Play audio on two different Bluetooth devices/speakers - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

Hello , is there any way to play audio to two different Bluetooth device at once ( 2 Bluetooth speakers) ?
The future is found on S8 etc.
If no , is it a software limitation or and hardware one

I wouldn't call it an "issue". Android devices can connect to more than one Bluetooth enabled device at a moment ( I use my fitband and Bluetooth speaker at the same time ). Only some OEM let's you play audio via two channels. Root your device and search around, there should be a way

Bluetooth version 5 supports this but it also needs to integrated into by manufacturer of phone.
Mi needs to add this feature into MIUI.

Its not like that
Band and speakers connect with phone using different profiles and adding two different speakers will need to connect with phone using same Bluetooth profiles which is supported in v5 and Violet has this but not integrated by Mi

[Q] Using a tablet as a Mobile phone hands free

Hi all
I use my galaxy player as an in car music player and GPS. Does anyone know of a way that i can connect my phone to it so that the player acts like bluetooth car kit like the ones you buy or are already included in cars?
Have seen searched and found remote dialers etc but nothing that allows you to use the player to dial a number on the phone AND receive/send audio from/to the phone. Unfortunately the terms bluetooth handsfree yield plenty of, in this case, irrelevant results
I have been thinking about the same problem, Now a days there seem to be more Android based head units that have the ability. But the "right" solution for me is still to have a tablet acting as information center in the car, and more or less the only thing that are missing is handfree ability
N
apple has it ( http://support.apple.com/en-au/HT6337 ) ... i am soooo waiting for this on android ... i read that Google release API recently ... waiting for someone to port them in android ...

Bluetooth Headset disconnect

Just got a Verizon GS and am noticing that my typical setup, Watch on left hand, BT headset in right ear I get constant disconnects with
my Bluetooth headset.
The connection will drop and the call audio will revert to the speaker on the watch.
I have tried disabling WiFi and GPS with no success.
Anyone else having this issue?

I don't have this issue but I did have a similar problem when I was using a Sony BT headset with my old Galaxy Gear.
I corrected this issue with an excellent app called "Bluetooth Auto Connect"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
It's useful for prioritising bluetooth devices. It might be helpful, then again the Gear S does have unusual connection bridging. It's worth a go.

Its a BT 4.0 headset, its the new Jawbone ERA, no issues with other devices.
Hi,
I`m using a Plantronics headset, which works fine with my Samsung S4 (and all other phones).
Now, I`ve tried to connect the headset to my Gear. The connection itself works fine and without any problem.
But, and that`s angrily, I can use the headset only when the Gear is not connected via BT to my mobile (S4).
Inside the Tel-App, the headset symbole is not shown (greyed out), but inside the BT Headset configuration profile shown as "paired".
If I disconnect my BT connection between the mobile and the Gear, the headset works at once with the gear.
Many configurations checked, I`ve no more ideas.
Any hint?
Thanks in advance, tregobad
Update:
I`ve checked again how it works.
My Headset (Plantronics 725) is connected with the mobile AND Gear S.
Mobile and Gear are connected via BT.
If I get a call, both devices ringing (Multi Sim). Doesn`t matter if I accept the call at the mobile OR Gear, i can use the Headset.
But , if I accept the call at the Gear and use the Headset, the mobile is used and connected with the Headset.
That means:
mobile and Gear BT connected = Headset connects to mobile
disconnected = Headset connect to the device you be beside, mobile OR Gear

I'm experiencing an issue that may be related. I have my Gear S connected with my Note 4 and when I turn on a BT headset that's only paired to my Note 4, the Gear S disconnects. I then manually go and reconnect my Gear S to my Note 4.
Is there a way to keep the Gear S connected to my Note 4 when I turn on my BT headset? Or will the Gear S always disconnect from my Note 4 when a different audio device connects to the Note 4?

Volume sync bluetooth headset

SOLVED! see my reply below
Hello all.
I just got my new LG V30. An amazing smartphone.
Only trouble I have is volume sync when using my Sennheiser PXC550 bluetooth.
Volume up and down on the headset does not sync with volume on the phone.
I have tested some other headset and the only one I managed to test out that the sync worked was with Sony WH-1000XM2.
Anyone here tested other headset and it's working?
Problem SOLVED!
LG Nordic raised the question to LG South-Korea and they came back with the following answer and solution:
"Volume sync with bluetooth can only be guaranteed with certain tested devices.
The list is as follows;
LG HBS series, Sony MW600 / WH-1000XM2 / WH-1000X,
Apple BeatsSolo Wireless, Plantronics Backbeat Go,
Jabra MOVE / COACH / PULSE, Bose QuietComfort 30/35,
B&O H5 / H7 / H9 / H9i
This is also probably given if they have the correct AVRCP version.
Regardless; We have a tip that can make it work anyway;
1. Connect smartphone with Bluetooth headset.
2. Settings> Network> Bluetooth> Select the headset settings icon (right)>
Edit the name of the device> Rename the device name as "ABS-DO-ENABLE".
3. Disconnect the headset> Reconnect the headset."
I have testet this on my Sennheiser PXC550 and it works!
Volume now syncs on BT.
Hey thanks a thousand times! I have the same headset (PXC 550). The best piece of hardware I ever owned. I will try that tip because this was the only point I disliked.
So lucky I came across your thread

Worked for me too! Thanks again.
Nice tip! Works for my BT headset also. Any idea how to make it work for more than one BT device - not connected at the same time, but I have a few different headsets.
Thanks for this. Just got it working with my Jabra elite 65t. Was driving me crazy!

This was driving me bonkers too, but I think I've got it figured out. Name each device with the same prefix, but add a bit to the end to specify which each is. Here's how I have it set up:
ABS-DO-ENABLE (headphones)
ABS-DO-ENABLE (car)
ABS-DO-ENABLE (speakers)
Wonky, yeah, but at least it's working now.
Hey there,
i can confirm this workaround exept on behalf of the of the time this is working. When i delete my device from known devices and reconnect it afterwards while renaming it to the above pattern it works exactly one time. After a reconnect it behaves like before. Im assuming there might be some side effect regarding the used connection protocol. Do you know which AVRCP Version is used at your device ?

Hi, @Tymo55.
My headphone device, Sennheiser PXC550, uses AVRCP ver. 1.5 according to the manual.
I recommend you run the native LG app "Smart doctor", "optimize device" and reboot your LG V30-phone.

Bluetooth stability issues?

Hi folks,
I bought a Honor 8X last week, and until now I'm very satisfied, except for one thing: Bluetooth stability.
I use Bluetooth earbuds and speakers on a daily basis, and on all 3 devices I use, I'm encountering regular drops and stutters during audio playback.
I'm using the same devices with my previous phone, a OnePlus 3T, and I didn't get those issues (well, not BT related issues, I had other ones with that phone )
I'm also regularly having troubles to connect to my Anker speaker.
Anyone else is having this issue?
I use BT headset most evenings watching TV etc no pertic brand just cheap ones and not noticed any issue also had my 8x a week nearly

I am facing same issue. Device paired but media audio and input device are disabled. Only showing device is paired
I don't have this issue, it's probably because of the software. If it's not solved with an update, then who knows what's causing the issue.

I don't have this problem. It may be related to your bluetooth device. What is the bluetooth device you use?:○

Well, he said that the bleutooth device worked perfectly with OP 3T, my guess is that the current software of the 8X is the issue.
I fixed this by changing the bluetooth codec used in the developer settings.
1. Enable developer settings
2. Change the Bluetooth audio codec to SBC from aptX to SBC

When I go to developer options, bt audio codec options are grayed out. Can't change anything...
honor 8x cannot find or detect sony wi c300 bluetooth headset...although honor is very good when using it...i am very satisfied but i only regret in terms of connecting bluetooth headset.
I have no issues with bluetooth, the range is better than my previous huawei P8 max and it doesn't randomly disconnect.
What case are you using? Metal bumpers may look cool but they kill bluetooth and cellullar signal.

Hi
I have the same problem and I'm happy to know I am not alone, on French websites I have not found this topic. So my bluetooth headsets are a model called Fozento, Version Bluetooth: V4.2.
And my speakers are Ultimate Ears Boom.
With both I have the same problem and that is very very annoying.
i have the same issue with my bluetooth devices (Bose, JBL)
Hi! I´ve got a weird Bluetooth problem, i hope someone could help. I´ts about data transfer. I tried to send some photos to my work PC from my new 8X. Did not work, it sends a few percent of the photo and then I get an error message "BluetoothStackserver crashed" or something like that. New, up to date PC with the newest drivers, Win 8.1 64 bit. Well, I tried with different other devices, Galaxy S9plus, Honor 7x, Note 10.1 2014, and even my old Surface Pro (also with 8.1 64 bit) it works with everything but my PC. (And my PC works also with all of them). I brought it home, added to my wife´s PC (older but high spec laptop) and also doesn´t work but this time without error messages. I tried to connect to her phone (some LG) also works perfectly. Sending, receiving. I literally tried everything, newest drivers, reboot, but nothing seems working. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Same issue with mine. APTX stutters and is unusable. When I pair headphones that use APTX, I have to turn off APTX and revert to SBC to enjoy listening to music (which is an inferior codec). Something wrong with the software and APTX codec. Hope Honor fixes this in next update.
I am facing the exact problem with honor 8x. Usibg avantree tws 120 and Changing to sbc seems to disable the issue temporarily till i reconnect the buds and forget to revert to sbc as it automatically sets beack to aptx. Worth mentioning i have another galaxy phone which doesn't manifest the problem.

Where is our Dual Audio feature in the phone?

Bluetooth v5 introduced a feature named dual audio, through which audio can be played from a single phone to two different speakers/headphones connected over Bluetooth.
Where is this feature in our phone? Even the recent update ColorOS 7.1, this feature is still missing!
please let me know if this feature is available.
Samsung already has the feature
Realme has.......sort of a similar feature

The option you are showing is the feature to connect multiple devices via Bluetooth, which is support to 5 at the same time with possibility of different Bluetooth profiles and I know about this.
Dual Audio feature means to share same Bluetooth profile of "Media Playback" to 2 devices at the same time.
I've tried, but our phone, as of 31st July, still doesn't support sharing Media Playback profile with 2 devices. It will switch the device, if i tend to change it, keeping the profile locked on to just 1 device.
On the other hand, I've tried testing the Samsung's feature and it shares the same profile with 2 different speakers. Bluetooth v5 has the capability to support this by default. Thus, its up to OPPO to provide the software support to it.

Like I said...I don't use it, but thought that might have helped.
Since I upgraded to ColorOs7.0 my Lypertek Tevi Bluetooth headphones now connect each individual earbud with its own Bluetooth connection. The Bluetooth symbol then states 2 devices are connected. The latency in games is massively reduced Vs ColorOS6 where only 1 earbud connected and then the buds talked to each other. Is that the feature you're referring to?
