So I just read and saw on line that the US Cellular version of the LG G6 is on $550 buy it out right. Would this version work with Verizon Wireless. It looks to have the same LTE bands. What would be the chance of buying and putting a Verizon sim in it and it works out the gate. Anyone have any ideas?

GSMarena doesn't currently list 3G bands for the US Cellular G6 (US997). However, I've seen the Verizon and US Cellular versions of phones differ on 3G bands before (see the Galaxy S7 USA, for example), so 3G might have problems if you just popped a Verizon SIM card into a US Cellular G6.
I'm wondering if there could be a similar method to the one that was discovered for the HTC 10 where you flash radio images from the Verizon variant onto another phone:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-htc-10/how-to/vzw-how-to-unlocked-model-vzw-t3376743
Is the us cellular version factory unlocked? It is the same model number as the unlocked version, us997. I'm looking to use on AT&T.
It looks like you have to pick up some kind of plan from them to get the $550 price. It's probably better to go the b&h route (or hope vzw does a mother's day week sale).
Update: Ended up buying a new us cellular us997 for cheap. Popped my straight talk/at&t sim in and it works flawlessly. I always use this site to check bands
https://www.frequencycheck.com/compatibility/0Dlph6Y/lg-us997-g6-lte-a/united-states
I have used that site several times and its always been accurate. From what im seeing, the us cellular model supports all of the bands needed for verizon. It doesnt support CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rel. 0 but does support CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev A. So if 3G is a major concern, I'd check and see which one is used in your area. I personally wouldn't care about the 3G considering the price difference of the USC model and the fact that all LTE and voice bands are supported. Hope this helps

Hello, I would like to know if people have 4g with t mobile or at the with the mate 10.
I've used this phone in France and I didn't have any 4g issues
But in USA I only have 3g?
I've rebrand from alp l00 to l29
Thanks
Carriers in us is problem... I am now in Poland and 4g working perfectly. Last week same firmware in Chicago only 3g
Yes, i gave to my brother the phone, he lives in New york. (I've bought a pocophone)
He has one AT&T sim and one french sim
AT&T sim's got 4G
French (SFR) sim's one not
It's seems like roaming issues ?
i have mate 10 alp-l29 rebranded to c636 and LTE works great on Tmobile. LTE+ works too. you can get voLTE working as well if you want, though it doesn't work very well
Are you in roaming ?
VoLTE ? He doesn't have the option.... He is on .141 without root
When i own it, i've root the phone to get VoLTE in france but without root, no voLTE option...
Went to the shop to buy a Huawei Mate 20 Pro intending to use it in Asia (Taiwan) most of the time and got warned by the kind sales lady that their models (lya-l29) explicitly state that they are for European sim only.
AFAIK with my limited knowledge and experience that only USA bands are different from the rest of the world, and if it works in the European market it should work fine in various Asian countries as well.
Can anyone confirm this to reassure my doubts?

Phone comes unlocked, and locks to carriers IF on a contract. Many people have gone L29 dual sim and it works with ANY GSM carrier. As long as paid in full

Unless network-locked by a carrier, it should be fine so long as your network's bands are supported by the device.
I would suggest checking what bands your carrier uses and comparing.
You can check the bands on FrequencyCheck, as well as other places.

I've been to Brazil six times since 2007.
Yes, LG V30 will work in Brazil, especially if you
1) get one of the North America variants listed below OR
2) even better buy H930DS.... (If you only need in Brazil)
You mostly need LTE bands 3 & 7 for Claro, Vivo, Oi, TIM, Nextel, etc.. But as of 2016, some Brazilian carriers have also started using newer LTE band 28.
If you buy any North America variant (except for T-MOBILE H932, stay away from that), you can convert to carrier unlocked US998 via Frankenstein method and have bands 3 & 7. Or to keep it simple, buy US998 (which is carrier unlocked and has fastboot flash commands, if you ever need them).
LS998, H931, H933, VS996, AS998, US998 are ones you want to look for.
You will be converting to US998, if not already US998.
http://www.lg.com/us/cell-phones/lg-US998-Unlocked-v30
US998
CDMA: 800 MHz
2G GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
3G UMTS (HSPA):850/900/1900/2100 MHz
4G LTE Bands: 1/2/3/4/5/7/12(17)/13/20/25/66
OR even better buy H930DS (DUAL SIM V30+), if you can find it -- if it's for Brazil and not for U.S. use. It has LTE bands 3, 7 and 28 -- and you can use dual SIM cards, which is popular in Brazil. Plus, it has fastboot flash commands, if you ever need them. IF you buy that, make sure it has "DS" in the name. Because there's also plain H930, H930G, etc.
H930DS:
2G GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
3G UMTS (HSPA): 850/900/1900/2100 MHz +TD-SCDMA 1900MHz (B39) / 2000MHz (B34)
4G LTE: 1/3/5/7/8/20/28 + TD-LTE2600 (B38), TD-LTE1900 (B39), TD-LTE2300 (B40), TD-LTE2500 (B41)
However, H939DS -- while perfect for Brazil -- is missing major LTE bands for U.S. Does NOT have LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 12.

Does this 4G SIM card also allow HSPA?
You're not getting anything, or just not getting LTE?
What LTE band(s) are they using in your area?
They don't make you buy their own phone, do they? Is it Vivo Prepaid or contract?
You tried contacting customer service? Maybe they have to activate something on their end.
Sent via open market LG US998 V30/V30+
no idea if allow HSPA
The phone read the chip( writing vivo on screen) but no service, no lte
Apparently the band is 50. In bahia after a quick search
I got a prepaid and a contract one both not working.. thank you

Hmmm... I not seeing any mention of LTE band 50. Just 3, 7, 28 -- and you're not going to get 28 with US998.

Be careful of the hidden menu on US998 for LTE bands. Choosing one will LOCK you onto that band and it can't change. I had to factory reset mine one time after doing that. There's also another fix, which I can't remember right now.
Okay so any idea. What can I do.
Hello,
I'm trying to acquire a lg v60 but it seems that the european version is impossible to get.
Are the others versions working in Europe ?
Here are the frequencies in France that I need : 800 MHz (B20), 1 800 MHz (B3), 2 100 MHz (B1), 2 600 MHz (B7)
Will a V600TM be fine or not ? I don't mind the 5g, only 4g.
Thanks.

you can take one TM or ATT, TM is a bit more sensitive to bugs and has the possibility of OTA upgrade, but it won't be for long because the support ends. ATT is somewhat more resistant to bugs, but there is no OTA, but again it does not matter because we have all backups up to the latest version of frrmware.

If I buy one, I'll plan to keep it for a long time but I don't know if we the updates are available in Europe.
Frequencies bands are also important, there is no point that I buy the phone if I can't use it with my network operator.
Thanks for the infos, if the frequencies can work, I'll take the TM.

About 5G you can not used 5G but i think you can like ither guys using it after croisflash.

Is it really like that, that TM will work in Europe? I checked the kimovil.com page and according to this website I will not have support for any frequency in Czech Republic (just 2G). They say that B1 (2100), B3 (1800), B7 (2600) and B20 (800) are not supported. According to the website the ATT version will support all 4 bands of 4G, 3G, but no 2G (I don´t know if I need 2G, do you have any problems?). According to the website the Verizon version will support 3 bands out of 4 of 4G, 3G and 2G, so I guess the Verizon version would be the best.
I am using the Sprint version of LG V50 Thing 5G. It shows I have 5G, but kimovil.com says it does not support. I installed netmonster app to my phone and realized that the phone shows 5G but it does not have any 5G, just 4G. That is a funny thing too.

No problem it support 2G in all countries.
I think only 5g wont work without modifications different.
Kimovil.co. is not right site to see bands, in most of sites shown bands without roaming. Eg. you can see for att officiall site there are roaming bands but on the site no roaming bands.
