Hello,my s9+ exynos seems to drain a lot of battery. When i go to apps, show system apps and pick a system apps it shows that it has drained like 40% of my battery but its not only an app becuase when i click at for some specific apps i choose it doenst show their name but it says android system.
So this apps are part of android system and their draining battery. How can i fix this?
I was thinking of downgrading to a April security patch but can i do that?
You can downgrade to a lower security patch as long as you don't flash the newest firmware via odin. I've done that a few times with succes. You can also consider downgrading to Android 8. Just download the latest firmware from sammobile and flash it via odin.

Hi All,
Ive currently got a Samsung A300-F A300FXXU1AOAB (South Africa)
Kies does not pick up the software update, and when i go the actual software update it does nothin,
for some reason my device status shows custom but my phone was never rooted, im assuming this is why it refuses to update.
Ive tried to burn google about this firmware version, but no luck, so we've managed to update another A300FXXU1AOAB to lolipop and Ive found the correct update for this firmware is A300FXCU1BOEC :good:
So if you're like me and forced to used odin, I hope I have helped you.
Off-topic
I have issues like insane battery drainage, device shows charging when the flash light is on, the phone doesnt always charge when powered on, i assumed its the cable or usb port but the phone charges fine and fast when its off. Phone gets very hot!
I will provide feedback if lolipop has resolved these issues once Ive done testing.
Update
Ok after further digging , it appears my Rom Status was on "CUSTOM" cause i downloaded an app to make the bootup silent,
if your rom status is on custom, the device will not allow u to update,
Its not confirmed but i believe this was the problem.
DO NOT ROOT
Do not root with "CF-Auto-Root-a3lte-a3ltexx-sma300f"
It will work for a day or 2 then it gives u an error, Seandroid not enforcing, tap here to reboot...
u tap it, and the phone wont boot up.
This has happened now twice... You will have to wipe data, and then reload 4.4.4 then update.
Conclusion
Battery life has doubled,
whatsapp doesnt give me backing up messages on powersave anymore...
5.0.2 is very stable, the OS just operates more smooth,
The A3 is a very pleasing phone on Lolipop. on Kitkat it feels like a knockoff flagship phone.
The only issue i have with Lolipop, that when u on wifi, it sometimes forget to reinforce mobile data, u have to reboot.
Hope this helps someone out there
In the previous post you said that there was an insane battery drainage! Now battery life has doubled..what was the problem?? I'll want to pass to lollipop, but many users said that kitkat is really better than lollipop about battery life

Many users said that but for me Lollipop works perfect
Maybe it is because my A3 is sm-a300fu and it has 1.5 gb ram but others have 1gb
I have a VF-895N (rooted and stock rom - update 130FFN2), yesterday I decided to update my phone from 5.0.2 120FFN2 to 5.0.2 130FFN2, I removed root and made a hard reset, started the update process but at the very end of the update, it said "error", then I got stuck into a bootloop " no command" but managed myself to re-flash stock rom already updated with the latest version. When it finished flashing, I booted up the phone, started to remove bloatware, rooted the phone and started to install apps like Facebook, Instagram and other stuff like that.
I finished installing all the apps I wanted but I noticed my battery was draining very fast and also my phone was overheating, I tried to open Instagram for the first time but it freezed, tried the same with Facebook, it freezed.
Overall the phone's performance was very bad comparing with the one I had before re-flashing.
Now I don't know what to do, some apps close or freeze, the phone does not overheat much now bcuz I installed setcpu and set the values to min.=240mhz and max.=980mhz tho I don't understand much of these things... (Initially the values were 1.020mhz of min. And 1.020mhz of max.
I did hard reset 3 times and I always got the same result and I also cleaned the cache too.
I can't downgrade bcuz there is no stock rom available anywhere except for a flash tool (Sugar QCT) that flashes the latest update, which I already have and seems to be broken.
Please help me.
Hey guys,
since 2-3 weeks i'm using the 6.0.1 official version which i got via OTA update (everything original on my phone, no root, no flashing any software) for my international S6 Edge.
First i noted havy battery drain and uninstalled a few apps. A weather widge forced the heacy battery drain and my phone worked fine.
Since 4 Days i have problems with random reboots. It started with some reboots a day and now it keeps rebooting after i unlocked sim card and want to use my phone. I managed to put my phone in flight mode and i were able to make a backup of my userdata via samsung smartswitch. I initialized the phone via the software and it flashed the newest version. After it finished it booted up and in the language selection screen it keeps rebooting.
I read about corrupted files due update from version 5.x to 6.0.1 and thought to wipe the phone and flash newest software via smartswitch would fix the problem but my phone is not usable anymore.
Maybe you have any advice for me?
Thanks for your further help!
greets
Bastian
Hi borth87
As it won't get worst, I suggest to flash a clean Stock version.
From SamMobile find the latest firmware for your device model.
After, for the download, I suggest you to use:
[TOOL] SamFirm - Samsung firmware downloader & checker
Just provide Model+Region and it will find you the newer firmware available. Please, before download, check the boxes: CRC32 & Decrypt
Flash the above using the lastest Odin v3.11.1
- Open Odin
- Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
- Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
- Add the firmware file downloaed to AP / PDA
- Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
- Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes
Let us know your path.
Nice regards.

Thanks for the reply.
Will the flashing via odin touch the knox warranty?
greets,
Bastian
Hi B
No. Just flashing Sammobile firmwares via ODIN will NOT trip knox.
Have fun.

I got back my phone from repair. They switched Mainboard and some minor parts.

Hi.
I has the same problem. I tried to flash all of firmwares (always STOCK), but it's failed with ODIN all times. Samsung Smart Switch PC software say system repair succesfull (with emergency update repair), but the problem keep joke with me.
Phone don't repond without charger. With PC connection, i don't allow to run restore mode, only ODIN mode. With Wall charger adapter, i allow to run restore mode, odin mode, safe system mode, normal system, but i wiped cache, i do factory reset, i rebooted in bootloader and rebooted system as normal. When i run system in normal mode, language selection show up, and when i press next, phone reboot. When i run system in safe mode, i can select my language, and i can connect to my WiFi, but after i press NEXT at wifi list, phone reboot.
So in safe mode i able to do more one step, but system keep rebooting. Charging screen show battery at 89-90% all times, system start updating battery status from 1% to 100% (1 percent/ 1.5 sec).
Some times red-green-blue-purple rows show at Samsung logo and i got bootloop. Like when i put off my battery from my old phone.
I unrooted my phone but after that battery drain fast
and i checked battery usage and found that display and Android os media server stay wake and high battery drain please i need solution without rooting again i need official firmware
this is not official firmware, but it does work. i recommend you get the latest cyanogenmod out for your device. it's built with extra tweaks to maximize performance and save battery. or you could flash battery saving mods. either way you'll need custom recovery
Your other option would be to root and use xposed framework and get modules to save battery. and for rooting you will generally need a custom recovery, or you could use apps like kingroot, i think kingoroot works better than kingroot for samsung devices.
also turn your brightness down.
