Hi All,
Here is the issue. xperia z3 |compact needed a new screen after a fight with a car. I bought replacement and installed. However, although the image is good and the digitizer responsive, if I touch the screen centre ('show touch' is on) the touch and screen response line up but further out from the centre, the more out of alignment the touch and response is. It is as if the 4.6 inch digitizer has 4.3 inch firmware in it. Have factory reset and tried calibration apps. Is there a way to tweak this, perhaps by an Input Device Configuration file (*.idc) or to force Android to change the touch position via an app?
I very carefully installed this screen to be waterproof, so I am loathe to start again with a new screen if I can avoid it.
Any help most welcome

Hello guys,
I am having desire x.
It was working nice but from past 2 days touch response got worse.touch screen is not working properly.I need to touch hardly..
Give any solution..
it might be a touch calibration problem which you might resolve with a factory reset, but it might be a problem with the digitizer which you can solve by sending your phone to service.
Just in case:
Q: What is the touch screen digitizer?
A: A touch-screen digitizer is the part of a smartphone, tablet, PDA or monitor that converts direct analog touch input into digital input. The most common types of modern digitizer technology, according to a 2010 article in GigaOM, are active digitizers, used for handwriting input, and capacitive digitizer, used for finger-based touch input.
Hi
My friend broke his Z2 and asked me to try and fix the screen...
I already did this procedure a few times on other phones (Galaxy S3). I'm pretty confident I can do this easily, I have a few questions though.
I should just get him the full LCD/glass/digitizer assembly right? Although his LCD display seems to still function. The other stuff seems like a pain in the ass to install (although his LCD display seems to still work...)
He shattered the back panel too and doesn't care about that. But I'll have to replace the back glass anyway right? You have to remove it to change the front glass LCD etc right?
I never had a Z2 in my life so if you have any tips or info I probably don't know about this repair I'll take it
Thanks.
you have to dissasmble the entire phone, very difficult.

Hi,
I cracked the screen on the Sony Xperia Z ultra. I bought an LCD screen and touch screen separately. I have installed both the lcd and the touch screen digitizer very carefully and correctly.
The lcd screen works fine however I cannot get the touch screen to work. There is no response to touches. I have not bonded them together or placed any tape between them. Is it possible the touch screen is faulty or does it have to be bonded to the lcd screen? What I am missing here.
Thanks,
Rob

Hi after trying everything with hardware and running out of options I decided to flash the stock rom again just to see what happens. When I booted everything worked. The touch screen behaves normally now. I guess some software must have been corrupted. It may not be necessary to flash the rom again, it may just require a factory reset. I didn't try this but it may suffice.
I hope this helps someone.

Hi,
so I bought my G965F/DS a month ago and am very happy. Except for the miscalibrated touch screen.
Whenever I touch the screen, the recognized position is off by approx. 1/4th inch to the upper right. This causes serious typing problems etc.
I use a protective glass but checked with and without it - no difference. Touch sensitivity does not cause the issue either. I run magisk rooted stock room with exposed.
Is there any calibration tool for the display available?
Thanks!!
anyone?
Never seen a capacitive touchscreen needing recalibration, I'd take it back and get it replaced under warranty... Something is seriously wrong with the hardware.
My Dear friends, I got a Xperia XA Ultra from a friend, display was damaged. So I purchased a New Display with Touch from a Local Shop, but i noticed touch is not working properly, ghost touch on top and bottom of the display. Then i went to the shop and asked for a replacement LCD and they gave me another new LCD. I checked the lcd at shop with the sony *#*#service#*#* code.. and all the touch screen tests were Pass. But after i came back to home and used the phone for 2, 3 hours and again suddenly ghost touch started on top, bottom.
Anybody had same issue like me??? If yes, what is the solution????
Also i want to know Is there any Touch control IC or chip on the phone Motherboard that cause ghost touch????
Please help me regarding this issue.
Thank you.
bump.. anyone???
