You could flash all versions of the RamKernel's if you have a bootloop, but i reccomend RamKernel v5 is the best with all N7 port roms.
I will ask for a link to RamKernel v5
installed , but only black screen is there .in N915G .

Yes Dr. Ketan's tweaks doesnt support for xda free users, the tweaks are only for pro users, but If you want the tweaks, you could donation or use another rom, which is as same as Dr. Ketan's rom. Base is the same and has much more functionality tweaks in there (also It has Ketan's Rom Control). Just give a try. You will not regret it. I used it for a month maybe and was still smooth and battery friendly. Also it support voLTE if you are user of it. Moreover, Sidd realeased the v7, but it is buggy am waiting for the v8 Here is the link for the Enhaned Rom v6 by Sidd. Of course do a clean install

So, I flashed the ROM you mentioned, the first try with the ram kernel didn't work, but at the second attempt I used the Emotion kernel
and this was a success, I found all the settings and now I need time to play with them
There are no problems so far, except for the Always On Display bug I had in all the other Note 7 ports...
I haven't really bothered to look for a fix in recent time... (is there one?)
BTW, is there a threat for this ROM, I haven't found any... yet...

Hmm, bootloop problem. Which Kernel did you flash? Did you come from other MM rom. You must have the MM Modem and bL. If not Flash official 6.0.1 MM Rom via odin then repeat your steps. If your previous rom MM try this Kernels one of them must work:
Emotion Kernel r26 N7_Ported: https://mega.nz/#!Kdh11CrJ!l6PDPaE23...n_D-ArRC1gB9fs
or
RamKernel v5: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=139411

Is the only benefit to have magisk modules on stock rom? I have XT1806 rooted TWRP r9 Gladius Magisk 14.3 flashed this kernel but kept booting straight to recovery...had to do a full restore. I'm looking for custom kernels that provide speed and power benefits. Thanks

Just a note on kernels
I've tested many many kernels on many devices. When they are configured the same, performance/battery is about the same. Any difference was slight enough to be considered noise in the test methods. I always suggest to learn about kernel parameters then tweak it to the way you want. Any kernel will give more performance, or battery life, or anything between - all depends on how you configure it.
Ps - same device, same twrp, supersu instead of magisc, no problems. Except seems not compatible with ex kernel manager - it doesn't apply settings. I believe it doesn't set proper permissions to be able to write. But hey, it's young and a stockish kernel, hope to see more.

Here's a link to GeneticEngineer's AFH-hosted original kernel from the TWRP thread. I don't think he'll mind it being reposted in this thread. This should tide people over until you can iron out the bugs in your build.

A stock based kernel isn't gonna play well with custom ROMs, unless your secondary ROM is a stock ROM? I plan on creating one for cm-14.1+ based ROMs too.

Since there is no official thread, we can discuss about it here. I flashed Mokee rom nightly and so far it feels good. Added 2 fingerprints and it works pretty good, better than Havoc and Pixel Rom. Also the phone doesnt reboot when connecting to PC with USB.

Hello xda,
im having this annoying issue of the primary camera not working on any of the custom roms. i tried alot of custom roms still and it wasnt working in anyone of them. Don't know what issue is this. camera doesnt work in any type of camera operation related apps. I always follow the full clean rom flash instructions provided by the respective developers.
Please help me with the solutions.
when you say it doesn't work? what do u mean? the app is crashing ? or app works but all you see is black window? please explain?
remember even on custom rom , gcam crashes sometimes!

5. UltimateQ_v1
What ROM do you use?

Infinity ROM
However, when Ultimate Q S20 gets updated to port 7, I will move back to it.
I like roms that balance functions with debloating
Roms like Zrom are heavily debloated and are very smooth
Infinity rom is debloated and smooth
S20 port is slightly debloated and smooth. Every Samsung function works on S20 port. Link to PC, SmartSwitchBackUp, Samsung Cloud Restore, Project to PC screen, game plugins, Battery Statistics in DeviceHealthCare etc,Galaxy store etc. These functions are usually not on the other roms. Adding them from apkmirror or apkpure does not work. They simply refuse to function correctly once added even to the root folders.

Or try out Infinity Rom. No hiccups so far apart from the camera that can be fixed by replacing 2 files and rebooting the phone.

I haven't used stock for ages
@physwizz Neither have I but rebasing your preferred ROM over the top of a later stock ROM gives you a later modem, bootloader etc. that may have some improved qualities....... or not. All the partition updates you don't get from custom ROMs.....
So I am asking if anyone has updated to A205YNDVU5BTG1 and found anything good, bad or indifferent? Certainly the modem needs a helping hand to get better reception quality / range....
