Been using my Poco F1 with PE rom (many versions up to the latest) and latest vendor.
In all versions I have tried, data / app based calls induces an echo to the other party. As I cant hear the echo myself I struggle to know when its worst but its reported to me by the other party on multiple apps (hangouts, voip calls, etc) and has been reported over and over through many ROM and vendor updates.
Is there any combination of ROM and vendor / FW which doesnt do this ?? Is there any difference in this issue between CAF and ASOP PE roms ??
While its a great phone and does all I need, I cant have this call quality issue in my business life, and my company is using hangouts internally and VoIP systems externally so this is a daily issue not a rare thing. Its at the stage where if I cant fix this I need to junk the phone and get some hardware which doesnt have this issue.

Hi,
I found out that the voice call is now very low as compared to GB. I can hardly hear even though I increased the volume.
Another thing is, I am not sure if it's just cosmetic bug, if I go to call log in viber, I would see duplicated name, eg John Doe, John Doe, whilst in GB it works just fine.
I have tried to reinstall viber and still the same.
Anyone having the same issue?
have u wiped all ur data before flash or u used to update using pc companion?
I use flashtool and the wipe user data is ticked.
I do not do factory reset after flash as I think both of them are actually the same.
Did I do it wrong?
My viber working perfect so far
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app

Can you check if the recent call list has duplicated entry? It's like
John Doe, John Doe
Alex, Alex
Bob, Bob
when it should be only
John Doe
Alex
Bob
I don't have this issue in GB, guess I have to try factory reset.
My Viber app is working fine in ICS call volume about the same, contact list is okay too.
recent did have duplicate name several times.
I upgrade to ICS using flashtool using wipe data. I didn't do the factory reset after and I thought that could be the culprit.
Now I have done the factory reset and viber still behave the same.
Noticeable lowered call volume (still ok if we stay in quiet environment), ear piece get hot much faster and duplicated recent (I think cosmestic bug). But then, it is still useable.
Now great, as an extra, I have all my sdcard content wiped If any kind soul to upload me the content that would be great, those demo videos, photos, mp3.

Hi,
This is a member of the Viber R&D Team!
Viber supports ICS on Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Samsung Nexus S Any other device with ICS is considered Altered, or Customized ROM.
Our recommendations to you would be to either uninstall and reinstall Viber, or to find the proper customization which works best with Viber. Of course, returning your device back to it's original settings is the best option for compatibility.
If you have any questions we'd be happy to assist.
Thank you,
Viber Team

I'm using REMICS ROM (android 4.0.4 based on CM9) for my Galaxy SL. Cannot add Viber account into Account & Sync, so Viber cannot sync my contacts to show my friends who using Viber. What's happening?
Viber eats a lot of background memory on my ICS plus i am having problem where i cant send pictures over unless its not taken at the xact moment. It was a lovely app but with every upgrade its breaking into pieces..It needs some fix
@duongtunglam -
Please note that at this stage we don't officially support custom ROMs with Viber. Running Viber on a custom ROM results in various side effects (sometimes total lack of functionality), but we can't afford to support all custom ROMs out there. We are continuously working to adapt Viber to more and more ROMS, but meanwhile - you might want to contact the ROM developer for further support - they may be able to resolve this issue.
@ashqmallik -
We couldn't quite understand the problem with the sending of the pictures... could you elaborate on that please?
About the battery issue: please make sure that Viber is the cause for the battery drain by isolating Viber (having no other apps running) on a device with stock ROM (custom ROMs may cause this problem).
We conduct strict testings in our labs with several devices and other than when making a call (when it is natural for the battery to be used), we did not come across any significant battery drain when Viber was simply running in the background. Furthermore, over the course of over 15 hours, on average the battery use was only 2%.
You can find additional information on tests performed by Viber users themselves, which show similar results, at:

This has been an ongoing problem I'd say since KitKat ROMs released for me anyway. I've seen other people post about it but it's kind of sporadic as far as who it's happening to because the majority of people don't seem to have this issue. When using an AOSP based ROM no matter what I've used (currently ParanoidAnroid, in the past LiquidSmooth, CM, and a few others) my SMS capabilities are very hindered. I can send one, maybe two texts and then it will just not send anymore until I reboot the phone. Incoming text still come in just fine. It's just when I text to someone it will sit there sending for about 30 seconds follow by "Unable to send". I tried some of the workarounds people suggested in specific ROM threads that they thought might fix it to no avail (using 3rd party SMS app, disabling Google Movies). What ends up happening is that I'll have to flash back to a Sense ROM which isn't the end of the world but I really like using the AOSP based ROMs as I can do so much more with those in the means of customization and they just seem more snappy and "familiar" to me, coming from a Galaxy Nexus that I was always tweaking and trying out new ROMs.
Has there been any fixes that people have found for this issue? As I said right now I'm running ParanoidAndroid, the latest build with PA GAPPs and I'm afraid I'm going to have to go back to a Sense app once again. I waited a couple months before flashing any more AOSP based ROMs thinking with all the updates that get done to some of these ROMs maybe whatever was causing this to happen would be magically fixed in newer versions of the ROMS. Any help/tips you could shoot my way I'd be very appreciative!
I am currently on MIUI 7 global stable and want to flash CM13. Can you please guide me to which are the options I have currently for :
- Good calls and call volume (I use 3G only..no LTE)
- Bluetooth pairing and music through bluetooth headphones
- Working Camera
- Fingerprint (I have a FPC102..checked via AIDA64)
No offense but I saw most of the devs mentioning in the bugs section "You Tell" but there are some ifs and buts..
I already have TWRP flashed..
Most of you might have already tried all the ROMS..hence asking your opinion..thank you dear friends and the wonderful devs
Official CM13 has almost no problems for me (I say almost because I haven't encountered any that haven't been fixed in a day or two). Fingerprint is faster than MIUI tbh. Must be because fingerprint is baked-in in android marshmallow. Don't have to bother with MIUI force closing apps (torrent apps always closed after some time in MIUI) . Multitasking is great! With MIUI my phone felt like a 1.5 GB phone with its aggressive memory handling. Regarding camera the camera quality may have degraded slightly or it may just be placebo. But the MIUI camera app is definitely nicer and faster. That's the only thing I'm missing from MIUI. Some people have problems like fingerprint not working (even if Aida show FPC102), battery always stuck at 2% or 50%, led not working etc with official Cm13 but none of those problems for me . So stability would probably depend upon your luck.
I haven't tried Santosh's CM13 as it is said to lock bootloader again. I have tried resurrection remix but some bugs like recent apps showing even Android system (which has been present since resurrection lollipop in all devices. It doesnt hinder much but Android system is not supposed to show in recent apps. To understand what I'm talking about, when you open say a YouTube link it shows menu for which app you would like to open the link with and even that will be present in the recent apps.) and data not working ( data may be fixed by now though). I haven't tried other because Official one satisfied me very much.
Try the official one for once and see if you have any bugs. If not restore MIUI. MIUI 8 is coming and it seems it has some cool features but nothing to bring me back to MIUI.
Hi y'all,
Should be receiving my X829 from Banggood tomorrow, and trying to figure out what to do re: firmware. I'm a bit wary of the custom roms since it seems like each rom has its share of serious issues. I was going to go with small EUI, but apparently it now has bootloop problems?
Anyway, in the absence of a reliable custom rom, all I really want to do is a debloat of any spyware (including here apps that upload "market research data"). Are there any debloating guides floating around?
I've read that EUI has fine grained control of app permissions. Does this include being able to restrict app internet access, and does this control extend to the LeEco apps and other bloatware installed on the phone by default?
I have not seen a good debloat guide but I'm sure your x829 is going to come with some sort of vendor ROM already ( US? ) .
I just wanted to comment on the stability of all the LOS 13, AOKP, and RR builds ( MM ), I would say are all stable and ready for every day use. Some of the N builds are excellent and just waiting for LeEco to release N . :good:

My impression was that even if they are stable, they are missing some substantial functionality? VoLTE seems to be a problem for most roms (though it's fixed in some), none of the Nougat roms seem to have the cameras working (a significant issue that would prevent me from considering such roms functional, let alone excellent), and (all?) of the non-EUI based roms require the use of a certain camera app to get camera functionality?
I'd very much like to be informed I'm wrong haha!

There is a VoLTE patch floating around, my carrier doesn't support it so I haven't used it.... The camera issues have been solved in most MM builds, but not N builds. The FooteJ camera app work around was just a temp way around the problem that persisted, but now I use it in place of stock because I liked it so much
My suggestion is to try them. Super easy to unlock/root/add custom recovery, Especially if your looking for a smooth clean OS.
EUI is packed with bloat and ad on , I don't like it.
There are 6 apps on chinese 23s rom. I don't use them and they don't cause any issues. They are in my app draw as I use nova launcher so don't see them.
I tried most of custom roms but find stock more stable and it works OK apart from Gmail notification but I use BlueMail from playstore which works perfect. No real need to de bloat to be honest.

So I got my Banggood X829. As far as I can tell, there are no chinese apps, and only two leeco apps: LIVE and My LeEco. All the GApps are there as the default. Everything worked out of the box, so I've just decided to restrict the permissions of the LeEco apps, and installed Nova.
The launcher was bad (no app drawer!, ughh), but the other aspects of EUI are pretty nice. In particular, the the app switching button on default Android is an incredible waste of space that's hard to navigate through. The way it's implemented in EUI is both more user friendly, and putting media and settings shortcuts there is a more efficient use of space than stock.
I imagine there'll be no OTA updates, so I think I'll just stick with stock EUI until someone gets a Nougat ROM with the camera working.
Won't be any updates on that vendor rom if same as mine from Banggood. The updater app was removed on mine. Got rid of it for a newer stock rom immediately.
Hi,
I tried using the search functionality, but all the threads I've found are either dated or irrelevant.
I'm currently using the PE10+ ROM, but a few bugs got me looking to change.
I'm looking for a stable daily driver, hopefully with gcam incorporated, but I can flash it later.
I do use banking apps like gpay, and don't plan on rooting the device.
I've been thinking about LOS, but let me know what you think, and whether or not it supports banking apps
Kind regards.
you can use miui eu its preety neat and bloat free. Have been using it for more than 18 months feels solid.

Thanks for the reply!
I tried MIUI for a while when I just got the device, but it had bugs that really annoyed me:
1. I keep my phone on vibrate during the day, but during the nights i set it to DND on a timer (after so and so hours it comes out of DND). On MIUI, it never came back to vibrate, but rather switched to ringing on a low volume setting.
2. If I listened to FM radio, and got a Whatsapp alert, the FM radio would mute, and never come back. I had to kill the app and open it again.

FM I haven't used in years so I cannot comment on that. I am using MIUI 12 eu rom. I don't face the vibrate issue you are facing. Night mode works flawlessly for me.
You can try Havoc & Evolution X. Both of them support banking apps without root.
You can use Pixel Experience for banking accounts, but I think you'll still have to use magisk hide thus be rooted. Best option is to relock bootloader after installing the stock rom and stock recovery.
Try Oxygen OS it's really good in battery backup and touch response and sound with mono audio , with gcam( have to flash though but working good ) , ambient display with pulse notification and video enhancing alll are good man it's worth a try !
Banking apps supprts in some versions and in some don't ! In my rom g pay and p pe half working , can open check balance and receive but can't able to send so I'm using paytm bank and it's working flawless .
If other than Oxygen os i suggest to go for evolution and PE with 10+ version .. it's awesome and can be your regular driver . Hope you likes one of them . Have a good poco exp
