That's a known problem, though I never tried. There was a workaround for it somehow, but I'm not sure if it worked for our device. There are threads for this here somewhere...

Other apps on Play Store are kinda "clones", but they aren't really the same as the Google experience launcher (with Google Now on the first left screen)

[XPOSED] GNL APP HIDER
PIXEL LAUNCHER VERSION HERE -> Thread
This module is officially unsupported and won't be updated anymore.
Bored to see all this icons in the drawer? I was. But there is a solution! GNL App Hider, for hiding apps from the Google Now Launcher (GNL).
It simply work out of the box. After you activate it in XPosed you only have to choose the apps you want to hide. This is all! No reboot required to apply changes (PS. You need to kill the launcher or reboot when you install the module).
It is tested and compatible with Google Now Launcher 7.3+ (also know as GNL, Google, Now Launcher or whatever Google wants...)
Changelog:
Code:
1.1
- Free for everyone, only compatible with GNL Launcher. This version won't be updated anymore.
- PIXEL LAUNCHER VERSION HERE -> https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/pixel-mods-hide-apps-from-the-pixel-launcher-xposed.4288973/
1.0.4
- Fixed compatibility with Pixel Launcher 8.1.0, P, ODR
- Fixed compatibility with rootless Pixel Launcher (old version support dropped, there's no way to support old and new version at the same time because the developer give always the same version code number, if you want to prevent this in the future, please let the him know)
1.0.2
- Hotfix for apps reappearing after updating them
1.0.1
- Fixed app not removed after uninstalling
- Hopefully fixed app reappearing after update/install
- Adjusted Pixel Launcher compatibility
1.0
- Initial release
Doesnt work in lastest 8.1.0 pixel Launcher.
Thank you for the module

Hello Massi X,
Loved your module.
But latest Pixel Launcher needs it too. also will that module work in Modded version of latest Pixel Launcher?
If not please do that as well.

I tried it and it did not work at all. Previous versions of Google Launcher and Pixel Launcher works but not this one.
The link is given below..
Apparently this launcher is super popular now and works on any phone and not only pixel ones.
Maybe your app needs slight tweaking to support this app.
I highly Appreciate your work so Request you to help me.

Hello Massi-X,
I tried the beta version. And it opens perfectly fine.
I am using Xposed v88.2 on 7.0 Nougat.
I have latest GNL and Pixel Modded Launcher. But the app hiding feature isn't working on both.
Anything else I should do?
Other Xposed Modules are working fine.
