Does the EIS work on 1080p 60fps on the new 10.3.4.0 update?
*edit: im talking about the stock camera and not unlocked
So far. Nope
You can never stabilize 60 fps videos with the camera app but you can actually record a 4k or 1080 60 fps video and then stabilize it with Google photos afterwards. There is 0 difference with the eis from the camera app and the stabilization from the Google photos app. However the Google photos app may take quite some time to stabilize it which is the downside
How does Google photos stabilize the video's? Where can i find it?
When you play a video in google photos, there is a button in the middle with 3 lines, pres that and you'll see stabilize.

Bro you are fvcking life saver i didint there is stabilize in photos app!! Thank you sooo much!
MI A2 with SD660 does support 1080p 60fps EIS with stock camera itself.
Why Poco is not able to record 1080p 60fps with EIS from stock camera can anyone use media profiles from MI A2 for 1080p 60fps EIS.
I used MI A2 and sold it and bought Poco F1 but disappointed after knowing that i cant stabilize 60fps video in camera app
I tried to stabilize in Google photos app also but the video is horrible , There is a jelly effect in the entire video it is not at all stabilizing.

You can actually stabilize a video in 60fps . If you have any doubts plz find MI A2 1080p 60fps EIS samples in YouTube, It is natively supported.
I used MI A2 and stabilization is excellent in 1080p 60fps also

Yeah. And Poco F1 has much better camera e CPU.
Why doesn't Poco F1 already have at least 1080p 60fps EIS videos? Please, devs!

All,
Has there been any dev development mod for shooting video in 60fps mode. The G5 is lacking 60fps mode in 720p, 1080p which is locked in at 30fps. Since the G3, G4, V10 can all now shoot and record video in 60fps it would be nice to have this on the G5.
Once root is working this mod will come soon after
Sent from my LG-H850 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Well root is already working just fine if u have an H850...
Has anyone gotten the 60fps video recording to work? I heard the G4 camera app APK can enable 60fps working. I hope someone tries that out.
If you just need 60fps, you can either use Fluence patch, or install V10 apk, or install the mod that just adds 60fps to the stock camera:

I read somewhere here that you can record 4k with open camera the resolution of the video is 3264 x 1836 which is 4k but youtube does not show 4k option.
The video recorded with opencamera looks way better than the stock Samsung video recording .So is smasung playing tricks with us?
New video this time 100mbs bitrate
How did you do it? I don't know how I have to configure the Opencamera's app to record in 4K.
Thank you very much!

You enable camera2 API and you change the resolution to highest and you can also change the video/audio bitrate you can experiment yourself .But Don't know if there is a difference between 1080p high bitrate vs 4k high bitrate to be honest haven't test it
wtf 4k video?
is 120 fps 1080p or 60 fps 1080p possible? btw I'm on a7 2017 but that shouldn't make much of a difference
Today I tried to convert a 4K movie with HDR to watch it on my Mate 10 Pro.
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to recognize HDR
The sample video Huawei provides looks amazing.
But how will I be able to enjoy any other HDR video?
Btw, Youtube HDR videos work.

I just moved to my device some 4k files with hdr downloaded from the net like LG and Samsung ads and all work great with HDR in the main video app.
How does YouTube videos work while YouTube does not yet support Huawei HDR as they did with Samsung?

Just look for iYTBP for HDR support here on XDA
BTW, I found the problem with the video files.
After re-encoding the HDR metadata was gone.
So there wasn't anything for my Mate to recognize
So I was trying Open Camera and testing various frame rates and resolutions but I found out something interesting. I turned on 4K resolution of front camera video and tried it. It somehow worked. I looked at the resolution of the video via Google Photos and it showed me resolution 2160x4096. Is this a bug or it is just FHD video somehow converted into 4k? Thanks.
thats amazing 4k
i have used open camera before, and this is real 4k , it look amazing when i watch on the laptop

I hate when xiaomi doesnt enable it in miui camera.
It's a bit weird that the Xperia 1 III supports 4k 120fps through Cinema Pro but only 4k 24fps in the camera app.
Sometimes, I don't have the time to setup Cinema Pro and just want to quickly record something, is there a way to enable 4k 60fps in the main app? I have a rooted device if one solution requires it.
I'm coming from a Samsung Galaxy Note 9, and there was an app called Camera Mod that allowed to tweak some settings of the stock camera app. Can something similar be developed for the Xperia 1 III?
Also, and that's a lot less important, it possible to record native 120fps files (either 4k or 1080p). By that I mean a video file with a frame rate of 120fps (not slowed down to 60 or 30fps). This phone have a 120Hz display so I would like to record and playback at that refresh rate if possible, without any slowmo, just 120fps recording and play back.
Thank you very much.
