Got stuck in Aroma File Manager - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys,
I was trying to use AROMA file manager to delete a folder but somehow got stuck. The touchscreen and hard keys don't work anymore and I can only look at my phone screen. What should I do in this case?
Thank you very much.

[Q] How to modify a system file?

Hi there,
I upgraded my Galaxy 551 to Gingerbread 2.3.6. All went well. Unfortunately it seems to be a common side effect that the Z and Y keys (and some others) get swapped. The fix is apparently to modify the file /system/usr/keychars/sec_keypad.kcm.bin. The ideal thing is to put the old file from before the FW update back in, but of course I don't have that anymore! But the existing one can apparently be altered. If I can copy it to the SD card I can alter it in a hex editor and put it back.
So, I rooted my phone with that one click application, and that went OK too. I installed root explorer and found the file. There were also some others in the same folder I may be able to use. But, I cant make the folder R/W (pressing the button does nothing) so cant do anything with the file. I also tried Super Manager with no luck.
I am new to the phone fiddling stuff so noob level instructions would be appreciated!
Think I have it sorted. I installed superuser and then Root Explorer allowed me to select read/write. Now to try sort out this file!
OK, seems that you need to edit the file /system/usr/keylayout/sec_keypad.kl. Did that. DO'H now my keyboard doesn't work at all! Glad it saved a backup for me! Not sure what I did wrong, only edited two characters in a text file! Even the power button doesn't work. Got to pull that battery out LOL!
It seems when the file was saved it was saved with zero size. When I try to delete it to replace it with the backup it says cant delete, read only. So, not sure how I am meant to replace this and fix this problem.
Any ideas, remembering that I cant actually use any buttons on the phone!

Do you have a recovery flashed? Normaly under "Advanced" there is a File Manager with which you can rename the build.prop.bak to build.prop again.
Otherwise you can always flash another ROM.

nope, the last chance to get things working, was to flash the official image from the sd card...

[solved] help me recover my tablet z

*edit* The problem was solved, I found a spare copy. Sorry for the attention.
Hey,
I soft bricked my tablet by installing Xposed framework without applying a remount-reboot fix. That corrupted my /system/bin/app_process file and it looks like the tab rebooted before it was able to sync the app_process.orig to card.
Can anyone send me their app_process file please?
Thanks a lot!
*edit* I have the 311, but I think it would work with any version.

[Q] Is there any way I can access root files on my soft bricked device?

Hey guys, I've looked around a bit and cannot seem to find an answer to this question. I was fiddling around with my sound volume file on my lg g3 trying to raise the max volume and I believe I saved that root file back to the deivce with either the wrong extension or wrong file name. I am now stuck on the verizon loading screen when I boot, is there any way I can go and just change the file back to what it should be because I saved a backup of the files I altered before I changed them. Thank you in advanced.

Are you just rooted? Or had you unlocked and installed TWRP prior to your incident? If the latter, TWRP has a file manager built into it that you might be able to use to manually restore your backed up file. Outside of that I'm not sure.
