using rootless pixel launcher and I enjoy it ^^
Me too.
I will suggest smart launcher 5 it helps to keep icons near your thumb and fingers so that u need not to jump to top of the big screen again and again
im using nova launcher pro version. Superb and love it!
Nova launcher pro... No question ask
The New Hyperion Launcher Pro it is. it´s from the substratum devs, has all i need looks great and has awsome customization!
and with the hyperion dock addon you get google feed on the left side swipe. it has a beta tree and updates come constantly.
I like this Launcher more then Nova Pro and i used nova launcher quite long maybe 4 years. try it out guys, y´all have nothing to loose it has a free version too!

How to set a permanent launcher so that it does not change on the vivo launcher ?
I was previously using Yandex launcher and will say it is best but recently switched to smart launcher bcz for larger screens it makes easy to show icons/options towards lower portion so easy to click using thumb.
Change launcher

You need to get a vivo account which requires a chinese phone number you can get at onlinesim.ru/en for a few cents (paypal possible). After adding the vivo account in the account menu in settings you can activate "allow the launcher to be replaced" in more settings / security and then change it at security / device manager and reboot.
But I don't know if this is necessary in the global version... Does anyone know?
P.S.: Here is a video describing how to change launcher: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOCLSUugXf0
No, this procedure is not required for the global version.
You can replace the stock launcher without any problem.
Cheers

I installed the rootless pixel launcher from the play store and it only worked for a few hours and now will not load? I have the Global version of Nex S.
Update: After deleting and reinstalling and rebooting it seems to be holding fine.
Hey guys, I finally made the move upgrading to oreo but I really hate these new icons with that white stuff around it and so on. Is there a way to get back the original nougat theme on oreo? So far oreo is a bit smoother.. Let's see how it is with battery life but I guess it was not worth to upgrade it. Thanks in advance. Best whishes.
Long press on the home screen. this should open a list where you can choose home settings. Hope this helps a little
It was worth to upgrade to it. Trust me.
Find an icon pack you like the look of on the Play Store, use a launcher that works with them like Nova Launcher, and you're good to go.

Yeah I don't like nova that much. Would rather go with stock launcher.. Maybe I can found an original v20 Nougat theme on the web.. But yes, oreo is getting better and better. Actually I installed it bc I ordered my Sony xm3 few days ago and I wmama use LDAC. What other benefits do I have with oreo?

Yes found it finally. Worked for most of the items. Unfortunately the Google oreo icons like Chrome, Gmail etc are still surrounded with that ugly white stuff. But yes. 80% is good now. Thx mate

Is there a launcher recommended for the A3? I really just don't like the app draw and the inability to put things in folders.
I've also got root & a few magisk mods going. Anything you recommend?

If you want the recents menu in android pie to work correctly with third party launchers you need QuickSwitch magisk module only certain launchers are compatible with it.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-quickswitch-universal-quickstep-t3884797
If you like miui or emui, I suggest to use cool miui launcher or cool emui launcher. Both are similar.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mi.launcher.cool
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.emui.launcher.cool
Its good to use having theme, wallpaper store and have option to take backup also. Try once. I got a cool emui mod without ad version. If you need that, just let me know. I can share.
I use Nova Launcher
Lawnchair v2 from APK Mirror along with the Quickswitch module. You get the recents and overview suggestions from Quickstep as well as the many customization options.

Been told that MIUI Launcher should have an App Drawer option. Can't see where to enable it? Anyone?
I'm surprised how good MIUI Launcher is. I really don't want to have to go back to Nova because of this daft missing feature.

Yes you can. I can see this phone winning my heart.

The newest release version of MIUI launcher has the app drawer built in. It was released on April 18. Again, this is the release version, not a beta. I have installed it on my 9S (9 Pro) and it works perfect. Download the APK here.

You don't even need to do that if you look at my second post. You can enable it on the stock one using that trick.
I have to say, MIUI Launcher has come a long way since the Redmi Note LTE.....

My usual answer to this would be no, because I'm fairly pragmatic about these things.... but I've decided to take a punt because Google Discover seems really sticky on my phone and I don't know why. Nova Launcher with Google Companion is fine. Very smooth, buttery. System Launcher, it's sticky and not very nice to use. Let's chance it.
And no... your update doesn't seem to resolve it. The Google app works fine, Nova Launcher + Companion is fine... MIUI Launcher, it is very sticky
Wow..... I take it alll back. Nothing to do with MIUI Launcher. I went into the Help section of the Google Feed (within MIUI) and clicked open in Play Store. I'm part of the BETA testers and an update was put out yesterday. I updated..... buttery smooth now. Perhaps a bad release by Google?
All of a sudden, I'm very content.... Thanks though, the updated Launcher is a little better, but not sure it's exactly notably better.

I have the same Problem with Google Discover under MIUI 11.0.3.0 it's very laggy, I think it has to be optimized yet by xiaomi or by google itself to work properly.
Edit: still lagging for me with recent google beta app, persists with the new laucher, too.

Hi folks,
Bored of stock Xperia launcher?
Here's the best alternative, Lawnchair.
Google play version is outdated but you'll find latest update here: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/delet...627-ci-q-merge-android-apk-download/download/
You will need Lawnfeed to enable Google left panel: https://lawnchair.app/lawnfeed/?ref=lawnchair
Enjoy
I like the way that Lawnchair Launcher looks overall, but I do not like that I can not hide the dock. I prefer having a full screen look where possible.
I like it but I don't like the clock, I wish you could get rid of that and use your own..

What???
No clock nor dock...
You should try the settings ?
Show me where...
in the settings. I did not see anything for hiding either dock or clock. I must have missed something or it simply did not jump out and bite me to make it obvious as to what was needed to be done.
Edited to correct misspelling.

I went into the Dock settings and I saw nothing that said "Hide Dock".
I have Nova Launcher now and I can Peek a Boo the dock with a swipe gesture so that it is not always present and disappears when not needed.
That is what I am looking for here. Am I missing something here?
Hey great, thanks for pointing that out...have a look at what I've done...if Lawnchair 2 did a clock like that I would be happy...or if you could mod the clock, colour it, resize it, change the padding around it, and the icons for the weather....so I could make it look like that..
Either way, it looks a million times better than the Xperia launcher so thanks for the advice...
Happy to be able to create folders in the app drawer.
Anybody knows how to get rid of the white line below the dock?

Via adb, you could try:
wm overscan 0,0,0,-30
And to revert:
wm overscan 0,0,0,0
Bear in mind that this simply moves the nav bar below the bezel, some full screen apps react differently to this. Good luck.
I also like the Lawnchair Launcher a lot, but it cannot work with gestures navigation without quickswitch magisk moudle, which is pity like all other launchers
