Bluetooth pause turn off screen? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I have my little project: old phone mounted as car headunit. It connects to my car stereo via bluetooth so I have media controls working on radio panel. Forward and back works fine but strangely pause button causes phone screen to turn off. How I can fix that? Phone is lenovo a820 with 4.4.4 custom rom, rooted and running xposed (only one module: gravity box).

How to make Work a estero headset/hadsfree + GPS navigation.

Hi, I'd like to show i could use my connection BTH to pair this gadgets.
Model: XDA II with WM5 AKA 3.5
BTH: MSBluetooth Stack
BTH devices: Zaapa h900 headset + Iogear GPS.
Soft: wmplayer + Tomtom 6
First pair the GPS with the GPS in the Bluetooth tools.
Assign a COM (anyone) form the GPS.
Now start TT and conect to the GPS
Preferences--GPs Status--Setup.
other GPS ----- Com assigned previously.
Done, you get it On.
Ok, now press the hangs off button (red button than close the phonecall) so you get again in today screen.
Now got to the bluetooth utils and pair the headset. Must be active both profiles (stereo headset and handsfree). Close that window.
Activate (hold tap on the device profile) then choose the wireless stereo.
Now you get both on. If you go back to TT you could see the GPS works. Also if you restart the GPs it gets paired again. If you get a phonecall the handsfree gets on and the GPS keeps working, the music goes off. Once the call is finished the music comes back (in case it doensn't just press "next song" button in the headset)
If you close the navigation application the link is lost and you have to start again.
I've seen the MSBTH Stack get in dedicated mode when a stereo headset is active.. So you can't use the BTH until the headset is switched off. But if any device is paired before the connections isn't lost.
Is there any fix to this bug?
Is possible to make to the MSStack to don't get in dedicated mode when an headset is On?
Regards.
PD:: the bluetooth tools doesn't work. Even it doesnt' detect when a stereo headset is working.

[Q] Condition setting

Hi,
Can someone help with condition setting.
I have a bluetooth media controller. Satchi Media Buttons http://www.satechi.net/index.php/satechi-bluetooth-button-series-media-button
It is connects to my phone via bluetooth as an external keyboard.
Is there a way of a setting a condition to only read input from the media buttons if 3.5mm jack is connected?
I occasionally leave my jack unconnected and press play on it and music starts blasting at work :victory: ..... bad times!!!
Can I do this via Tasker?

Lollipop 5.1.1 Bluetooth headset control

Sorry if this is not the right category, I have been looking to find one better suited to post this subject but couldn't find one.
As stated above, I'm having issues with controlling music from my Bluetooth headset. I've already done some troubleshooting but am currently at a loss and hope to find some help here.
Let me first describe the problem first:
When I connect my Bluetooth headset (Philips SHB7150) to my Xperia Z3 tablet compact I can not control my music. If I start playing music from the app, it plays fine through the headset but I don't have control. This used to work before, unfortunately I can't pinpoint when the issue started but it's possible it happened after upgrading from Lollipop 5.0.2 to 5.1.1.
Now on to my troubleshooting results:
- When I turn off the BT headset and turn it back on, it connects to the tablet without hassle but I have no music controls.
- When I turn off the tablet and turn it back on, it connects to the BT headset without hassle but I have no music controls.
- When I pair the headset again using NFC, it connects to the tablet and I have music control :good:
- When I turn off BT on the tablet and turn it back on it connects to the BT headset and I have music control :good:
- When I connect the BT headset to the tablet and go into BT settings, open the settings for the BT headset + uncheck 'media' + confirm + check 'media' + confirm and I have music control :good:
- When the tablet connects to BT in my car, it starts playing after the play command from the receiver. :good:
- In these last 4 cases, the solution is only good until next time the BT headset is turned off and connects again. Then there is no music control until I repeat one of those 4 steps.
Things I have tried:
- Use another application to play my music (stock Xperia music app, Google music, Rocket Player, Shuttle+, ... are all experiencing the same issue. So I don't think it is due to the music playing software
- Tried an application (headset button controller) to try and change the button behaviour but it does not receive the command from the headset (no beep)
- Connect my BT headset to another device (Sony Xperia S, MacBook Air) and it works fine (both after pairing and after turning BT headset off and on again)
- Factory reset my tablet using Sony Bridge for Mac -included wipe of internal data-, still the same issue.
- I tried to find some ADB command to reset everything BT, but all I could accomplish was using the command to start BT (due to lack of knowledge on ADB commands)
- I deleted all app data and cache for 'Bluetooth sharing' in application manager + restarted and connected again (no success)
- I re-paired the headset once more but this time without adding it as a smart-lock unlocking device but had no luck controlling music when I connected it again
To conclude:
The headset is working fine with other devices, I can't pinpoint if this is a software/hardware issue because it appears to be only for this BT headset/laptop combination and with all music software AND continues after factory reset...
Other BT devices (=car stereo, I don't have another BT headset to test with) are working fine to control music on my tablet
Restarting BT on the tablet or re-autoring the use of media in BT settings on the tablet permanently resolves the issue until the next time the headset is connected.
So it looks like either something hijacks my device as soon as it connects to the tablet OR the media-authorization gets revoked in the BT settings for that device. Perhaps I'm saying stupid things, but I'm really hoping that you, the more knowledgeable Android developer/enthousiast/... would be able to make more sense and to give me a hand in order to fix this issue.
I currently am dependent on my tablet for playing music during my daily train commutes since my beloved Xperia Z1 Compact is in for warranty repairs
ANY help would be appreciated !

bluetooth issues

looks like Xiaomi made a change in the BT module in MIUI 8 (and maybe in 7.5)
with 7.2.3 my device worked fine with the car's BT kit. and after upgrade, there are problems (the disconnect button in the car kit doesn't disconnect the call)
any idea what was changed in the BT module?
other ideas?
thanks

Bluetooth problem

i have problem with bluetooth when display is off
on my mate 20 pro i have connect ford sync and galaxy watch and everything works perfekt
but if display is off a i get out of range of bluetooth for 10-15 sec after i come back to phone they want sync until i power on display of phone and then after few second
everything is fine
also with my car system if i live car with radio on and move away out of range connection between car and phone can't not sync after i get back in car
i must turn off radio in car and turn it on after everthing work fine
please help
how can i put my mate 20 pro to sync all pair device when display is off
I'm not having that problem with my Bluetooth car stereo (which is a Sony) but it does take about 1 minute to sync every time. I usually play a song or start maps navigation and after about a minute sound comes through my car speakers instead of the phone speakers.
Are you giving your phone time to sync?
You might also want to check if there are firmware updates for your car system. For my car stereo firmware updates need to be downloaded with a computer and installed via USB drive--there are no automatic OTA updates.
Other Bluetooth devices do sync immediately. The car stereo is the only device that requires a little time to sync but it was the same with my P20 Pro and Mix 2S so I don't think it's anything specific to this phone.
If you delve into the settings for your car Bluetooth you might also find a Bluetooth autosync setting that can be switched on and off.
Bluetooth must always be visible & try "Bluetooth Auto Connect" app.. works for me!
