I want install miui 10 on honor 10. This possible, and how do this?
Nope.... Not possible.
Unfortunately there is no way to do this. The only way to get rid of EMUI is to flash a custom ROM, which is impossible without an unlocked bootloader.

I'm trying to to get Google camera to work on miui without root or unlocked bootloader. I heard it's possible on the mi a1, but is it possible for this device as well?

Did you read mi A1 process of it? Probably not that's why you are saying this.. so let me tell you .. that process is done by unlocking and relocking boot loader and which is easy in mi a1 cause they can directly unlock/relock bootloader by just fastboot command. But Redmi note 3 need permission from Xiaomi. Mi A1 get monthly OTA and it's stock android so people want to stay on it so they don't want to loose OTA updates. Hence that method has been there so that people can stay upgraded with ota and camera2 API remains enable. So mostly it's not possible with rn3 I guess without doing unlocking / relocking bootloader..

Thanks for the explaining this. Would it technically work if I unlocked my bootloader, rooted and enable camera2 api and then unroot and relock bootloader?

I don't think that possible on rn3 cause relocking is different than mi A1... We have to use mi flash tool to relock device while mi a1 only fastboot command needed... Not sure though.. but afaik it's not possible but I think you can still flash OTA through twrp ( means you should do unlocking ) and stay as unlocked... You can even have different custom roms better than miui.. if still fan of miui then stay as it is...

Yeah, I've already tried most of the custom roms for rn3 and I came back to miui after a long time ro see if it's worth it. Anyway, thanks for the help
I apologize if I ask something very basic, but I have not used MIUI for a long time ... If I install a custom MIUI 10 ROM like Globe ROM, Epic Rom or EU, will I be able to return without problems to AOSP ROMS? I read that xiaomi blocked the rollbacks ... For root, Magisk 17? Xposed works fine?
Last question, which one of those ROMS do you recommend?
Thank you very much.
For roll-back, AFAIK, there is not arb implemented in Redmi note 4,so yes you can go back to aosp's and can root via magisk also.
Search anti-roll back nd follow the procedure
Hello everyone,
I just unlocked by bootloader but I have a few questions before proceeding. I've been using my Mi 8 Lite (global) with MIUI 10.3 and it's actually a very nice OS. My thought was to install the MIUI from xiaomi.eu or mi-globe to rid of the bloat. Do you guys recommend keeping what I have and somehow removing the bloat or should I just do a clean install of MIUI without the bloat? Another question is, should I use the rom from xiaomi.eu or mi-globe or does it really matter where? Lastly, by unlocking bootloader and installing TWRP, does that slow down my phone? Also, do I have to install Magisk and if I do, does that slow down my phone?
Thank you to whom will take the time to help!
One more question, can someone link the the most up to date TWRP for Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite please?
Also, are ROMs from xiaomi.eu and mi-globe.com safe?

I have used both for years. Mi globe is a modified version of xiaomi.eu with more features.
Would rooting and flashing a rom on my Curtana device preclude me from being able to upgrade to the MIUI 12 upgrade that is romoured to be released in September? Could there be an advantage to waiting for MIUI 12 before rooting and flashing? Perhaps in a future software update they fix an ongoing bug, or something? I'm familiar with rooting/flashing, but just wanted to make sure I wasn't potentially kneecapping my device before I root/flash. Thanks!

There's no inherent disadvantage to flashing/rooting before or even after the release of MIUI 12 (after, users will start waiting for Android 11 - and round goes the cycle). I would say that the decision to flash would rely on how you like MIUI 11. If you absolutely despise it then you can try a custom rom, if not then you could stay on MIUI. Nevertheless, you can always return to MIUI at any time by flashing the recovery stock rom or the fastboot one. I hope this answers your question. Have a nice day

After you unlock the bootloader and install custom Recovery you can Root/Flash any ROM you want. It won't stop you from getting MIUI 12 Update in your phone. After MIUI 12 Stable version is released you can simply flash it like flashing other ROMs and boom you will be in MIUI 12. Also there are MIUI 12 Ports for Curtana if you want to try MIUI 12 now but Ports won't have much stability so decide yourselves
- Thanks btw

Thanks, I believe I was overthinking it a bit. It makes sense that I could always reflash MIUI 12 or a ROM based off of it at a later date. Do either of you happen to know which method of rooting is the go-to as of now for Curtana?
Just do it! (root & flash)
You just use Magisk to root. SuperSU is obsolete.

1. Unlock bootloader
2. Flash custom recovery (LRTWRP seems to be most stable)
3. Flash magisk zip from recovery

Hey guys,
I have a stock P20 Lite (ANE-LX1) with EMUI 9.1.0.
Today i wanted to try a custom rom, but i was greeted with a locked BootLoader i think (check the image)
What are the possible options going from here?
Thank you!
Downgraded to EMUI 8 (C432) as many guides recommend it.
Cant find a way to unlock BootLoader tho...
Wanted a custom ROM but got stuck at the very first step, thanks huawei
Successfully unlocked the BootLoader on P9 Lite with PotatoNV. Got TWRP installed.
Will try this on P20 Lite soon, will see if it works.
-update-
Yes it does! Both phones BL unlocked and TWRP installed. So happy
