First off you're going to have to go back to stock everything, with the modified recovery you won't be able to flash ota.

Ok as the in the title I have a Nabi2 that is running twrp 2.2.2.1 is OS 4.0.4 kernel 3.1.10-000298 a while back I followed a video to root this device
and put the play store on the device. It worked great and I have been able to down load many games and apps i couldn't before but.. Now there are
a few OTA updates that won't work that I would like to update to. If any one knows and can
explain step by step how to remove twrp and get this device back to stock so the OTA updates will take I would be very appreciative this is the first
device that I have rooted so please spare no small detail. I have tried going into twrp and hit restore and then tried to apply the package
"stockunrooted" but it didn't work. The update I am trying to upgrade to is the v2.1.

Why 2.1 and not the latest? This is the best method to get to the latest software. Pic the link for US or UK depending on where you are.

The updates come in order I have to get to the Nabi V2.1 to get to the next one, and this is a US version.
I have my T-Mobile LG V-10 rooted with Sir-Altus rom currently.
Without starting a fight or anything, I am trying to find out how I could go about restoring my phone to stock to be able to accept the Marshmellow update successfully without bricking my phone.
I understand that there is a difficulty in rooting Marshmellow and I am OK with that.
Can anyone link to a step-by-step on how to restore my phone to fully stock so I can accept the Marshmellow update and apply it?
Thank you,
Whiteice

Should be pretty straight-forward. Also as an FYI, you now CAN root you LG V10 starting from 6.0 (Marshmallow) stock. So there's really not much risk involved. I think the upgrade from 5.1.1 to 6.0 relocks your bootloader so...i don't think you have to do much. If you have an upgrade option in your settings on the phone you can take it or you can go to the LG website and download the software and follow the steps. http://www.lg.com/us/support/mobile-software-updates
Can I accept the update on the phone rooted and with TWRP installed?
"I wouldn't do it by just downloading the update and installing it through the ui", you'll probably get stuck in a boot loop on the lg logo boot screen! Try researching kdz or tot flashing! Youll then only have to click a few times on your PC and after that the file should just upgrade the phone through your USB hub
You can uodate using Eliminater74's Rom.
Flash Part 1 - Dont Reboot
Flash Part 2 - Dont Reboot
Flash Super SU
*in Eliminater74s Rom OP it says to use Fastboot again to OEM unlock. Just read it thoroughly*
Hi, my bootloader unlocked with twrp installed lgv30 keeps complaining about a system update, but each time i choose install it just reboots into twrp.
I presume the install process needs the stock recovery for something? I'm unsure how to proceed, and it will not even let me turn off the notifications!
Correct, OTA updates cannot be applied via TWRP and require stock recovery. Fact is, you don't want to apply the OTA, because it will break the OS anyway, so don't do that.
If you want the update, since these phones are old, chances are there is a TWRP version of the update already... and/or a KDZ. Either of those can be used as well. KDZ will wipe the phone, but TWRP can be "dirty flashed" over what you already have.
In order for anyone to help further, you'd have to tell us what you have to begin with.
As for disabling the notification, you can disable the updater app to stop this from popping up at all. This is detailed in many places as well.., and, again, requires us to know what you're running now.
Thanks for the info, mine is a Stock H930DS using the lastest stock Android 9 for Australia.
I'm not that fussed about the update itself, which I believe to be a minor security patch. Disabling the updater would be great.
I have the unlocked bootloader and TWRP installed, but not magisk, I imagine I could install that again via TWRP, but wanted to get back to as original as possible.
I was trying to install a custom rom and was not aware that you can only unlock the bootloader by paying, which is fine but I can't afford it at the moment but by then I downgraded my rom.
I returned to version 9 on my phone OS and was hoping to get updates afterwards through official updates as I was restoring back to stock but I made a mistake and downloaded and installed ANE-LGRP2-OVS 9.1.0.200 which was not the correct one.
I have tried a few roms, copied to SD card in the dload folder but no matter what I try it keeps failing. No matter what I try downgrades and upgrades won't work anymore.
It seems similar to this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/downgrade-ane-lx3-ane-lgrp2-ovs-pie-to-oreo.3944399/
Everything does seem to work fine on my phone except the update system and google pay is not happy and not enabling contactless (which I use all the time)
Is there anything I can do to fix my dumbness
How does the dload method fail? Or is it successful in installing a different firmware yet the official update service is still broken?
Have you tried the forced dload method and did a factory reset/wipe data immediately after installation in recovery?

for several reasons .
In this specific case it is due to installing the wrong FW (ANE-LGRP2-OVS ). With this build number it is impossible to install another full stock FW or update system via OTA.
I totally forget to mention on here that I solved it. I managed to get hold of a version 8 stock rom and installed it to the SD card, then it was happy to update itself from there all the way up to current version.
I don't know why it worked at that point as I'm pretty sure I tried that same thing several times before but sometimes there are things I cannot explain, it just randomly worked all of a sudden
Hi. I had rooted a galaxy s10 lite, android 11 of a friend of mine. He doesn't need root any more. If i go to settings and search for an official update, it gives me, "phone is running an unofficial firmware and can't be updated" or something like this. Phone is running official firmware but rooted actually.
So if i factory reset from settings I'll obviously loose root. Phone will boot i suppose, if nothing have changed resentlly. Will update then works? He doesn't have a PC. Or because bootloader will be unlocked, will still make update not working?
Thanks,

hello colleague
First of all, back up your information.
You will have to restore the s10 lite with the system from odin.
the bootloader will still be unlocked (if you previously unlocked it)
once restored from odin, you will be able to install updates over wifi.
you can try
restoring from system, but I'm not sure if it will work.
if it has twrp.
If you decide to restore from system and it works for you, you can share your experience, for future reference.
having the bootloader unlocked does not affect ota updates
Thanks.. Yes i know how to do it in odin. That's what i want to pass as I'll probably factory reset his phone without a pc to a coffee shop for example.. When I'll do it, ill post, although i think i won't do it very soon.
