Hello everyone
I have bought it in Denmark and I have no issue with it.
I would like to know what happens if I remove the phone from MI account and delete Mi account right after.
I do not need all these services and somehow I found out that I have no use of the account itself.
I hope it is not a double post and some of the gurus can answer.
Thanks and regards
Nothing
Thanks... I thought it could give troubles in case of factory reset/hard reset?
As far as I know all that happens is that you can't unlock bootloader anymore.

Nope
If you want to unlock just hard reset and set up a mi account...
So if I do not mind about unlock I can remove the account
If later I decide to unlock I make a hard reset and re-create the account. Correct?

It might be a stupid question, but I am curious.
I got my Optimus One unlocked with a code purchased off ebay. But, I need to restore it to factory settings to delete the first google account that was established with the phone so I can establish a google account for my son as the default. But if I reset it, will it relock the phone back to its own brand? If so, do I need to get a new unlock code or will the code they sent me still work?
Thanks
A google search gave me the answer..
No. The phone will remain unlocked.
When you unlock a phone to all networks it can not be locked again. Its not reversible.
So you are safe.
hit thanks button if i helped you.
Thanks for the answer.
My wife has the Tmo LG V10 secured with google but she forgot the password to her account. So I decided to factory reset the phone by hitting the button combination and entering recovery. After the phone booted up it still asking for the google account password. And there's no way I can unlock the phone. Is there anyway to do this? By unlocking bootloader and installing a fresh rom? I thought on rooting it but I have to enable developer mode and I can't access it. Any ideas??

Can she get on another device and reset her Google password?
Log into Google and select forgot password and reset.
What screen is asking for the google password? The setup screen?

If you are unable to just reset the password and wait the 72 hours try this. http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f779/lg-v10-factory-reset-protection-frp-2064805/ this work around wworked for me a couple days ago. Or if it doesn't I guess you ccould always pay mrcertkings extortion of 20 dollars to use the tot file to fix. I'm sure he's already pmed you offering to do it for 20 dollars like he did me.
Recently I bought 2 phones.
I added both to the same account and successfully unlocked the first one.
In order to unlock another one I have to wait 30 days.
I could try to create another mi account to unlock the second device, but I am afraid that it would permanently prevent me from unlocking it.
Please, let me know what do you think. Do I really have to wait that long?

The best way is to write down your current mi account username n' password and remove it from your device, reboot.
Next, make another one and request Xiaomi to get permissions for unlocking. Or you'll have to wait 30 days with the current one as you explained.

Could you confirm that removing the mi account from the device and reapplying for unlock permission with the new one is safe?
I have already tried to unlock my device and I am afraid that it would be blacklisted for the unlock on xiaomi server if used with another account.

Nah. You can make new one and reapply for permissions.
How to remove the mi account from the device?
I tried to reset device to default, but on the first boot it is back to the way it was before.
If anyone has done it, please share your experience.

We have 3 devices which would mean waiting for 15+30+30 days I can create 3 accounts for reducing the complete waiting time to 15 days in parallel. But this seems to require 3 SIM-Cards as well while I only have one. Otherwise the unlock tool says "Your account isn't associated with a phone number." Now that I attached my SIM-Card to the 2nd Mi Account and starting the next 15 days waiting period, the number was removed from the first one and I'm not sure if I can re-migrate the number back to the 1st account later without starting another 15 or 30 days.
This is very annoying, as I can't wait several month before using the devices with our Custom Rom.
Hello!
I currently have a phone that still has a 1 year warranty, and Im about to sell it.
Before doing so, I wanted to make sure that none of my files, accounts or whatever is reachable by the person buying the phone. How do I go about this, without voiding the warranty?
I heared that factory reset isnt 100% proof in this case?
Thanks!

You should definitely go for a factory reset and bypass the Google FRP protection.
Look through XDA for thread on how to do it.
If you hard reset it your warranty will be voided .

Is there a need to bypass FRP, if there is an option in the settings to perform the factory reset?
And Hard reset = Wipe with TWRP, for example?

Hard reset is the full reset with TWRP , this will void your warranty.
Factory reset is in your settings. If your device runs Android 8.1 , you'll find this option in System-->Reset Option ( or something like that)

Alright, and what the FRP is for ? Checked up on google, it looks like its a protection that doesnt allow someone randomly factory reset it, right?

Yes , that's a protection prevent someone to factory reset your phone , because he can do it without any password , and back in the day , that's how thiefs reset Android device to resell them .
Now you'll have to bypass it to be able to unlock it .
You can also connect to your phone after factory resetting and logout after unlocking if you aren't able to bypass this protection

Not sure how to bypass it. Cant find a legitimate video on my device. LG G6.
Is it not going to allow me to log in with a different email? Is that how it works?

FRP doesn't work like that , only your previous Google Account can unlock the device , so Google know it's you who has reset your device.
Hello everyone and thank you for reading my post! I had an Android which I kept in a different state after I moved. After I received it by mail (after 2.5 years) I did a factory reset because I did not remember the passcode. But now to open the Android it requests the Google login for the Google account I had on that phone. In the 2.5 years I didn't have that phone, I also began to use a different Google account and I don't remember the old one. IS there a way I can get past this? Maybe with some software or hackery?
Humbly,
Tom

Hello cmfCyangenModteam and thank you for your answer! I have a relatively new Google account. The problem is that the phone requests my old Google account because that's the one that I had when I used the phone. I tried inputting my newer one and the phone rejects it and doesn't unlock. I don't remember the old Google Account. How can I unlock it?

Have you tried doing a complete Factory Reset? If not, you can do that and then add this new Google Account.

I remembered it!
Factory reset many times until function "Create Google Account" appears.
Remove SIM from the phone.
Use Wi-Fi while setup is on process

@humbleTom
That's FRP (factory reset protection). Background: Let's pretend that your mobile device got stolen. The first thing a thief will do is to reset the phone, because without knowing the correct display pattern the device is pretty useless (and it's very hard to sold in that state ). Since the settings menu is also unreachable with a locked display the thief is forced to reset the phone via recovery mode. This mode must be always accessible by pressing the right key combo in case you are in serious trouble with an unbootable device. Doing it that way, the following setup of the device requires a login to the last active Google account to verify the owner.
This verification step is also required if you do a factory reset in your settings menu. But here the verification is done before you delete everything by entering your display pattern. This will disable FRP for the following reset because you have then verified that this device is yours.
@WoKoschekk thank you for your answer. Is there any software I can use? I once forgot the password to my windows computer and found software online that was able to unlock the computer. Do you know of anything like that for Androids?

We are talking of a security feature that protects the device. It's not allowed to give any help to bypass FRP in a public forum.
what phone model/android version we're talking about? samfw supports some devices.
