Best phone EVER. Nothing to complain about. Solid build quality, awesome screen, speaker is excellent. Love the ripple unlock. S Voice is a little hit and miss and is missing the cheekiness of the iPhone. But overall solid!
Quality phone and I think if Sammy hadn't been brave and recalled pebble blue before release this thread could have been busy but that's the beauty

i imagined opening mine today.....it was glorious. the screen was clear with no deffects, when i pressed the home button......the phone started talking to me.
yes yes, why cant i get women to behave like my phone..........press a couple buttons and your good to go

If you know what you are doing, pressing the right couple of buttons on a woman will make everything good to go.....

I havent got my S3 that I pre-ordered weeks ago. Thought this thread would bring me some happiness but no... just made it worse, lol.
No one is disappointed ? Lol this has to be a world record in the mobilephone world Even iPhone for S had complaints.

No remorse, but it's annoying that I can no longer change the brightness by sliding along the status bar.
Any fix for this available? (like an app or so)

Is that not a CM mod? It will come on a custom ROM soon enough.

disable the auto brightness and try again. That's how it used to work in SGS2 stock rom.

no that was a TW option and only found in GB based roms. ICS has yet to have this option and idk if it ever will unless a dev can add it back in some how
ok so I'll brave it... I am a little disappointed.
S-Voice seems to love working when I'm by myself, but nooooo when someone else is around, it refuses to come to life.
But apart from that, this phone is a beauty.
Just got my SGSIII and noticed that the power and volume buttons are a bit loose. I tried to compare it with the SGS and SGSII, and the buttons on those phones are much more firm/solid. If I shake the device I can actually hear them rattle.
Am I the only one having this problem

Can you tell me how the hell you can get to the General forum without even having a look at the Galaxy S III Q&A ???
It even says "For all of your questions relating to the Samsung Galaxy S III"

Yes, it should have been in the Q/A forum and yes I did search both General and Q/A forum before I asked the question. I did simply search in Q/A first and then had a quick look at General in case there should be a thread about it in there which is the reason why this post ended up in general and not Q/A where it was original intende to be. Unfortunally I can not move it to Q/A, and I did not feel like making a dobble post in Q/A.
I am very sorry that I ruined your entire life with this mistake. Have a nice day.

I don't use recent apps, ever, in fact i dislike it entirely.

As my nickname suggest, I am blind. I have never seen a smartphone, as I went blind before they became so sophisticated. Also, I could never afford one until recently. I have one burning issue that is driving me crazy. How the devil do I add bookmarks to Chrome in Android 6.0.1 marshmallow? If you need the phone... It is a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.

Press menu, then its the top of the screen near the middle
I know I'm not really giving Bixby a chance here. Who knows, maybe I'll like it (probably not). With that said, I just saw this today. You can remap the Bixby Button Here.

Oh, thank gods. I never use these "assistants". Honestly, I feel very stupid talking AT my device. I can just as happily type and not have the entire world know I'm an incredible nerd who thinks it's cool to order diapers in public.

Ha. Fantastic. Its an infinite loop.
The all in one gestures app disabled the quick camera launch on my s7 by double pressing the home button, seems like it doesn't have a double tap action, wonder if it'll do the same on the s8.

I used to be the same way, but now I use it daily while driving. Android auto reading and able to speak reply to my messages it pretty amazing.
Someone Released one that works only to remap the bixby. So there's 2 options to remap.

Then don't update the phone, either way this remap only works with the screen on. With the screen off nothing happens.
