DeckerSu: Initially Compiled TWRP
Shinru2004: bootanimation.zip and motivation to make my own tweaked rom from stock
My Fiance and baby girl for putting up with me and giving me the time I needed to scour the net researching, testing and editing files:highfive:
TWRP Builder Team For Updating TWRP Custom Recovery to 3.2.3.0 for us:good:
Stock Rom sourced from the 6055U Cricket version of the Idol 4, hence the name of the rom. What I'm looking for in this rom is for it to be smaller, faster and stable.
Made for and from 6055U
Confirmed working on 6055B
Confirmed working on 6055P
Confirmed working on 6055K
SuperSU
Busybox 1.30.1
Xposed(reboot twice to activate)
Init.d Support
su.d Support
Debloated
SeLinux Permissive Patched
10 Languages Supported
ART Runtime Optimized
~CricketRom 5-2-2019 Changes
-Rebuilt from scratch with the stock base
-USB Debugging fixed and Auto-Enabled
-Updated several apps and removed a couple
Please Read This Before Posting Issues or Questions*If you are getting Error 7 in TWRP, check here for the fix: https://forum.xda-developers.com/idol-4s/how-to/fix-twrp-error-7-t3832283
*If you plan to use Waterfox, I highly recommend you hit the settings in it, go to addons and install Ublock Origin for it. It's by far the best popup blocker I've ever used and I use it on my desktop browser as well.
*SELinux is now set to permissive automatically during rom installation and is static unless you change it with SELinux switch. SELinux switch app is still installed so you can switch freely.
**If you have a Dual-Sim model and want it working, send me a PM with your model# and your build.prop, and I'll get to making a flashable zip that will enable it.
Installation
1- Have Newest TWRP Installed
2- Wipe Data, System, Cache, Dalvik
3- Install ~CricketRom~ from TWRP
4- Reboot and wait 5-10 minutes for first boot
5- On first boot, reboot again(Activate Xposed)
6- ENJOY!!!

Some very interesting things are about to be happening with the Idol 4. I'm learning to build android and I also found a great Dev to help. Not only are we looking towards Android 8 on the Idol 4, but we are looking at making the Idol 4 Treble, which opens the doors to GSI roms, like LOS, RR, PixelExperience and all the other GSI Rom releases(there are alot!)
Please try the new version and post some feedback, it would be greatly appreciated. This is still a great phone and is going to get the love it deserves!!
I've spent Several Hundred Hours on this project, so If you enjoy CricketRom, my TWRP release or my newest RootPackage, Please hit the Thanks Button.

I got root using the previous method, it's not difficult.
Hardest thing about this phone is balancing the cores on the cpu. If you go to high the battery drains severely and too low it locks up a lot. Wish Alcatel would have released the kernel source I could have made a custom overclockable kernel with better core management.

They did release the source, for the 6055K. all the software is interchangeable between devices. the only thing different really is the build.prop for different features and regions, and some small differences like languages and such. That's how I got all the languages in the Cricket version, borrowed from the 6055K. Doesnt even matter if the phone has 2 or 3gb ram. the kernel knows which is which. Glad to have you back Shinru2004, been a long time man. Hopefully you'll be around and such. Do you still have an Idol 4?

I do still have my idol 4. No pc currently though, when i made my shinjitsu rom they didnt have the source as far as i know. But, once i have a new pc i can build you a custom kernel with better core management since the source is available now. Not to mention i would be able to build oreo or pie for the idol.

Awesome ROM.... got it to work with the instructions in the download. Works great!!! Testing as daily driver. I had to input the sim unlock code again, but that is probably something I did wrong on my end. Thx for all your effort :good:.
Also, it has a bright screen so I can lower the brightness level and significantly extended the battery life.

Hi guys, I'm using the latest version and so far it's going great, there are only 2 things I have questions about, first, Why is it that when I go to wallshuffle settings crashes? (Force close) (I really like that function) and second, How can I get the original camera? (TCT camera)?
Greetings from El Salvador.
Live Wallpaper

Forget about camera, I just flashed the zip that was uploaded on the previous thread. I'd just like to know why I cannot use live wallpapers (I want to use parallax wallpapers) and If something can be done to enable it, also the crash when I try to open wallshuffle, despite the points I mentioned, the ROM is just great.

Hi,
i was using Mokee 4.4.4 and since a few weeks I'm using Mokee 5.0.2
It is a rom like CM12 but with some customization, not as many as AOKP but still more than in CM12
It is multilangual and as stable as cm12
It was updated recently : http://www.yirom.com/rom/index/344
did someone already download it ? If yes is it possible to upload it somewhere else like mega ?
Thank you in advance
I'm running the 23/3 version of Mokee 5.02 as of a few hours. So far so good!
Does dual sim works well?
And battery consumption is similar to 4.4.4 RC7?
Did you detected any bugs?
Is it stable enough for a daily device?

I'm using the previous version (1st march) and I used it daily
i don't use 2 sim cards.
I had 1 reboot (not a wished, it was because of a crash) in nearly one month

The previous version dual SIM worked very well. I'll know if the dual SIM will work well for the new version later this week as I will be travelling.
Yes I'm using it for a daily work phone as I rely on it. Thou I have my ultra-stable iPhone 6 as my personal phone/backup :victory:
can someome upload it ?
EDIT: Someone post a mirror in other topic
I used this one : http://www.gamefront.com/files/24894999/MK50.2-nx507j-201503230233-UNOFFICIAL.zip
I think I get more spontaneous reboots with this new version than with the last version. However, it could be due to the memory leak issue all Android Lollipop phones have and isn't fixed until 5.1

This has been confirmed in several posts on some of the Chinese bbs. Apparently, someone has released a temporary fix; although, I haven't tried it yet. I agree, I'm having the same problem. Additionally, it vibrates for everything. I currently have it set to vibrate only on phone and SMS, yet it does for everything and I cannot find out how to make it stop.

I didn't noticed this kind of error
but I admit this is because of my config => my phone does not vibrate and it is my xiaomi MiBand who vibrate for specific notifications
does anybody have a custom recovery that works with android 5.0 on z7 mini.
I have stock 5.0 installed and wanted to flash the newest mokee. but when i want to make a backup through the old mokee cwm, but it always says "cant mount data".I would thing thats because of the changed partitions.
Anyway, is there any (non-chinese) recovery that i can use with stock 5.0?

Here in the z7 mini rom thread on post 781 (top) is a link to TWRP 2.8.5.0. However, I don't know if the new mokee works after flashing the nubia version of 5.0 because I don't think (someone can correct me) the mokee uses unified storage yet. Can someone verify this?
Thanks, trying TWRP right now.
So anybody knows if i can flash Mokee 5.02 after flashing Offical 5.0 with the new kind of partitions?

I did not tried it right now as i'm still discoverng this android 5 by nubia...
i just tried it 1 min and can already say that I may switch to mokee soon (I'll try the nubia rom 1 week I guess..)
the UI feels slow
I don't like the nubia theme
and beside of that, the French translation f(cuoco92 rom) is partial and canadian only (other timezone, other clock format, other keyboard layout...)
nubia's rom seems more unstable than mokee (from the first comments I read on cuoco92 facebook page)
it is also very BIG (double the size...)
If you are afraid of bricking the phone, you can also use the stupid chinese tool to install again kitkat on the phone, then install again mokee
but i guess (not sure !!!! ) that it should be possible to install mokee without doing this pain in the ass trick :/

No, you cannot. See this thread on the Nubia forum. CM12 and Mokee are still technically considered 4.4 because they do not use the unified storage. You will most likely brick the phone if you attempt to flash it. You have to first use the Nubia updater to go back to at least 1.82, then you can use CM12 or Mokee.
I don't have a lot of experience working with Android devices. A new coworker of mine has an Oppo R9 Plus that was purchasing in China. It currently only has access to a Chinese-language app store (even though the phone is in English mode).
If possible, I am looking to help her root the phone, and replace the OS with a standard version of the Android operating system (a newer version would be great, but really the version doesn't much matter). The goal here is to be rid of China-specific junk and limitations, and to have access to the standard Google Play store.
Unfortunately, searches here and on the web have not been super helpful, providing me a range of tools and possibilities (many locked behind very scammy looking offers before download). Is what I want to do possible? Any direction for where I should be looking?
Do you find a solution? I got the same problem with my Oppo R9.. The important things are still in Chinese and no method i found in the internet to root the Phone works..
Hi Guys , I had the same issue and i tried to flash Oppo r9 plus with the international ROM from singapore website of oppo . But now i m stuck on Oppo logo when i boot the phone . My phone is R9 Plusm A. Any help will be appreciated .

HI all, you have to down grade the firmware to early version to able to root. use any one click root tool, and then download oppo tools 2.apk, use the oppo tool to unlock bootloader, if you get this far, try to search twrp.img file on internet to overwrite the recovery, boot into TWRP recovery install any up to date firmware, or CM13 TO CM14.
CM14 got bug, not able to get 4g signal on both sim
Good luck

Hi, R9 plusA with root and unlock bootloader Can i flash international firmware (x9709)?
Im not sure, not try
From what I can tell, the modem firmware on the international and Chinese international variants are different. To get LineageOS 13 working on mine I had to replace NON-HLOS.bin in the firmware packages from Wuxianlin with one from ColorOS.
After a few small tweaks to the device tree LineageOS 13 seems to be working fine on the X9079

Hey there.....may I ask the steps you took to achieve this? From stock all the way to the Lineage OS that you reached. I've tried tons of stuff but it doesnt seem to work. Could you guide me? or maybe email me? Thanks in advance Kudos for showing evidence that its still possible to Custom OS that R9 Plus.(Color OS honestly is pathetic.....I could've give it a chance if developer options are permanent but Nooooooo.)

All information is in the linked thread to the Oppo Forums. And most of the Kudos goes to Wuxianlin I've been using Lineage as my daily driver - it's almost perfect - but because of Oppo's GPL violation in not releasing the source code for the kernel, some little bugs may never be able to be fixed.
The firmware files won't download.

Hello. Thanks for your tutorial and file Repo. I am doing work for a client who wants the stock firmware flashed on his device again. From what i gather it is a Chinese version. It has a Chinese and English menu. Did you flash to the international from a Chinese model or another? Phone is still new to me so I've no idea if there was more than just the 2. I read your post on Oppo http://community.oppo.com/en/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=51837&extra= and understand the instructions and have been debating flashing however since this is what i believe to be a Chinese version I don't wan't to risk bricking it. Was yours a Chinese model and was the only thing needed besides root and twrp a simple swap of the NON-HLOS.bin in the firmware packages from Wuxianlin with one from ColorOS? I noticed you said you made a few tweaks too.
Has this project progressed much?
If i don't take the above route could you possibly guide me to a working flash file for 5.1.1 and 6.0 ColorOS Chinese/English model of the R9 Plusm A?
This is what i've found and tried so far flashing from SD-CARD with no luck however. - X9079EX_11_OTA_013_all_201706081345_local.zip (a few others too but they are updates and i need to format and flash all.)
Sorry for 10000 questions. I'm not left with a whole lot of information and options on this phone.

As it says in big red letters on the opening post on the oppo forums, it's for the international version only (X9079EX) . I have never owned a R9 Plusm A, and I sold my international one anyway.
I got it all taken care of last evening. Client should be happy.

Thanks,
phonecapone

Is the R9 Plusm A the International and the R9s Plus the Chinese or a totally different model? I'm still reading up as phone is new to me. Confused.

Hi All,
I have a Chinese purchased Oppo A57 running ColorOS version 3.0 and Android 6.0.1. As other have mentioned a lot of the core apps and settings are still in Chinese despite the fact that all the language settings have been turned to English. Is there "flashing for dummies" method of getting an English version of the OS installed on this thing that has limited (or no) chance of me bricking the phone. I have read through the thread and to be frank a lot of the instruction seem to be above my pay grade. If anyone has some suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. The alternative is to learn Chinese which will be tough.

And what and how you do it?
TO ALL - it's been more than a year since this thread was opened, and still not a single normal answer. Guys with X9097X phone - stop answering here - you have intenarional version of smartphone so it is easy for you to upgrade firmware, change firmware or even flash custom.
The main problem is OPPO R9 Plusm A - full chinese phone. I was so stupid to changed my iphone 6 plus 64gb to this POS. I was really hoping that soon someone will find way how to change chinese ROM to international one, but still it is impossible. I tell you more - OPPO comunity forum already deleted all threads about R9 Plusm A.
Half an year ago on oppo community forum was one man who managed to make manual how to delete/stop all chinese junk on this phone, but thanks to administration of forum it was deleted and now, when i accidentaly done factory reset i can't find this article and remove chinese junk...
I don't ask you for manual of flashing international ROM, but maybe someone have screenshots or cached version of that deleting chinese junk manual? I will be very appretiating for this.
PS i'm sorry for any mistaces in my sentences, it is not my native language and i'm from Ukraine) Please help me, because i've tired fighting with this phone and i can't even sell it, because nobody understand the power and potential of this phone while it is full of chinese apps and services.

FAQ:
Q: Is this Android 5.X, 6.X, 7,X or 12.X??
A: No, it is based on Kit Kat (4.4.4).
Q: Why Android Kit Kat?
A: It is easy to port and i am not currently able to make the kernel source work in order to get a more upgraded Android version.
Q: Can you implement X, Y or Z feature, mod or app?
A: Nope.
Q: Does it have any bug?:
A: Mentioned below.
Bugs:
This may vary on next builds, if i continue supporting the ROM.
- Camera not working.
- Light sensor not working.
- CarbonROM personalization menu disappears on some specific conditions. To solve it go back and enter again.
- After installing any gapps package Play Store does not connect. Seems to be an issue related to the framework. This issue may desappear to you, for some strange reason, after 1 day.
- "Perfomance" menu crashes as it is not adapted for our devices.
- Maybe something else i forgot.

Good news bro. I find that t1-a21l is the same model as its Chinese variant t1-a23l, whose OTA EMUI3.1 ( android 5.0) has been available. You shall download and install its 4.4 rom from Chinese Huawei site and see if you can upgrade through OTA.
BTW, I have tested your rom on my LTE variant, and it works just fine!
Again, thanks for your work!

Oh didn't know that about the t1-23l, that's great!
I'll try to port the rom, it should not be a problem as they should be the same device.

Hi, thank you for your words. The charging speed is the stock one as we use the stock kernel and i don't think i will work on this rom anymore for the simple reason that i have a completely stable Lollipop (EMUI 3.1) rom, so i can use it as base to try to port other Lollipop roms

Did you take a backup? If so it should be available on the sd card or internal memory and you should be able to access through the restore menu from the recovery.
Anyway, you can flash the flashable stock rom from my thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-mediapad/development/rom-emui-3-0-light-mediapad-t1-10-t3609602

Hi Mustang.
I'm currently running your Carbon ROM 4.4 but I would like to use the tablet T1-A21L for my son and Google's Family Link can only run on Android 5+ (Lollipop).
Since you said you managed to run a stable EMUI 3.1 (Android 5 Lollipop) for the device, could you share the steps you would have taken.
I looked for the Stock EMUI for <t1-a23l> in FirmwareFinder as it was mentionned that OTA to EMUI 3.1 eexisted for this compatiblee hardware.
However I cannot find it.
Any chance to explain how yo got Lollipop to run on this device ?
Thanks.

About the "completely working EMUI 3.1 ROM" (twrp flashable): It was indeed a working build but there was some issues for the installation that i needed to solve that whether didnt allow to install it correctly or it didnt boot, to solve this i personally had to make some workaround. I didnt realease it as it was not ready for public usage and never found a way to fix the installation issue.

I've owned various Android devices since my first Cupcake phone. Every time I get a new device, one of the first things I do is to come here to see how the development is going. I've never got a new phone that had the forums soo empty. I don't know if it's just too soon or if this particular phone will never become a model loved by our friends that use to give us the best custom experience in this forums. What do you think?
I have the same opinion.
We're on the same boat.

Same opinion, even from the official developers, this device is stuck on MIUI 10.2 stable both china and global since it came out, MIUI 10.4 stable its already out for some devices like the Mi 6 and we're on MIUI 10.5 over the beta...
Huh, even today we had another update on the PE rom?

That ROM is really promising, but taking my experience with another devices, at this time we'd be here with plenty of ROMs, Kernels and mods. I think the device will never be a good phone for customization just because, for some reason, it couldn't be attractive enough for the developers. Maybe it's this boring waiting time to unlock the bootloader... I don't know...

My thoughts exactly. Checking the Forums what I should flash, during the unlock waiting time (also an unusually thing), I got some doubt If I should even bother with this device.
But after 2 weeks of using it with Revolution OS I am pretty happy with the experience. Even though this heavy MIUI menu customizations need some time to sink in.
I hope they will keep up the support and that xiaomi gets in the game finally and releases some fixes.
I have got the impression many snapdragon 855 devices are struggling with custom rom and dev support. I hope Android Q gets native in-display fingerprint support which could help with many custom rom problems on this newer devices.
It doesn't have OnePlus printed on the phone... otherwise we'd have 20 ROMs 15 Kennels and an official twrp.
Seems Devs are moving away from XDA and posting elsewhere..

Well, if you are looking for a custom ROM, there are are few such as PE.
BUT: I personally have used custom ROMs on every device I have owned, EXCEPT for my Mi9!
REASON: Custom ROMs will break useful functions of the device such as the AI-button and Fingerprint.
I love the MIUI ROM the way it is, it has many functions that are missing in vanilla Android.
For those who say, it is too complicated: You are either too lazy or don't want to learn new stuff - or both.
ROOT:
And I absolutely refuse to use a device that I can't root in order to De-Bloat and Firewall it, etc...
So here my instructions for successfully root. Please DON'T ask about other ROMs or other ways to root!
I have failed with many other intructions and I found what works perfectly for me, as it should for you as well.
HOW TO ROOT MI9 SUCCESSFULLY
ATTENTION:
If your device comes new out of the box, the bootloader needs to be unlocked.

Use this tool: https://en.miui.com/unlock/download_en.html

You do need to connect your Mi9 to your MI account and you need to wait for the Flash Tool to work after the waiting period.

But you must first initiate the wait count by using the flash tool.
If flashing bricked device with Mi-FlashTool, the Bootloader becomes locked again and needs to be unlocked.

If your the waiting period is over, this goes instantly.
Install the CORRECT TWRP via “fastboot flash recovery twrp-new.img” then install the latest Stable GLOBAL ROM from here:
http://en.miui.com/download-361.html
Without installing anything else, set-up the system!

Do NOT USE the option to restore your apps (since another wipe is necessary after rooting).

There is also no need to login to Play-Store or MI-Sync.

I don’t use Mi-Sync nor any other MI-Apps at all!!!
Enable Developer Options, then USB-Debugging and Unknown-Sources.
Check unlock status of MI Account in Dev-Options, add account.
Without installing anything else, set-up the system, YES – AGAIN since BL was locked.
Install Mi9 specific TWRP 3.2.3 from Mauronofrio from here.
[RECOVERY][3.3.1-35][cepheus]Unofficial TWRP for Xiaomi Mi 9 (Stable) or newer:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/Mi-9/development/recovery-unofficial-twrp-xiaomi-mi-9-t3905825
After flashing TWRP, press volume up and power together and hold both until the phone reboots, let go of power after it vibrates but keep holding Vol up until it boots again to TWRP. That way it'll stick.
Install latest MAGISK from here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
Update Magisk in Magisk Manager if necessary and Configure in Settings SU to always allow if you don’t like to have the danger of missing a SU-Request.

You might keep the notifications on for a while to see that it works.
Install Busybox and verify that it stays installed, if not change settings.

The Busybox from Jared Rummler JRummy Apps should stick if installed into /system/xbin/ or try another location.

I had trouble having the version from Stephen (Stericson) stick.
To check if rooting was successfully, I suggest Advanced Root Checker:

If you want to block Ads, install ADAWAY manually since it is not in the Store.
AND PLAESE REMEMBER:
I will be glad to help with my method!
DO NOT ASK ABOUT OTHER METHODS!
Why: I spent much time to make this work while other methods terribly failed.
Thanks

But.. we have PE, CrDroid, Viper, Lineage already lol
Once we get build vendor I'm sure even more build bots will come, I wonder where you see the problems related to this device.
Just wait lol. There arn't many devices (if any) with snapdragon 855 and bug free custom ROMs yet.

Exactly this. Being on the technology's bleeding edge means not many users will have it already. To be honest, I'm more than happy with what we currently have, a fully working stable TWRP, Miui is actually quite good, and I had a lot of fear it wouldn't be, as this is my first Xiaomi device, Floko, PixelExperience, LineageOS, crdroid, viperOS and all this for a very recent SoC used in few devices.
Honestly, I'm not concerned at all.
Custom kernels? Who needs them when you have LTK on magisk.

Yeah, you're right, I just hope this device gets more attention from the kernel devs. There's where the real improvements can be done I guess.
And EVEN IF we end up not getting much more out of the device from devs, I personally think that you don't necessarily need other custom roms anymore, because we already have so many tweaking possibilites.
With MIUI based custom roms (like ROS i'm currently on, or Xiaomi.eu) you get your phone debloated + a few tweaks already out of the box.
After switching to ROS, it felt better but still missed some little tweaks you often get in AOSP based Roms, like switching to next / previous track when screen is off by long pressing volume buttons, or double tap on status bar to sleep. So I found out about CustoMIUIzer, which brings all of that + more.
At last I wanted a little bit more color / theme customization, so I played around with the Themes app. At first I thought the themes will not change much, or that there are only ugly ones out there, but actually if you take your time and scroll through them you'll actually find some gems, and they're free ! (not like on Huawei's Themes App I previously had a bad experience with on my old P10). I recommend the user "peywizart", he has some good ones.
And you can combine them, like take the lockscreen of one theme, the icons of the other, the status bar of another, which can already get you a nice looking UI.
But eventually, I ended up wanting to stay with the stock theme and changing the colors myself. So I found out (yesterday actually, on the CustoMIUIzer thread, thanks user kaizer hanz !) that Swift Installer works quite well with MIUI. I actually bought the app, because I think paying 2 bucks for cross overlay customization (I will be able to use it on any phone / overlay later) is really not bad.
I agree that it would be better if other roms came out that are maybe better optimised, and have all these customizations out of the box, but I think we already have pretty good dev support and possibilities with this phone for now. And until we get a bugfree AOSP experience for our device, I guess I'll stick with my current setup and dream about my good old memories of AOKP on my Nexus 4
So now I'm here, with a snappy, stable phone, with all camera features and fingerprint working, decent battery life, and customized to my likings. Check my signature and screenshots to see what I'm running with links.
Cheers !

No magisk hide, it stops magisk hiding root from gpay or any other apps you've whitelisted.
CTS profile remains intact.
What happened with that developer whom local users donated money for Mi9 and who should deliver stable Lineage?

UNOFFICIAL VERSION - BETA
We are very excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Quartz, based on Android 10.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.
Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. WoW! i didn't see this coming! thanks! hope to try it in the next days
Finally my favorite rom. Props for the good work.
My phone is K30 Pro, running 12.0.9 cn. With all these weird rom requirements and smartphone varient (f2 pro/k30 pro. although these are the same thing.), I am now very confused about flashing. Can you confirm me that will it be working if I flash it to my K30 Pro over 12.0.9 cn?

Pretty sure it will not work flashing over 12.0.9 at this point.
All the custom roms for the device right now use a pre built vendor partition and pre built kernel from the specified miui rom they name.
If you use a different one and flash over it, stuff will be broken. This will likely change as roms evolve and mature.
What likely will work but is untested, is using the eea equivalent 12.0.3 but even that is not confirmed right now.
Is it really recommended to use mauronofrio's TWRP? Based on experience, the latest Chinese one is more stable.
This is big and wonderful news. Thanks a lot

I use it only to flash the rom and don't actually flash twrp onto the device.
And definitely do test any other twrp if you like and if that works please let us know.

That depends on your phone. The global and eea modele have 12.0.3 available to them.
If you are actually using the Chinese version of the phone that was meant for the chinese market (your CN firmware seems to indicate that) you probably shouldn't install any other miui rom on it than CN. But again, this is not something I am knowledgeable about and would recommend you search for more information elsewhere.
I installed this rom, I made a mistake the first time. Didn't know you had to be on stock recovery, I only saw that part of the instructions in the readme file that was with the rom file. I tried to install from recovery and I had to flash back to stock with miflash.
Some feedback - only slow charging ATM, I was transferring some files and it seems to drop off MTP and just started charging the device. No rcs messaging in google messages? 5g is working and volte! Otherwise nice job!
Note: on the main charger it seems to be charging pretty fast even though it says charging slowly.
Just want to say that I manage to flash this with LR team TWRP.
Awesome ROM, so smooth.. the biggest issue is the fingerprint not accurate , it takes 3 to 4 times to get detected if at all.
Also magisk is not working for me using stable, I'll try canary maybe. For first launch this is great, will be waiting for your update, cheers.
First of all, thanks for the work, the installation went smoothly, everything working perfectly and without errors. Great job.
So how's the setup

You're right about the fod not being all that great, that's going to be worked on.
As to Magisk, 20.4 works here with Magisk Hide Props and a switch to basic authentication.
With that setup the phone is used here with google pay and no issues at all.

The charging works here, both slow and rapid charging are indicated properly. Maybe check with the next release since mine is always a little bit newer than the one posted.
As to RCS, I think we may have talked about this earlier on TG. RCS seems to work here just fine so I don't really know what the issue is with that right now. Maybe if you have the chance test one of the other new AOSP ROM's for the device too, to see if it's any different with those.

Ah ok, will try magisk hide props.
Also, I turned on the option to hold power button to turn of flashlight but not working for me? I'm starting to think this and FOD issue is because I didn't use miflash to flash 12.0.3 ROM first....
Btw thanks for all your work, the ROM is amazingly smooth.

FYI - Since I have unlocked the phone a lot I have found I have been way more accurate with FOD. It seems like the area is a little smaller to press than what it was on MIUI - my two cents lol.
I'm charging the phone again now and it says charging slowly, but it seems to be charging fast.
I will test out another base, I know someone else who's on Evolution X - same country and carrier. Same issue as me and rcs worked fine for both of us on MIUI.

Rcs has worked on every rom for me after updating the messages app. Sometimes if that doesn't help it'll randomly start working on its own somehow after a few mins
