Good afternoon, greetings from Argentina.
My query is the following, with which tool could I perform the flashing process to install a firmware on my Nokia 7.1?
Another thing you need to know if it is that to install a recent version it is necessary to have the bootloader or that is only for donwgrade to another version of android?
I am expecting your answers, thanks

Hello I just purchased my hero yesterday and this one was deliveried with android 1.5...
I would like to update with the latest firmware wich I think is the 1.6 and software ?
Can you please explain me or redirect me to the right information...
Step by step would be nice...
thanks for your help
There is no "official" 1.6 (Donut) for Hero at present, and what is available unofficially is not functionally complete.
There are various 1.5 (Cupcake) ROMs kicking about all based on the 2.73 build. Search the Hero ROM development thread for more details.

Dave

updating from htc directly depends on whether you have a branded version of the hero or not.
Best thing for you to do would first of all,
1) root your phone
2) install a custom rom based on the 2.7 update
search for ' how to root...' and then search for custom modaco roms.
basically all the tools u need would be just sdk , recovery image and the drivers for ur phone ( which is included when u installed the htc sync)
For me I don't have a branded phone, but how to be sure of it ?
is it necessary to install a custom version ? can't I install an original 2.7 update ?
thx

you can install the original 2.73
somehow, if you are not being able to uograde because of identification problems.... just root your phone, and go to modaco site. paul provided us with custom roms but as well as original roms ready to be applied through zip formats.

Hi all,
i am currently on official Mango release 7720 and lost my dev-unlock when upgrading.
Now i want to flash a custom ROM to get my dev-unlock/interop unlock back.
My bootloader version is 4.5.2250.1.
I read that i should not use HSPL/RSPL or i will brick my device. I need to flash a Nodo ROM first to get my bootloader to 3.xx.
Is this correct? If so, how can i flash to Nodo ROM when i can't use HSPL/RSPL? Do i need a full backup of my phone when it was on Nodo or is there another way?
Any help appreciated.
Regards,
UP

Well you are on 5.x and this is afaik different from 4.x - i think it is possible to downgrade from 4.x but not from 5.x
Maybe someone can confirm and help me on this 4.x issue. I won't upgrade my phone to 5.x loader ;-)
Noone has any info on that? I wonder how it can be possible that ppl are creating so many roms... doesn't anyone use them?
Maybe i should ask in a rom release thread cause noone is reading here :-(
Hi everyone,
Just got a Nokia Lumia 800 and I am not able to find the Nokia collection tab in the Marketplace.
I already have the Nokia drive (1.0) app installed, but can't seem to update it either. The marketplace finds the update, but says this app is not available on your phone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Try to create new LIVE account and set it to your country. You should see the Nokia collection.
Or you can allways refurbish your phone to another firmrware and see if that changes anything. You can find tutorial here for example:

Might be a silly question..but still,
Will this reset my OS to the version that is bundled with the firmware?
You will choose what firmware version you want to flash.
You can downgrade, upgrade (if newer firmware is available) or just reflash the same version. Look at the tutorial, you will understand it.
You will loose all the data in phone, so backup what you need first.
I was talking about the Mango OS. Does the firmware package include the OS updates as well?
Sorry, my bad.
Phone's firmware do not include OS updates. Changing firmware won't change OS version in your phone.
My stock 5x is acting up, i think a custom rom might help me get a few more months out of it, but i'm having trouble getting started.
My European (Polish) KIW-L21 5X is running official kiw-l21c432b370 firmware with unlocked bootloader, TWRP and it's rooted, but i can't find any reliable guide with working links to help me downgrade my OS version to one before the VoLTE update so i can start installing custom ROMs, now that the files have been removed from the Huawei website.
Can anyone help me with the downgrade? I'm gonna need a firmware package for my phone and a few instructions on how to apply it, if you need any more info i'm happy to provide.
Huge thanks in advance!
Sorry for the stupid title, but I do not know how to describe it: D
I have a problem. I have the Mate 10 Pro version 9.1.0.306 (C432E4R1P11) with patcher recovery_ramdisk.
Now I get an update for a custom version of my provider for some time, 1AND1.DE 9.0.0.2 (CT.F02)
So I send by Fastboot the original recovery on Smartphone, install the provider patch, check again under software update -> super everything installed! ... so far so good, but if I now install the patched recovery, the smartphone tells me again I should install the provider version.
where is the problem now? does the provider version install a new recovery? if so, how do i get it to patch? or am I doing anything wrong ...
Is it possible to dump the firmware from the phone?
Thank you for your attention
and sorry for the possibly bad translation. google is to blame
Nobody?
