Low volume
Im also facing the same issue is there any way to fix to this issue

Not Loud Enough
To me it's strange that the test versions of sounds are loud enough but the execution versions are dull. I use Timely as my alarm clock. I set the sounds (several different ones) and they are loud... but when the alarm goes off it's barely audible.
Anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this?
EDIT: I have discovered that some APPs brought over from the old phone will not be loud.. But if I uninstall/clean install the same app it will sound correctly.. So far this has worked on Timely and Business Calendar, not not on some others... More as I Know More

[Q] No timer sound (UPDATE: it's something related to System sound)...please help

I use the countdown timer built in to the SGS2 stock rom quite a bit. It has always played the selected sound whenever I've used it, but today the sound stopped working when the timer reached 00h 00m 00s.
I can select the alert sound from the menu and it will play the test sound when selected, but when used on the actual timer it's silent no matter which sound I select.
I'm on Orange UK with stock rom kernel build XWKF3, baseband version XXKE7...only just flashed via the official Kies update in the past week.
Apart from that (and the Social Hub force close problem) everything else works fine.
Anyone got any ideas about how I can get the sound back on my timer?
UPDATE: After a bit more digging, the problem seems to be 'system sound'. If I go to Menu/Settings/Sound/Volume I get the 4 default sliders for Incoming Call, Media, System and Notification volumes. Adjusting the Call, Media or Notification volumes via their own sliders results in a preview of the volume. However, when adjusting the System volume I get no sound whatsoever.
Again, as far as I can tell, all other sounds (including Alarm) appear to work fine.
UPDATE 2: The problem seems to be solely related to the timer. After more testing, all other sounds appear to work...Keypad tones, Alarm, Music, Game sounds, Video sounds...everything execept the timer alert sound...it's driving me mad!
Any suggestions on how to fix?
Thanks again,
Rich

having the same problem; have you found a solution?
i'm rooted and have disabled camera sound as described here (method 1); but it seems to be unrelated..
I have the same problem too.. It is driving me crazy for searching this solution. Looks like not a lot of people have this problem.
I need the timer sound !! Grr...

Kn0cker or simonskling....
Did you ever find a solution? My timer is still silent even after a further firmware update the problem remains the same as my original post, so I'm still searching for a solution. But as you say Simon, it doesn't look like many people have this problem. Either that or they do have the same problem but just don't use the timer.
I'm tearing out what little hair I have!!
Just downloaded 'Volume Ace Free' from Android Market for reasons entirely unrelated to the timer sound problem I was still having. Decided to test a few 'sound' apps after playing about with Volume Ace...and guess what? My timer sound is working again...lol.
Don't ask me what setting I changed though (but I suspect it's something to do with Systems sounds).
Hope this helps anyone else who has been suffering with the same problem.

I am having the same problem and its driving me crazy?
Any luck?
LE: I also installed "Volume Ace Free" and noticed that the Alarm volume was set to 0. After I changed there, the timer sound appeared. Crazy!!!!

[Q] Low In-call "Notifications/Alerts" Volume?

Greetings All,
This is different from the regular low in-call volume complaints, my in-call volume is loud and clear. The problem is in the in-call notifications/alerts volume, for example when I receive SMS or a WhatsApp message or a call waiting, I do not hear anything at all, and if I'm in a very quiet place I might hear a very low sound of these notifications/alerts. when I hang up, I find the missed alerts in the notifications bar.
I tried everything. Checking the sound settings, revising the installed apps, replacing the SecPhone apk, changing the kernel, wiping and starting over, even trying a different ROM for my Note 3 N900. Nothing works, and I've been missing very important work waiting-calls because of that for over a month now.
Any ideas?

Anybody?
Anyone please?
After nearly 2 months, I found out - with trial and error - that my low call waiting beep problem was a ROM-Kernel combination issue, which is very weird and doesn't make any sense, but now I've changed them, and everything is fine again.
This post is for anybody who might face the same problem, hope it comes in handy.

Help | Losing sound from apps and phone calls

I'm using Cosmic OS on my mido. 2 days ago, it auto turned on "do not disturb" mode whenever I have a phone call, therefore I can't hear anything without putting my phone on loudspeaker. Moreover, sound from all apps such as Youtube and games have gone away although I set my phone at max volume for every action but I can still make video chat with friends on fb messenger and notification sound and ringtone are still working. Please help me to solve these problems. Thank you.

Sound quality problem?

Hi.
I recently bought a Xiaomi Mi 10 and before using it I went through updates (so I cannot say how it was before).
I have noticed that when reproducing an audio or voice note in apps like WhatsApp or Telegram, the sound is very low and sometimes it reproduces them well and then bad and so on. It also happens in games, where a MI 9T with just one speaker is louder than mine. I have noticed too that it happens when increasing the general volume. At 60% you can hear the bass and amazing sound but if you increase it, the quality goes down and you hear too much treble.
I have been reading that I'm not the only one with this problem (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/speakerphone-loudness-clarity.4049087/), but I wanted to know if this is a common mistake or just some units.
Thanks!

Yes seem like guys are more interested in modding but ignore daily usage real problem. I confirm this problem and I ask you if you have big problem using proximity sensor when you call or want to ear vocal WhatsApp message without speaker. For me have a really bad setup

Totally agree. People is more concerned about ROMs and custom recovery than daily usage.
I have experienced that sometimes in calls I cannot make the sensor turn off the screen. Or in WhatsApp sometimes it goes crazy, but not frequently.
I read that you can solve that problem going to the dial and using the code *#*#6484#*#*. Then go to proximity sensor (23), cover it to check it goes from 0 to 5 and press ok and exit.
Hope you can solve it.

Question Popping/crackling sound during calls on multiple apps [SOLVED]

Every couple of minutes I am getting a loud pop/crack sound during normal calls and the same behaviour on Whatsapp and Viber calls.
I tried both on speaker and without and the result is the same. I am running all the latest updates. The adaptive sound is disabled.
Also tried Stealth Audio Player to hear both the external and internal speaker on Youtube videos and I can't reproduce it except sometimes it pops when a video is started. I also tried recording my mic and it sounds clear without this popping.
Is there anything else I can try to fix or debug this issue? It sounds like it is trying to record or adapt the sound while on call even if the adaptive is off.

This kinda sounds like the problem I had, but ALLLLL the way back to my Pixel 2 XL!
If you're rooted, you can try what worked for me below -- although, I'm not up to date with Viper4Android (V4A) and I believe it's either EOL or is in the process of being updated to work in x64 architecture or there are newer updated branches or something... But if it's possible to lower the frequencies, you might luck out like I did on the taimen...
I Found a Speaker Distortion Fix
Like many, my phone has the lower speaker distortion on speaker phone calls and general audio, like YouTube, when turned up high. If you are rooted, I have found a solution to all situations except speaker phone calls. I installed Viper4android...

Thanks for the help. I can hardly hear any issues while on youtube. There is noticeable pop when videos ending or starting. Some people are reporting motherboard issues with Pixel 7 leading to similar problems. I am trying to find if it is a hardware or software issue.
After further investigation it looks like interference. If I disable the mobile data and WIFI it seems to be a lot better. After 16 minutes call it was a very faint pop if at all. Does it sound like it needs a motherboard replacement or a future patch might fix it. Update: still happening regardless of connectivity on both the inner and outer speaker. I am going to RMA for motherboard replacement.
