Hi,
after installing official OTA update "MIUI 10 Global 8.10.25 Beta" (this update was suspended for my smartphone, but I got it) my hardware buttons lights are always on. Even when the screen is off. I can't find any options in the settings how to turn them off. Today I got another update "MIUI 10 Global 8.11.1 Beta", but the problem still exists. Need your help.

I think, they removed this option in this suspended OTA update and that's why the backlight is always on.

Go to stable version. May be they removed in beta.
Hi All
Just got it delivered now.
First impressions - Not so snappy UI Coming from custom OS on previous phone, so it will take some time to get used to.
Disappointed with Selfie cam. Back cam looks good. Very initial impressions though.
Software version is A.16 out of the box.
1) I checked for update but it shows this is already the latest version. Does it takes time to get the update on new phones?
Will I get incremental updates to A.17, then 18 and so on or directly the latest one?
2) Generic tweaks to debloat Color os - Hot apps, hot games, music app etc. Please suggest or link me to correct thread?
3) Any settings tweaks to make the UI more snappy and and debloat further.
No plans to use custom os for new months initially. Will eventually move to custom os if color os 7 also disappoints.
Go to realme community and download realme 3 pro latest software update. It comes with dark mode
Ota update will not come?
Shall I directly upgrade to A.20 or incrementally?
How is battery life and standby drain on A.20?

Haven't unlocked bootloader. That's why I am asking. Does it takes time to get OTA updates? Using the phone for 2 days now. Running on A.16. still no update.
Anyone facing front camera portrait not working after unlock bootloader. I flashed stock ROM again , relocked bootloader but still not working
I recently bought Mi note 10 lite and its on miui 11 right now. Since I won't be able to roll back the firmware I wanted to ask which one should I use to update. Should I update to lates official rom from ota? Is there any complaints about the updates?

If it can be reversed, at least I did it from Android 11 (miui 12.1.1), I was in global miui 12.0.3 and also tried miui eu, however I ended up going back to the factory ROM.
The best ROM for the mi note 10 Lite is miui 11.0.8 in performance and battery.

This can be concluded as 'Do not update.'
The main concern now is about the old security patch, which may risk the data in the device from hacking. An alternative attempt to fix security problems is to install trusty ( I mean famous and good rated) antimalware app(s), which may take a little bit of storage and use a little bit of battery.
AOSP or debloated roms can be also nice battery-wise and speed-wise, but there are stability concerns, bugs and can also affect security.

The issue of security is relative in the devices because it will depend on the type of use you give it, personally I still do not think there is a stable and secure ROM better than Miui 11.0.8 (at the moment).
As I discussed earlier, I have tested all the official ROMs on this device and none will be better in fluidity and battery management than the factory ROM.
We'll see what happens to miui 12.5, but for now I'm staying where I am.

You are absolutely right, it is better to wait a few months while we see how the official and custom ROMs evolve because at the moment there is nothing stable.
Greetings.

It may be worth mentioning that it is rumored that MIUI 12.5 is fluid but battery is still kind of, bad. The MIUI 12.5 is still in alpha state (China devloper version) though, hope that the battery drain is fixed in the final stable build.
We might need to wait for MIUI 13 and probably battery life will get better...

Unfortunately, because of warranty concerns, I don't want to unlock BL. This breaks the warranty. Hence I dont have chance roll back.
Right now my rom is 11.0.4 and I found a problem where I am not able to use slow motion recording. Camera just stops responding.

Hello friend ..
I found the performance and battery problems in the global versions 12.0.3 and 12.1.1, in the same way in the custom ROM of miui.eu 12.0.3.
I understand that Xiaomi does not remove the warranty for unlocking the bootloader, but still, I think you can try updating to the version of miui 11.0.8 because it runs very smoothly for me and is the best.
Regards.

Por supuesto
Link: https://xiaomifirmware.com/download/15842/
Download the Zip and move it to the downloaded_rom folder.
Then go to settings, About the Phone, then update system and on the miui 11 logo, touch several times to activate the advanced installation options.
Go to the 3 points on the top right and select package to update. Select the package saved in the downloaded_rom folder.
The download link is from miui 11.0.8 global, if you need the miui EEA tell me.

Although Xiaomi does ot care about BL, distributor in my country does. So in my case I wont unlock until warranty time is over.
Looks like the CN rom for the 6R finally got the Android 12 update. Who knows when the heck global is gonna get it. For the 6 and 6 pro the global rom didn't get android 12 until 9 months after the china rom lol. So I was wondering who wants to be the scapegoat and test it out for me? I can drop the link of the CN rom if you want. I specifically want to know how performance(most important) and optimization of the rom is with heavy games like Genshin etc.
Hello, just updated to CN Android 12 from global. But I cannot really state anything as I had just bought the device and went straight for the update. Although coming from global A11 I can definitely say that it contains loads of bloatware specific to CN and have many apps utilizing nubia services but again are specific to CN. In relation to gaming performance I found it not lacking at all since I'm coming from SD845. But will test Apex tonight and put in my findings. Also, the Nubia keyboard sucks. It as annoying as it can be because of weird CN shortcuts mapped and the keyboard is way too slow in response unlike Gboard.
Regards,

Hello, can i get the link for the CN Version from Android 12 for the red Magic 6r . I want to Test this Version and will give you a feedback. At the Moment , my red magic 6r is unusable for Gaming since i have installed the latest official global rom v1.24, beceause the Touch Delay was high and the Touch screen does not detect small movements. I had also sent the phone to the service but they did not soved the problem.

I have found the Website to Download the latest CN Firmware Update. Now the Touch screen bug is solved and i can use the phone for Gaming again . Also the Google playstore was further available
Google apps are not available in CN for obvious reasons and are required to be downloaded separately but is fairly easy.

I know, but before i installed the CN Rom, a global rom with Google apps was installed. After the Update, the playstore and Google Apps was further available in CN Rom . I had make a factory reset, After that, the Google Apps are lost.
Its also possible to use the CN Rom v6.10 to make a downgrade. Before i installed the CN rom, the global rom v1.24 was installed. I tried before to make a downgrade from v1.24 to v1.17 but it was not possible. But its possible to downgrade from CN Rom to global V1.17
Reason: the global v1.24 has massive Touchscreen Probleme (he does not detect small movements)
Sorry for my english

Yeah I tried the CN rom once on a previous update months ago and I also had those same issues. I didn't like how many Chinese crapware was installed without a way to remove them and I absolutely hated the keyboard. What is it called Sugoi keyboard or whatever. After a ton of fiddling around I was able to get it to be in a QWERTY layout but I just gave up on it and installed Gboard. I'm thinking of moving to CN again just for the android 12 update but only if it gives a decent performance boost. Hence why I made the thread. Looking forward to your finding on the performance though

Good to hear. Back when I tried the CN rom way back, I also factory reset which removed google apps(since CN doesn't use google stuff) but I just found an apk for the playstore and all the other google apps I needed and it worked no problem. Are you still on the CN Rom 6.10 or did you downgrade back to a global rom? Can you tell me the gaming performance on the CN Rom. I'm curious if the android 12 and all those other game space improvements they did boosted performance.

I think the Performance is the same like Android 11. The phone gets hot on Android 11 and also on CN Android 12. I Play pubg at 90fps. On global v 1.17 i get a light throttling After 60 minutes of Gaming . On CN V6.10 (Android 12) i had not played this Long time, beceause my Focus was at the touchscreen reaction. But i think the phone throttles also on CN Android 12, beceause the phone gets very hot during gaming and without a fan it will destroy itself. The Gaming Center looks a Little bit different, but i have not invested enough time. Sorry At the moment i‘m back on global v1.17, beceause in my opinion the touchscreen works best on this version.
I use this phone also only for gaming, like a Gameboy. To make calls or write messages, i use a other phone. So I can nothing to tell about the battery life on CN Android 12.

Tried Apex Legends on full settings and turned every feature on. The game went pretty smooth with no FPS drops at all. But I just played like 2 matches and the phone wasn't hot as well. The charger was connected with powermode set as "Rise" and "Charge Separation" enabled. Had fun btw. Also, there's this new mascot which wasn't there before and looks kinda annoying instead of intriguing. The phone sometimes locks itself just after I've unlocked it with Fingerprint and needs to be unlocked again. Also, I had to manually adjust all Google apps notification settings and some other apps too because they won't share any notifications on lock screen. Disabled all the CN gunk or uninstalled if available. Gamespace has lots of good features and I admire all of them, don't know if they were present in the Global rom. And finally strangely I'm not able to delete or copy files to the Android folder. Which wasn't an issue on any of my previous unrooted phones.
Anyone here tried to root there phones? Or unlock there bootloader? Thank you

Got a Poco M4 Pro 4G about a week ago, after initial set up stock rom updated to 13.0.1 (SKEEUXM). I see there are newer versions but several days later no update is available?
I am desperately looking to update or even downgrade due to a poor light sensor performance - in low ambient light and with auto brightness enabled the screen gets way too dark (sensor goes to 0 lux, when in reality it is not that dark). In a well lit environment it works adequately. Someone mentioned in another forum that after updating, they got rid of the issue.
That (V13.0.1.0.SKEEUXM) is currently the most up-to-date Android 12 firmware for the EEA. I think you could switch back to Android 11 (and a more recent firmware update) manually by unlocking the bootloader and flashing a fastboot package, but it's pretty hands on. Otherwise all you can do is wait for Xiaomi to update their A12 firmware.
Thanks mate, that means my updater is working fine then. I am tempted to go down to android 11 and a more recent firmware really, the sensor is acting terribly on the current one but it's still blind hope that would resolve it.
