Bootleggers ROM is an aftermarket firmware based on AOSP with some patches and fixes from LineageOS and various other projects. The idea is to bring custom features and some of the most useful apps on your device, with the goal of Making you feel like 家. With an almost stable source, this ROM is also packed with some custom wallpapers (avaliable on ShishuWalls), ringtones, fonts, and themes to bring to your device into a more fresh look and give you always a good experience. Also, we got our Telegram Group to talk about the ROM, share some love, ideas or even have fun with us!

Working smoothly, Google Camera works with video and the rom now appears to have an OTA updater. Also possible to pass safety net with universal safety net fix.

How to install the camera?? I'm new user with this phone plis
Common bug
Most common Bug of this ROM,
Phone got hot when running Google maps application, charging time. suddenly got very hot without any reason. Stock camera can't capture fully photo. Banking apps can't running on this ROM with any module.
Overall accept all problem I love this ROM. Because gesture any where and stable features is present in this ROM.Please add one handed mode.
add ASUS_Style_Suite-v3.zip for better camera stability.

I rooted it with magisk 19, did some hiding and have no problems with my Banking Apps or anything like that.

Did nothing special. Just dowbloaded the zip and flashed it in magisk.

Read the information in the build
The base framework is oero for custom roms of oero and pie
You are on a very old base framework & will need to update to stock oero due to bootloader and kernel changes if you want fingerprint to work

Great ROM! Camera is quite buggy as usual in Oreo ROMs, worked better after I flashed Alize!

Several reboots didn't fix it and even Footej camera that works decently on most ROMs immediately closes with error. Nice ROM otherwise but no camera works in this version.

Read This Before Flashing
If you get no sim error after flashing then reboot to recovery and wipe cache/dalvik cache and remove sim slot and insert it again.
If you get no sim error just remove the sim tray and insert it again while phone is on. For some reason it needs force restart to get network.

well the telegram link is of their official group so can't really post there coz we don't have official support but the link works
Bad news.... so far. I wiped, installed rom and pico gapps, the cool logo came up.... and after five minutes kicked me right back to TWRP. Just for fun, I flashed magisk and tried again. Same result.

No. Totally standard install.
1. Factory Wipe
2. Flashed rom
3. Flashed gapps.
When this didn't work (re-started back to TWRP on its own) I redid above but also flashed magisk. Got same result.
Now I didn't try reflashing the OOS 3.6.1 modem/bootloader files. I guess I could. Maybe I will.

Now to play with the rom.....
Okay, it came up and no network. I skipped that to wireless, which worked. Skipped app setup (just wanted to see the rom desktop and setup options). Very nice looking! Yes, not fully functional yet call-wise. I did have to restart after wiping dalvic and cache, as your instructions suggested might be necessary, to get my mobile network connection (TMobile). The SIM card was not seen, yet a connection to the network exists. (I've seen that with other Oreo roms here as well.) This looks to be a very good rom. I look forward to your progress!

Odd. I don't own Dumpling - Cheeseburger here - so o can't say for 1000% sure but I checked with my users on TG and three of them who do own Dumpling confirmed it is working. Not sure what the issue is but I don't believe it's the ROM based on reports.. guessing you flashed another kernel, or a mod or GApps issue
Working fine here, but I'm using Kronic Kernel btw
I have Blue Spark Recovery, everything wakes and get error 7 when I want to bottle the ROM

Actually no, I cleaned flashed without any mods and didn't change from krieg 2.4. I did notice, however, that the voltage is correct when charging but the notification says charging rapidly instead of dash charging, so it appears that dash is working but without displaying dash charging.
Does this rom support signature spoofing?

I think for that you'd wanna turn it to SmartBar - you don't need to really change anything from a stock navbar setup other than swapping the keys you desire if ya don't wish too. Only way I know to do that

That's certainly odd, but also much less concerning if it's working properly. Cosmetic issues don't matter so much to me as when things are truly not working. Not too sure how to try to replicate this one though to nail it down...

Thanks for your answer but as far as I remember SmartBar is not be compatible with AOSP gesture for Swipe up on Home button.

NFC itself works though, I'm able to read and write transportation NFC card via its official app.

This was happening to me with the very last "unshishufied" build provided by you and same is happening now with latest official build.
Prior to bootleggers I was on 8th march lineageos and GPay worked just fine for me.

It's very sad to hear that your FM is not working on Brazllian Model. Though I will be looking on that in Next update but I will be needing a brazllian tester for that. As only someone from Brazil can only tell me if it will be working or not ,if I will be provide them the test builds.

yes Volte working Fine. As I can't confim about the Radio. Some users did reported that.But no worries as it will be fixed in new Update.

It's in the Smart Lock section. Settings< Security and location < Smart Lock.
Nope that option is absent in my phone . I searched it in the smart lock but its not

Try a different gapps package.
For ex, if you used open gapps pico there wont be a face unlock option but I think nano+ is supposed to have it.

So let it be clear that I'm no developer, I just managed to build this rom with materials provided by our excellent Devs. I love Bootlegger and want to keep it relevant in hope that someone with real dev knowledge will take it over and maintain it for our device now that Q is just around the corner.
