Hello,
I am a kind-of-advanced Android user. I know my way well around the os, but i'm not a programmer of any kind.
I recently bought a fairly cheap Yarvik tab (TAB264) running ICS 4.0.3. with a USB host and so far it has nothing else than impressed me !
What i'm trying to do is connect a game controller via USB to play games in emulators. I have a authentic PS3 controller with usb cable and an Xbox controller for the PC, with a USB dingle for wireless connection to the pc / tablet. I do not have bluetooth on my device, but i do have a bluetooth dongle. However, this is not plug and play. If i plug in a keyboard, mouse of mass storage device the tablet will recognise it. With a bluetooth stick this is not the case. I have seen serveral video's where people just plug in their xbox controller and it works, they only have to map the keys in to emulator and they are good to go. In my case, as with the bluetooth dongle, it is like its not recognised.
Is there a way to download drivers for either one controllers, universal controller support or the bluetooth stick ?
in short:
- Can i use the PS3 controller via usb ?
- Can i use to Xbox controlle via usb ?
- Can i install drivers for the bluetooth stick so i can use the ps3 controller wireless (whis would be awesome since bluetooth would be nice)
I hope for a fast response thanks in advance !

I read somewhere that XDA has a special developed driver in case the XboX controller doens't work. I searched the forum, but i cant find it.
Link, andybody ?
Anybody, options, please ?
Really, no one ?
Hello Guys!
I hope somebody can help me with this problem.
I want to use my xbox360 wireless controller with my Honor 7, but after I've updated to the newest B170 firmware, I don't get any recognition in games.
On B140 I was able to control the UI with my controller, but now nothing happens. I think they forgot to implement the support for xbox controllers...
Is anybody out there who can try to use his/her xbox wireless controller?
And is there any way to inform Honor about this bug?
I would not like to see this bug in marshmallow too...
best wishes

I used my USB-OTG cable to connect my phone with the xbox 360 usb receiver.
It's the same device I plug into my pc to play games with my wireless controller
Hey, I have an answer to this,
1. You need an app called USB/BT JoyCenter Free. Download the apk somewhere online. I'm using version 3.0100
2. Plug in your XBOX360 wireless to your phone using the USB OTG adapter.
3. Open the app, inside, top left, switch the IME to ON and choose the USBJoyFreeIME as your input methods
4. In the app, click on SEARCH NORM and it will start scanning for the controller. When it scans just click on the box that appears. Your controller should connect to your phone now.
Apps that are suitable would be emulators, I normally use this method for PPSSPP emulator. Hope this helps
Hello Folks,
I was curious to know if anyone has ever tried the Amazon Fire TV game controller with the Shield tablet.
A few posts confirmed that it works fine with the Shield TV, but I found none about the tablet.
Would all the controls work seamlessly ? Voice search too?
Also, the original Shield controller can act as a mouse controller on the Shield with the right stick, would this feature also work with the Fire TV controller ?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Mat.
i ve own the first fire controller, its working fine... better than my ipega
voice i dont know, but mouse works also fine...
If you're talking about the newer model (Wi-Fi Direct) version of the Amazon controller, it can be made to work in a roundabout way. You'll need root and some kind of local terminal program or ADB.
Basically, you can use the stock "accessories" app to try to pair it, and the controller will start working for a while, then the app will say there was a problem communicating and disconnect the pad again, not completing the pairing.
My workaround is to kill the pairing app while the controller is working. You'll need to do it in the background, since even opening the settings app will make the controller disconnect right away.
The process name you're trying to kill will be "com.nvidia.blakepairing". Ignore the quotes.
If you're on an ADB shell you can do it from your PC as soon as you can move the mouse pointer around with the joystick (become root first with su)
Code:
killall com.nvidia.blakepairing
If you're doing it from a terminal emulator, you should have it wait for about 25-35 seconds to give you time to get it running beforehand. Use this:
Code:
su
(sleep 30; killall com.nvidia.blakepairing)&
You'll also need to go to Developer Options and "disable USB audio routing", because otherwise you won't have any sound come out - it seems like it tries to play sound through the 3.5mm jack on the gamepad, but the volume is zero (faint hissing whenever a sound should play). When it does that, neither the speakers or the headphone jack that's on the tablet work at all.
Wouldn't an xbox/ps controller work better? I use an xbox360 controller via usb otg and seems to work really well for most things.
PS4 controller connects with this phone through bluetooth but whenever i press a button nothing happens. i tried otg way by enabling otg in settings this phone just charges the controller pls someone tell me how to connect ps4 controller properly i want to play some emulator games (ppsspp, dolphin) and pubg with controller.
+1
Did you find a way ?
