I tried this rom on my Mi5x and it seemed very laggy for me, I don't know why =/
Worked out why mine was going laggy and experiencing random reboots, this rom faces the same issues many other have with a modem file causing issues , I couldn't work out how to flash the correct modem so went back to the original pixel experience rom

ive tried it different light situations, the screen always has the same brightness.
turn off the auto feature to see the difference.

Same here too! Auto-brightness doesnt seem to be working for me. NODO rom but guess its a bug huh?
I've confirmed this behavior on two tabs, one running 3.1 base and the other running 3.1 ux.
In apps like tapatalk or the amazon.com for android app, when i scroll through a list of items or topics the display brightness dims until the scrolling movement stops and the brightness returns to normal.
The difference isn't huge, but it's definitely clearly visible on both units I've tested and pretty distracting.
I tested with brightness set at auto and set at a fixed level and it happens either way.
I found a way to resolve this..
I found an option under Settings - Screen - Auto adjust screen power which is enabled by default (even if brightness is not at auto).
If I disable this, the brightness fluctuation stops.
Just thought I'd share..

My auto brightness turns itself off.. dunno if my finger touches the box.. but gets annoying for sure.. buggy for sure
if you have the Samsung auto app installed.. remove it..it has a bug that deactivate the auto brightness
its a well known bug ,i hope it will be fixed,mine is off but the phone acts like its on
If you have adaptive color selected, it will do that. The only reason I keep adaptive color on is it allows the brightness to go over the "max" brightness the slider allows.

The Auto Brightness works well during day time.
It is observed that in low light or total darkness it suddenly becomes zero.
After a couple of screen off/on the Auto brightness works in low light.
Anybody facing this problem??

Reboot device or calibrate proximity sensor in phone manager once. Check update and stay updated.
The phone manager has all tests but there is no calibration option.
Did the sensory test and the test result are good.
But the issue is still there , the brightness does not increase in dark/low light
The phone is updated with latest patches.

Me too experiencing the same thing, I just tried auto brightness off. Seems like a poor calibration.
