Hey guys. I've been in touch with Motorola about my bricked Moto G6, and they seem way too incompetent to simply provide me with a blank-flash file for my device. Allow me to begin by copy pasting the paragraph i typed to Motorola.
"Hi. I am in search of the Blank-flash file for the Moto G6 XT1925-6. Lenovo seems to be very bad at understanding what the blank-flash file actually is which is sad when you take into consideration that they developed the software for the device. Again, to clarify, it is the BLANK FLASH file for the device, not the ROM. I am not attempting to unlock the boot-loader as it has already been unlocked (motorola seems to think this is what i want to do as well and are refusing to support me in unlocking the boot-loader). I repeat, I am in search of the B L A N K F L A S H file for the moto G6 XT1925-6. If somebody out there could either extracty theirs from their device and send it over, or better yet, one of the bright minds over at Motorola who designed the device could graciously bless me with a small piece of their software so I can enjoy their phone again, that would be great. Please do respond as soon as possible. I have provided a blank-flash file as example so you don't get too confused, as well as the blank-flash folder I am using which will actually contain logs about the attempted flash of the blank flash file. I attempted to use the blank-flash file from Android PIE, as you can see it is labeled PPS and not OPS.
AGAIN, since this seems to be so difficult for motorola to understand, it is the blankflash file i am in search of, not the method to unlocking the boot-loader. Thank you."
The device is being detected in Windows 10 as a Qualcomm device which suggests it is still possible to flash it with a blank-flash file in order to reach fast-boot and re-flash the stock firmware.
NOPE see below
I have been searching for this little piece of software for over a week only to fine the blank-flash files for the G6 PLUS and PLAY versions, not just the mid-range G6 model. Below, as promised to be included, is the blankflash file i was attempting to use which does contain logs of the attempted flash. For ease's sake i have also provided a link to just the logs so you don't have to extract the rar.
Logs: NOPE see below
Blankflash file attempted to use: NOPE see below
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to search for this file. I'd love to start actually using the Moto g6 again rather than using it as a paperweight and relying on my Samsung J3 Orbit as a main driver. Sad.
EDIT: even SADDER, I have been prevented from providing crucial informational links aiding in resolving the issue due to XDA policy. If you would like these links, you're going to have to obtain them from me elsewhere (unless i circumvent the policy and post them in a broken link like suuuuch.)

I also need a blank flash file for moto G6. we can find the flash file of G6 play and plus but not mid-range Moto G6. It's not fair My phone was dead after OTA update and now it is a totally useless piece of ****. If we get that small blank flash file then we may bring our devices back to life. Please help us.:crying::crying:

No, still searching for a solution and yes the existing blank flash file gives us that error. So we need to wait for another working one.:crying:
Приветсвую привратники здравого смысла!
Hello dear happy owners of Moto G6 bricks.
Please, would you be so kind as to accept me into your team of elite owners of useless nutcrackers based on the Motorola Moto G6.
My XT1925-5 device was also hardbricked, after upgrading to Android 9.0 Pie and installing the latest security updates.
Also, when trying to flash the blankflash_PPS29.26 utility.bat receive
error: Sahara Download IO Error.
Email me if there are any positive results when getting a smartphone memory dump and creating a new blankflash for the latest OTA.
This is my contact email ([email protected]) if there are people willing to collaborate to write a new Blank Flash together.
I have to admit, when I joined XDA not long ago, I thought my easily bricked Moto G6 Play (Jeter) was a special case or that I was uniquely special when it comes to comatosing devices. Now, a few months and several more limping devices later, I see there truly is a seemingly growing mass of useless Motorola Moto owners out there. Whats worse is the Lenovo/Motorola Rescue Assistant wont rescue me because the Baseband and IMEI are erased on my device. Guess its time to take the next big step...invest in another G6 and see how long it is before I tater that one too!
Any news here, guys?

Alright, i have searched for months at this point. I have tried several potential fixes on this site and others. I have an LG Gpad 7.0 for sprint otherwise known as the LG LK430. After weeks of searching, i have obtained bother the TOT and KDZ files for this device. I'm not able to use the board-diag software due to not having the proper AP Chipset files, at least from what I'm able to understand. I have no bootloader or recovery as well as no system, but the device is able to be seen from the Qualcomm chipset. I can't use the LG software to fix it because the software isn't able to find the device, and won't let me select a port. I tried partitioning an sd card like one gentleman said in a post the DD the img files to each partition. I'm so lost and I don't want to give up on this. There has to be a way. Any advice would help. If anyone knows of a way to at least flash the bootloader back to it then that will get me the rest.... Ugh. Sadly I'm in a "please bro" state here.
Hello XDA Forums,
I have been a guest on the website for a while now when looking for android knowledge and I usually grasp a good amount of whatever I am trying to accomplish. However, the issue I am currently having I feel is considered IMPOSSIBLE to fix and I want to confirm that by this community.
Phone: Blu
Model: NEO XL N110U
Android build version: 6.0
Custom build version (It’s a stock a downloaded, ill explain in a sec)” BLU_N110U_V10_GENERIC_MARSHMALLOW 05-08-2016 16:30
What happened is that about a year ago or so I updated the android version from lollipop to marshmallow using the OTA update (which is the wireless update). Worst decision ever as I found out that this update gave me 4 specific viruses that sends my information over to a Chinese server. Here are links on the virus:
https://www.droid-life.com/2016/11/15/blu-security/
https://blog.malwarebytes.com/cybercrime/2016/11/mobile-menace-monday-adups-old-and-new/
https://android.gadgethacks.com/new...be-affected-by-adups-chinese-spyware-0175014/
With this problem, I thought “I can just root my device and delete the files… right”? I never rooted a device before, but I have jail broken iphones, modded psps, and ds so I felt like this would be easy……Turns out its impossible if you already updated to that wireless update with marshellow. I also tried unlocking bootloader and that failed super hard as well! Here is what I tried:
1. Tried Kingroot app – failed
2. Tried kingroot on pC – failed
3. Went into developer options and enabled usb debugging and oem unlocking to TRY and unlock the bootloader. – that part worked……HOWEVER
4. Went into the recovery and choice reboot to bootloader. Then connected my Blu phone to my PC, went into Command prompt and typed, “fastboot oem unlock” (I believe I had to download fastboot and adb tools first). – This was painful for me. It gave me the option to unlock the bootloader using the up and down volume buttons. I need to press “Volume up” on my phone to confirm the OEM unlock……..HOWEVER THAT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY DISABLED. The buttons work, but when I need to confirm the oem unlock, it doesn’t allow me to do this. THIS I BELIEVE HAS BEEN PURPOSELY DONE.
5. I downloaded a stock version of my phone’s rom but at a lower android number (5.1) and tried to flash it to the phone using SP Flash tools. – Failed. It would stay illuminated black and the intro sound would come on but I wouldn’t see anything. I looked into that and I believe that is because there is something called version binding where if I update the version build, I can’t downgrade to use the same exploit.
6. Since the phone was bricked, I wanted to try to bring it back to life by downloading the stock rom for my phone at the same virus build version I’m at now and flash it to the phone. – It worked with viruses and all.
7. I Then thought, “Can’t I use open the rom file and delete the viruses I want, then flash it to the phone?” So I tried that by using mtk extractor which allowed me to open the system.img file for the stock rom which contains the android data. From there I went into the apps folder and deleted the 4 virus apps. Then I packaged the system.img back together into one file and then used that system.img when I used sp flash tool to flash the rom onto the phone. – It was stuck on the logo……I can still access the recovery fine and still doesn’t allow me to oem unlock.
This is where I have given up. At this point, I feel like I would need to learn more about the system.img file and what it looks for in the beginning. I just want to fool it into booting without those apps. I know there is something stopping it from booting because when I go into the recovery part and select the option to do a “root integrity check” it tells me those specific apps are missing. Is there any way to change the root integrity check to not look for those apps?
So I know this a lot of information but I need to write this down for all the steps I toke. I hope that this thread can help anyone with a Blu Neo XL device come to some information. If I can confirm from this forum that there is nothing that can be done. I feel then a law suit with Blu is in order and everyone should throw out there compromised phones. I have seen numerous other posts on this subject and so far NO ONE HAS ANSWERED EVEN ONCE. One pore guy had to keep bumping his thread of months until he gave up; atleast tell me its not possible! Here are the link I saw on this from here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/tried-to-root-sort-blu-neo-xl-t3559702
Here are my main questions:
Is it possible to access the root (either via pc with command prompt or linux with terminal or even on the device itself) without rooting or unlocking the bootloader (since both seem to be impossible).
Can you extract a system.img file, modify it, then put it back to get together to flash it to a device without unlocking bootloader?
Infact can you modify any part of the rom or .imgs and flash it to spflash tools? (Or maybe I was doing wrong?)
Is there anyway to figure out how to modify the tamper bit if I have to find a way to get around the virus bug on my device that doesn’t allow me to use the “Volume up” button to confirm that I want to unlock the bootloader? (I’m not even sure if this phone has that, I just saw that for this oneplus and thought maybe it can be on all phones in a different way?) Here is a link on that-
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/development/mod-reset-unlock-tamper-bit-t2820912
The goal is get rid of the virus that sends my data back to Chinese servers. Also, the goal is to get an answer from the community here to put this to rest.
If you need any information on this or want me to upload anything please let me know.
Thank you for your time!
Bump as I need hope.
I understand people may not have this phone but I need some sort of reply to confirm that this isn't possible. I want this thread to be the first post anyone sees if they type in "Blu Neo XL" for rooting purposes.
Even if anyone that has a phone that is similar that is affected, that would be anyone who has:
R1 HD
Energy X Plus 2
Studio Touch
Advance 4.0 L2
Neo XL
Energy Diamond

Waited around for awhile but now its time be obnoxious. I will bump my other thread as well and just start hi-jacking other threads until mods ban me or someone answers me for once.

another day, another bump

Also, I got a Moto G5S Plus instead finally. It toke me awhile to save the money because I don't make much but atleast I have phone that isn't sending my data over to china.....or maybe it still is sending my data who knows where. Either way, Bump.
Hey man, I didnt read through your entire post. But can't you just downgrade the version to one that is possible to root?
Or you can also get another phone that does have root as an option. Also, I don't think you should bump your own threads. Just wait it out, or ask in other threads for help.
Edit: Oh Man, I didn't even notice someone responded to this! Awesome.
It says in the rules to ask here. So I decided to ask here espcially since this phone doesn't have its own dedicated forum. I got a new phone about a month ago and its pretty good so far.
This is more of a lost cause but I bring this up just in cause other people get affected. I believe the Blu company had to pay the Justice department for this so they got away with it and thats no big deal now of days. lol

Also for those of you out there suffering, the above statement is not possible because the newer versions of Android OS have "version binding" so downgrading to an OS that is lower that way you upgraded to wont allow the phone to get pass the bios or whatever the android bios recovery start name is. (I don't remember right now) Even if you mod the recovery or bios file.
So here it is almost a year later from you writing this post and I have found myself in the same predicament you were once in and was hoping there was answers somewhere, but from the looks of it I am guessing I'm better off just breaking this phone in half and getting myself a new, virus free, root-able phone. Am I correct?
Since there is a possibility to connect the Moto 360 2nd via USB, I bought myself a broken watch, opened the back and soldered the USB wires.
Fastboot recognized the Watch and since I am not that familiar with android flashing I thought unlocking the bootloader would be a good idea (don't ask me why - I don't know).
Now the watch is not booting normally, neither into recovery. But fastboot mode works so far...
I think I remembered that I saw a link to firmware files in the internet a few month ago and I am trying to find it for the last 2 days but no results yet.
Has someone an idea where I can find this files? I mean they are still providing updates for outdated Motos so the files should be online somewhere or am I wrong?
Or can I flash any watch recovery to my watch?
If someone wants a solderless USB possibility I may have an Idea btw but you still have to pull the plastic ring around the backside.
I think I forgot to mention that the plan is to downgrade my daily watch back to AW1.5 or 1.6
cheers
Hello,
I just found the OTA file (version: NXH19Q) for motorola 360 2nd gen on this reddit post.
I hope it works for you.
My motorola doesn't work properly either and its stuck on boot animation.
Hi,
thanks but actually I found this link myselfe and was unable to flash it because of the stock recovery.
I got rid of the bootloop by wiping data and cache two times after unlocking the bootloader.
Cheers
Rezoran
I'll try unlocking the bootloader, i've just made the usb cable.
Thanks
Hello,
I am trying too to downgrade my Moto 360 2nd gen (42mm) to AW 1.5 or 1.6. However, I have not found any "trusted" place to download the firmware images for those versions of Android Wear.
Also, in the reddit post mentioned by danger_tweaker, the author states that the firmware image can't be sideloaded to our devices...
I found this repository: [search on Google for "rootjunkysdl moto 360 2nd gen", I am not allowed to post links since I have just registered]
It contains some images labelled with the devices' codenames (I think that the 42mm version is "carp" and the 46mm is "smelt", I have no idea what the "bowfin" is), but I am not sure about how to proceed... I am afraid of bricking my watch.
In the meanwhile, have you made any progress?
Thank you
I'm might be in wrong place but im Looking for any info on g8 power lite variant of g8 power. UK unlocked regards retail. Looking like It is a oddball as I cannot find anything. I don't think there will be much support but if anybody knows if this similar enough to any other variant ?? Android pie out the box no update. Not even Moto app to enable one button navbar. Any help thanks
Hello
I just got the LATAM version of that same phone, and i can tell you that it's gonna take some time to get information, but it will appear in some time.
Indeed, this is the right place, but it seems to be that similar models have variants around the globe, and the Moto G8 Power Lite it's not a priority right now.
I'm waiting the same for my version (XT2055-2), but it's just a matter of patience.
Keep looking on the forum and eventually it will appear some information

Yea I thought as much, motorola seems to be putting out lots of versions of every device. This is by far the worst device I have had in recent memory, seems be missing quite a bit of the usual options available on other recent moto devices. I would have a go at bits myself but it also seems my version of this device has a Chinese bootloader installed, I don't think I will still have this device by the time any work is done I need to change phones quite often for work. Good luck.

The chinese bootloader is something common on Motorola, even i have the same thing. But i guess they gonna come up with something. As per today, the Brazil version of this smartphone started getting Android 10 (with some bugs tho) so i guess Motorola gonna start moving things in the coming weeks

Go to Settings > About Phone > Model & hardware
and it will show you the Model, Serial number and Model(SKU) of the device. Ithing what you are after is the SKU.
Tip: Under the title "Model & Hardware" you should see "Model: moto g8 power lite" in a gray(er) font.
{This may vary between models and versions}
Hope this helps.

It's not possible to unlock the bootloader on the G8 power lite, only the G8/G8 power.
It cannot be done using fastboot but it is certainly possible using the Realtek VCOM USB protocol
Rooting Moto G8 Power Lite
Does anyone know where I can find a decent guide to rooting the G8 Power Lite (if one exists - I know it's only been out a few months)? I've had a Google around and looked on this forum and on reddit but I can't find anything. I haven't done...

This video sums it up well
Essentially you need to:
1. download MTKCLIENT from github, works best on Linux IMHO but Windows works too - on Windows you need additional USB drivers and MTK Drivers, which i attached. Use PIP to install the requirements by going into the MTKCLIENT directory and typing into CMD/Terminal: python3 pip install -r requirements.txt
2. Copy the G8 power Lite specific script to the root folder of the MTKCLIENT
3. Open up the phone, remove the plastic covering the cameras and motherboard. Unplug the battery. Short these two pins either by soldering them together or just using something metal - this is only necessary during the flash and then should be removed.
View attachment 5889467
4. Plug in usb cable to the phone but dont connect it to the pc yet. Start the program either by CD-ing to the MTKCLIENT directory and running it via CLI (on Linux: python3 mtk w proinfo, seccfg proinfo.bin,seccfg.bin, If it wont unlock using the custom G8 script, just run this generic command: python mtk da seccfg unlock) or doubleclicking the desbloq_bootloader.bat on Windows. Then short the two pins, keep them shorted and connect the USB cable to the PC. You should see a bunch of code scroling, it will automatically close/end.
5. Unplug USB, remove short circuit from two pins, plug in battery, turn on phone, you should see lines of text during the boot like this:
View attachment 5889471
Bootloader unlocked. Now the only use is ROOT, no custom ROMs or Recoveries available as its vastly different from normal G8 power, which has a Snapdragon CPU and totally different screen. You'll also get a big "CARRIER INVALID" message on the home screen, so after you ROOT make sure to relock the bootloader using the same method but the command is python3 mtk da seccfg lock
I'm almost sure that what I got it's a - Moto g8 Power lite - XT2055-1
So I got the phone long ago and it's been mostly at home and used as a backup by some of my friends.. I can't even remember which person had it last time.
Thing is that I completely forgot about the Motorola protection and after factory reset it keeps on asking for the last used google account which I got no clue which one would be. To make things worst I have no way to find out the IMEI's so that I can use Motorola RSA.
It looks like to me that I can't enter BootRom mode and I can only access preloader mode even tho, I got access to recovery mode and meta mode. I have tried all the key combos I can imagine by now.
I have also tried sp flash tools but I'm getting an error when the process is starting.
I'll drop some more details soon.. thank you.

I did before as far as I recall but I gave up on it I think 'cus I ran into some issues as well.. I'm a bit rusty when it comes to this kind of stuff.. now that I'm reading all again about the tools etc I'm gonna give mtkclient a go and keep you all posted. Thank you again.
First off some questions please.. and I'm running win 11 pro.
What am I suppose to see on the screen when on Brom mode ? or how do I know that I'm on that mode.. obviously that if I'm not the operations just fail.
cant run mtk_gui atm for some reason trying to clear that out.. 'C:\Users\Q\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python311\Lib\site-packages\shiboken6\libshiboken does not exist'
Also tried bypass_utility_v1.4.2 using dif. key combos always returns 'device in preloader mode, trying to crash..'
mtkclient handshake returns failed 'Preloader - [LIB]: status: handshake failed, retrying..'
I'll keep on trying to understand all this just need my time.. all help appreciated.

for brom/preloader mode you will need to use the shorting method shown in the previously mentioned youtube video, not sure why you're trying mtk_gui and bypass_utility_v1.4.2 , what are you trying to achieve by using them?
Well reading from github where you get the mtkclient I thought that I could unlock the bootloader using the bypass_utility_v1.4.2 just like that.. guess ain't that easy and tbh after reading your previous words also thought that I could try using the mtkclient regardless being via the gui or the terminal.
I have seen some posts about the Brasilian fella and more shorting method but thought that by now wouldn't be needed anymore.. I did have my phone open before 'cause of that.. guess I'll have to have a look again.. my bad.
Thanks again.

you might be able to get into brom/preloader mode by holding volume down button while it is booting but shorting also brings the same result

care to share what you did so we can know?
I do care.. I also care the way some people talk to others behind screens.
Now if you read what I have just said on my previous post and the first post so to get what you/I'm dealing with you will realize that I was stuck on welcome screen, after soft reset, 'cus of FRP, once the last google account used was still active and I had no clue. Just use the search string on youtube that I have mentioned and on the first vid follow the 20k steps to be able to bypass google/android FRP.
Farewell.
Would someone please point me out their fav XT2055-1 roms ?
Thank you.
The Issue:
The phone is constantly booting looping (flashes the Oneplus logo).I am unable to go to fastboot through either adb or through the on-phone buttons.
When plugged into a charger, it immediately begins to bootloop once enough power is supplied.
The only way to turn it off is by letting it get to 0%.
What caused the issue:
My phone got soft bricked all of a sudden, so I followed some tutorials that I found online showing me how to flash firmware using adb in fastboot and by unlocking my bootloader. This temporarily fixed the issue, but it told me that after doing everything I should relock it through ADB. Foolishly, I did so and am now stuck in this situation.
What I've tried:
I am able to get into EDL mode by holding both volume buttons, even while in the boot loop state.
I have downloaded the latest version of QPST and this firmware file (https://firmwarefile.com/oneplus-10t-5g-cph2415).
Quick note: I'm not sure if that's how it's meant to be, but QPST always detects my phone as "Download" (ESN: Download, Phone Number: Download, Banner: Download).
I am not quite sure how to use QPST and have tried following the guide, which told me to select some.hex files from the firmware I downloaded, but I was unable to find any.hex files at all and therefore could not proceed.
I also tried QFIL by selecting prog_firehose_ddr.elf from the IMAGES folder and tried multiple times in both UFS and emmc mode, selecting all of the rawprogram 1-5.xml files with their corresponding patch1-5.xml files from the IMAGES folder, but I always got the same error:

I have tried the leaked EDL flasher from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/edl-flash-tool-leak.4494211/. However, I have been unsuccessful in doing so, though I may have been doing it wrong, and it would be greatly appreciated if someone could explain or tell me how to do it. As you can see in the attached image, I tried to flash it by using the images folder located in the firmware that I have downloaded. But it just gets stuck at 3%
indefinitely as the time goes up forever.
Thanks for reading looking forward to any replies/info
uh do not flash it by qfil it will just not work because oneplus actually blocked qfil and qpst so the only way is their edl tool and you cannot flash it on the edl tool unless you have an (actual) account and (not) bypassed

the Merge was a mistake, its laughable that OnePlus went from being with the opensource community to being completely against it.. What annoys me the most is, instead of just locking their bootloader, they post the source code for their phone, probably as they have to, yet they give no way to utilize that code without developers running the risk of bricking their device.. Developers are willing to dedicate their time and money, to build for a device, all they ask, is for the ability to be able to unbrick, that is humble, Devs ask for donations, they do not force it.. Oppo do not even allow their bootloader to be unlocked, which prevents users from bricking their device.. OnePlus allow users to unlock their bootloader, knowing full well that Developers will understandably not be willing to develop for a device without a potential 60-80% brick chance.. The code could very well build for said rom, but once flashed it has the potential to turn the dev's device into a paper weight, meaning something they do to provide, turns into something that ultimately takes..

Well said to be honest that clears my suspicion about oppo they are greedy and dirty and maybe it is oppo who is making oneplus act like this in the first place oneplus should really consider all of this and give the people what they want instead of being a monopoly like oppo i never even liked oppo from the beginning actually i trusted oneplus with my 7t because i knew if i were to brick it the msm tool will always be there it has been months since the release of the 10t and ace pro and yet still no msm tool for it or a way to even get it back yet but there are many msm tools for the rest of the oneplus devices so maybe i am wrong they can tell us but i still think it is wrong that th 10 pro has to have an actual account.
I'm stuck with a Hard Brick and my device screen is black, only entering EDL for a few seconds.

the only thing i can think of is a slot switch
Yes Probably what happened but now i'm totally stuck on the bootloop until no baterry left.
Cant access fastboot because the phone boot and 2 seconds later reboot ... I can only access edl mode with Oneplus Flasher (bypassed by Hexa change) but after that, like op described the time keep increasing ,and circle progress stays at 3%, nothing seems change on phone
You have no option but to use the official flashing revovery via Oneplus / oppo whoever does it which means paying them to reflash the phone correctly
Ok thank you, so ive to send back the phone or i can do it on my own ?

no need to send the phone to oneplus just contact them directly and arrange for one of their techs to reflash your phone over the internet

Thank you for your help and answers
So anyone who still watching this thread I made progress on this whole problem I took the 11r firmware file and it has script.sh commands in there and I ran them and it extracted all of the firmware files and made a bin folder that has only two folders inside of it and it took all the files to make it it puts it in your recovery section of your computer but it compiled all the empty files so they actually have things on them if you want to know how I did it and what I used just private message me cuz I will not be posting public because Oppo
