It is possible to install adblock or something similar in the A7 browsing with Chrome on a non root device?
Get Firefox and install the "unlock origin" extension.
Or get the "DNS66" app. It works system wide without root.

I just updated my SGS to 2.3.6 (JW4) with CF-Root. I've been using Root Browser since 2.3.5 (with Superuser) with no problems but since updating to 2.3.6 (with SuperSU), Root Browser does not get root permissions. For example I can read the system partition but cannot write to it (like deleting a file). Also if I click on a file on the system partition and check it's properties Root Browser does not show the permissions, it just display N/A.
After reading some posts I tryed some suggestions:
- configured SuperSU to the default allow action instead of prompting me
- installed Superuser, don't launch it, just install to check if it could be a problem with Root Browser way of cheking for root by using the presence of superuser.apk
- uninstalled and reinstalled Root Browser
None of the above has solved my problem. All the other apps that require root work fine.
Can someone confirm that Root Browser does indeed work with SuperSU 0.87?
Anyone has any suggestions for me to try?

Yesterday I received an email from Root Browser dev informing that there is in fact an incompatibility between Root Browser and SuperSU. There will be an update to Root Browser in the future to correct this.

I recently activated Online Banking for my Bankaccount. They use pushTAN with their own build app. I used xposed and SuperSU, but decided to flash a new ROM with only magisk. My current device is the Huawei P8lite with OmniROM and magisk 13.3. My device passes SafetyNET and it says certified at the Play Store. I checked magisk hide for the pushTAN app and the normal Sparkasse app. The Sparkasse app works, but it still says that my device is rooted. The pushTAN app however wont start. It says, that the app was closed and opens a website in chrome saying that my device is unsecure because I have root. I just flashed this ROM and I have no other root requiring apps installed. I've uploaded both apps to my G-Drive, so maybe someone can look and see why it still sees root. the pushTAN app is more important.

Soo, I used the phone of my brother now. After getting my TAN I was able to set up the normal Sparkassen App. It works fine. But the pushTAN app still doesn't work on my device. I tried another different ROM now, but still no difference.
Any news on that?
I have the exact same problem. Axon 7 here, rooted via Magisk. Magisk is set to "hide" from pushTAN app and also "hide from various detections" in settings.
pushTAN crashes and redirects to a webpage hinting that i have rooted my device.
Same issue for me :/ once i run Magisk-uninstaller pushtan app works immediately
I can approve: it works if you temporarly uninstall magisk, without? uninstalling the root patch.
Other way would be to install s-pushtan into an emulator on your PC, like this:

But, I would NOT trust a download that packs app and emulator into a single package. This massively increases the likelyhood of a special hack applied that spies on s-pushtan. I recommend finding any plain Android emulator then install S-pushtan from Play store. This might be more difficult, though.
Would be a joke if it really worked, since S-pushtan is all about using different devices for login and transaction authorization. This would be broken if you use an emulator on your PC. So it would make the transaction even more insecure than a rooted phone.
I'll have a look if there is an official, viable alternative to s-pushtan.

Even with root access, you cannot do this without installing another app.
There are many apps that help you block internet access of apps, like NetGuard NoRoot firewall. Try those.
Hey, so I have a few questions regarding this phone.
1. I'm unable to set a default launcher, I've previously done this by removing the default launcher with adb and it worked fine. However after the recent update to ColorOS 7 I'm no longer able to remove via abd, I think it succeeded once but when it did it ended up breaking a lot of functionality (No gestures, could only go back, couldn't open a list of open apps etc...).
2. If I download / install anything from play store or f-droid, I need to have an Oppo account and enter my password. Is there anyway of bypassing this? This seems to also make it impossible to use apps like Shelter / Island
Or, as an alternative, anyway to downgrade to ColorOS 6?

my previous phone i had it rooted with exposed and had minmingaurd installed, adblock plus and adaway to block ads.
my new zenfone 7 i rooted it with magisk.
but only adblcoking app that i can find is adaway. but it's letting through a lot of ads in a lot of websites and apps etc.
does minminguard no longer exist? r adblock plus app too?
anyway to install them in magisk or is there an alternative to them.
i just can't find information on such a topic.
I block all ads via Android's /etc/host file, don't use any ad-blocker app.
