h850? :good:
I think we're a way far from seeing a Pie ROM, considering that even major Oreo ROMs for the G5 like LineageOS are still buggy.
oreo still hasnt gotten a full rollout and theres no oreo nightlys yet so highly doubtful
There is no xposed for Pie yet so I wouldn't flash Pie yet anyway.
Is anyone working on Android Pie Rom for our G5?
More like android BYE.
I think Oreo is the last android we will ever see because lg won't release pie for g5 and i don't think we have enough devs to create a custom Rom.
Maybe if pie is released for G6 we can get that rom and customize it for g5 because they are very similar.

While we surely won't receive any more official updates, I'm very hopeful some dev will provide a tool to repartition and start supporting treble. At that point, as long as there are no dealbreaking bugs, it won't matter nobody compiles for the G5, since we could just use generic images.
Just want to collate some information from a number of different threads and discuss some of the options moving forwards for H932 users. I've been a long time user of Lineage, but couldn't resist the urge to try stock (TWRP) Pie. Thankfully I quite like it (the battery life is amazing) because now (and correct me if I'm wrong):
The H932 that's been "upgraded" to Stock Pie cannot install a custom rom as it will break a number of sensors including the camera
In order to go back to a custom rom of Pie or lower (Lineage / AOSP) based I must:
Downgrade to stock Nougat by flashing the stock (TWRP based) img,.
Run every update since then
Install the custom ROM of choice, but run it in permissive
Wait for a generous dev to create a H932 cusom rom that makes use of Pie blobs
None of the current Lineage 17 based roms work on H932 despite running Pie Blobs
H932 Converter does not work on any Lineage 17 based roms
It's not a biggie for me, but I'm still kicking myself. At least I've still got Root and TWRP.
Bit disappointed that none of these GSI based chinese Roms will work on H932 but as I'm stuck on stock Pie anyway, that's a mute point.

You merely need to downgrade to T-mobile H932 TWRP-flashable Oreo zip. Why do you think you need to downgrade to Nougat?
But since you have been on Pie, when running the custom ROMs you will need a permissive kernel and some sensors still may not work.

Yes, you were warned in the T-mobile H932 Pie thread...

Dunno - think I read somewhere that people had luck getting the sensors back with that one, but if we can't get them all back then it's a mute point.

Yes - but not in the Stock Collection thread - at least not until later in the thread (by which time it was too late). Unless of course the TWRP flashable stock rom is not affected by this issue. Maybe I've got my wires crossed.
I'm not complaining - such is the life of a flashaholic. Nevertheless, I'm wondering whether there is anything on the horizon and what others plan to do.......

OK, maybe to get all sensors back. Yeah, some EU H930 had to do that, Refurbish back to Nougat.
Not sure how it works with T-mobile H932 and TWRP flashable zip.
While I updated to Pie on my spare US998 V30+ just to know the process to write it up, on my daily bootloader unlocked and rooted V30+, I'm still on Oreo. Nothing compelling about Pie right now, and I don't want to waste hours trying to install all the mods and getting everything set up again. I need my phone for my job.
i have us998 unit on Oreo with unlocked bootloader, i plan to upgrade to whether stock pie or LiquidRemix 10, which one is better?
sorry for my bad english, not my first language

Depends on what you're looking for in a ROM.
I'd say try liquid 10.0.11 while you're still on oreo. Once you update to stock pie, pie aosp ROMs won't work well.

Well I'm just ordinary user.
Btw Is there any advantage if I go with stock pie?
I'm just read the comment on liquidremix thread, and it's look like the android 10 version isn't stable yet
I think I'll just go with liquidremix pie
