This is bugging me for a while now. Everytime I put on a lighter wallpaper, I can see an annoying tint on the statusbar. Is there a way to just make it completely transparent?

Can someone please explain why a lot of my icons have turned from radioactive green to a more mustard sort of colour? Icons in question include the ones in the notification "power bar", all check-boxes throughout the system and all the status icons in gtalk to name a few.
SGS2 is completely stock, haven't modded anything at all yet.
See the attached pic. All the icons used to be bright green like the GPS one but after turning them off and then back on again they are now the colour of the sound and auto-rotate icons. If I were to press GPS to turn it off and then turn it back on again it would be the same colour as the other two.
Probably a simple answer but I haven't encountered this in all my years of using Android.
Well the murky green colour spread to my battery status icon as well so I decided to reboot and now all my greens are back to the correct shade. Very weird.
I'm not sure as to why, but my statusbar on my lockscreen is clear. I have a white background, so that makes seeing notifications impossible. Is there a way that I can set it to be black, or at least not clear?
Hey everyone!
I was wondering if it was possible to remove the statusbar entirely but retain the notification shade. The notification style is beautiful on lollipop and there's honestly no point of that ugly bar at the top of the screen anymore.
I used expanded desktop before but it requires you to go through multiple swipes before the notification shade opens.
Is it possible to remove the statusbar but keep the "one swipe" notifcation shade funtionality?
One way I thought this could work is to reduce the size of the statusbar to nill or just make it invisible and remove all the icons but I can't seem to find a way to do either of those things however.
Any ideas?
There seems to be a black bar that i'd imagine to be annoying when you have a transparent navbar. Is it such an eyesore that it seems like in the videos?
nvm
Let me explain the issue. Whenever I apply a pure black wallpaper, it appears to be grey near the notification bar. I know this may be done intentionally by Samsung to make the notification icons more clear. But this tinting is not necessary when you have a black wallpaper. This shadowing is fine when using other wallpapers but really bugs me out when I see this on a black wallpaper.
Do you experience this too? If so, has someone found a solution to this?
Bump. Any info on a fix?

A temporary solution is to use Good Lock by SAMSUNG. You can disable Status bar dim background.
I have the same problem there is a grey tint around the notification bar or perhaps, is this a normal thing?
I've been using a black live wallpaper and its removed the tint from the homeacreen. I didn't have it on the lock screen. I'm rooted now so I'll see if there's a way to disable that tint via root.
