Ok, I got my poco today and wanted to quickly unlock bootloader. But I didnt knew miUnlock have 72h period (hello There , last unlocked my mi5 2,5 years ago). My question: If i had this 72h alert can i still unlock it today with Miflash?
EDIT: Ok i figured out IT doesnt matters because i still can't pass it
No, you can't. You need to wait again for the 72 hours to pass. But you need to add the account anyway and connect the phone once to the Mi Unlock tool so you will get the 72 hours "active".

If you are using the same account as before (when you unlocked the Mi5), it may be possible to skip the wait. Some people have reported so.

Doesn't work anymore. I'm a Miui Device Team member, and the unlock is automatically granted for us, and we still waited 72 hours on POCO.
EDIT: For every other Xiaomi phone that works fine. No need to wait to be able to unlock. If you had already unlocked your phones before, just add the accounts to the new phones and it works without waiting.

I got permission through sms in 3 days..
but I tried everyday unlock process, and I can confirm that after 7 days ( today) , i got 100% success in unlocking bootloader.
Got permission after 2 days, unlocked the same day. It didn't work with global stable, so I switched to global developer, and that worked instantly.
7 days, unlocked officially .
I was on the verge of unlocking by unofficial method ....
I kindda installed the MIFlash software and the drivers that come along with it (Now my windows 8 shows a Test Mode message on the bottom right ) and it unlocked successfully...officially..
So, I can't say whether it was the time per say OR the installation of Drivers that unlocked my device. However, i would really suggest installing MiFlash to get the Xiaomi drivers if the software is stuck at 50% error...Cheers!
Got permission in 3 days , Unlocked after a week.
Permission sms in 2 days , unlocked right away succesfully.
3 days till the message arrived, but I applied on wrong account, so it took me some time to take the account back and unlock.

My case less than ten days without any confirmation sms, and I went to unlock officially with success.

Hi people, I had applied long ago for this. Confirmation sms came just the next day, but process always stuck at 50% progress (A/C logged in to device is different than A/C in MiUnlock Tool, it says.)
I have tried, as advised by many, in Global Stable, Global Dev and even tried China Dev today. (Still nothing.) Please suggest how to unlock, as the official unlock never worked for me as well.

Maybe you should login your verified account into your device before entering fastboot for unlocking.

I never received an e-mail or sms. Three or four days after I applied for permissions I just open the Mi Unlock program and I had permissions.

Right. I'd like to mod the phone. Really, I don't like a phone being stock. There're lots of thing rooted phone could do. Sometimes it's good to change the appearance of a phone.
I should just try it.

Yo, doesn't matter you still have the message or not.
You got the permissions and it's failing to unlock bootloader every time you try, right?
DL fly VPN from Playstore and run the app, choose shanghai server and go to additional settings > ki unlock status > you'll see an option like bound mi account, tap it and ignore if you get any errors.
Next, do no try everyday, just wait few days, like 5-7 days and try unlocking at the 5th day. Use latest unlock tool.
Every mi users who had unlocked their bootloader faced the same issue, heck even 21 days. I got mine unlocked after 10 days lol
So, do what I said and wait few days, you'll surely get your phone unlocked! :good:
Hey there everyone,
I own a Xiaomi Redmi 5A. Recently I wanted to install a custom ROM for which I have to unlock it's bootloader.
So, I got the permission to unlock the bootloader of my Redmi 5A from the admins of MI forums 3 days ago via text message. Now when I tried to plug my phone to my PC in fastboot mode to unlock through the official Mi unlock tool, I got an error message at 99% saying "current account is not bound to the device". When I googled it I found on the MIUI forums that we must wait atleast 3 days after getting the SMS confirmation in order to unlock (as the process of binding account to phone takes 3 days' time). Even after knowing that 3 days wait is a must, I got curious and tried everyday to unlock (during those 3 days) using the Mi unlock tool and each time I got the same error message "current account is not bound to the device" which was obvious. Now, today when I tried to unlock instead of getting the previous error message I got a new one telling that I have to wait 360 hours (i.e. 15 days) to unlock my device. So, I googled again and came to know that everyone has to wait for either 72 hrs or 360 hours including those 3 days. But, I wonder why I need to wait 360 hours but many other people get their work done in just 72 hours. Has it something to do with the device?, like mine is Redmi 5A, so I have to wait 360 hours but if another has some other Xiaomi device he has to wait 72 hours i.e. is the waiting time device specific? Or my wait time has increased as I had tried to unlock several times even after knowing that I must wait? If so, will my wait time further exceed 360 hours if I try unlocking everyday during these 360 hours?
I hope my query will be answered.
Thanks for help.

I think for that you must keep on trying to get the bootloader unlocked. I have a friend with Xiaomi device. He keeps on trying every day to get the bootloader unlocked.

you must be patient and wait for 360 hours to be completed.. then try again..i also got 360 hours and unlocked after the completion of 360 hours..please be patient.
After 72 hours required by the Xiaomi tool. It is still not possible to unlock the bootloader of my Pocophone F1. I'm with find device enabled, sync enabled, OEM unlock enabled, USB debugging enabled and Mi account connected. If anyone knows how to solve this problem, please tell me.
PS: My ROM is MIUI 10 Global Beta v8.12.7
That's weird. Have you tried unlocking when the 72 hours weren't over yet? Because if you try to it should show the amount of hours remaining. If it never showed that while trying to unlock within the 72h period it might be another problem. Maybe you can run the chinese text trough google translate, with a tool that converts an image to text (don't know of any but they probably exist).

Register your device phone number first from developer options. That might solve it.
In the new version of Mi Unlock says in English that I need to use my device for a few more days to be able to unlock the bootloader. But it does not say exactly how long, slowly I'm trying.

Try rebooting a few times. Add a fingerprint if you haven't already. Sync with Mi Cloud every time after you reboot. These things could add to your "usage score".

You are supposed to use the phone normally after making the request for bootloader unlock. Please also note that you should be logged into your mi account in your phone all the time. If you do that and also do a few syncs as suggested by another member, you are sure to get approved. There is no other way, you have to wait.

I reverted to my old phone after I made the unlock bootloader request and I was not logged in to my Mi account the whole time. I switched on the Poco about 2 weeks later and was able to unlock the bootloader with no problems. The trick for the OP is to not only register your email with your Mi account but also your phone number through settings.
I think that's what he is missing.

I'm pretty sure that's what he is missing. Solid advice.
If the above methods don't work, then just factory reset your device and repeat the steps! I'm sure it'll work
Had the same problem.
Unbounded my account and loged in again on the phone.
Now the tool works and i'm unlocked...
Try toggling off the OEM Unlock setting then toggle it on again.
I'm facing the same problem, I requested for unlock last weekend, tried yesterday to unlock (as well over the 72 hours) & was notified that I need to try again in 1 day. I also tried the various suggestions here, but nothing helped/worked.

If it is asking you to wait for a day? I suggest to wait for a day, bottomline is there is no alternate to it, as far as I saw, go step by step, shall wait and see, should work fine
Best to insert the sim card to poco phone and using it for there days after bootloader unlock applied.

Hello everyone.
Following is the list of events:
1. Got the China K20 Pro with China Rom.
2. Unlocked the bootloader the normal way.
3. Flashed Indian Rom but accidentally left "Clean and lock" checked.
4. Phone was not booting because it said "This version of MIUI cant be used etc".
5. Tried to recover with MIAssist .
6. Now phone says "System has been destroyed" .
Now when I try to unlock it again it Mi Unlock tool says ""Wait 30 days"
I just want to ask the community.
QUESTION : Will I be able to unlock this phone again after 30 days using the same account I used the first time?
DID MY ACCOUNT REMAIN BINDED TO THE PHONE AFTER THE UNLOCK?
I want to unlock it and flash it with Mi Flash tool.
Thank you for reading.

In theory you should be OK to unlock the phone, otherwise at this point, you would get that error now and not see the wait 30 days to unlock message.
However those people that have done the same as you and posted on here have used the test point method to boot into EDL mode and then flash via an authorised account. I'm not aware that anyway has had the patience to wait the 30 days to see if they can unlock.

I have exactly the same experience with your device last 2 months ago. I just got lucky because it was last days of the month 29th day. Tried to unlock again the on the 1st day of the the next month and unlocking bootloader was successful.
You can still unlock it using the same mi account.
Flashed again indian ROM thru fastboot but just choose clean all.

1. It was already binded with the mi account the first time i flashed it and experience bricked. No option to boot the system.

That message is just because you can only unlock one phone a month with a standard MIUI account.
Because you've already unlocked a phone this month you'll see that message for any phone you try and unlock before 1st November

If you flashed it and bricked it this October then By November try to unlock it again and hopefully unlocking will be successfull. Then flash again with your preferred rom.

Ok.. so this is what happened to me some days ago..

• Use "MiFlash tool pro" to flash firmware. (you don't need to go in EDL mode because it flashes from fastboot mode.)
Keep in mind do not select 'Clean and lock again' xD
