Generic Android Device - X23 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello I bought this cheap device as a spare while my phone gets repaired. I dont know what brand it is
Its a Mediatek MT6735 based device with 2GB RAM, 128GB ROM and Android 6. The device arrived rooted which i want to switch off. And ideally I would like to upgrade to a newer ROM if possible. The device has a bootloader in Chinese.
Baseband version reports MOLY.R9.W1444.MD.LWTG.MP.V88.P60 and after googling it I found this repository on github with a lot of drivers https://github.com/bolt1502/MOLY.LR9.W1444.MD.LWTG.MP.V88
So will it be possible to do a new build with lineage os? Also flash TWRP on it?
Thanks

ToDo
I also have this phone. It's great but the charger wants to take 24 hrs. A Samsung one takes about 4 to 6. It's lying all over the specs.
Web says
6gb ram
10 core
Android 9.1
Actual is 2gb ram, 4 core, android 6.0.
However at 100 bucks it kicks ass.
The sound is a bit low for the ear piece.
I'd love to see a rom for this as well.
I've seen 'SP Flash tools' mentioned in another forum for flashing Media Tek 67xx
That should be a good start.
ToDo:
Get some higher audio level controls.
See why battery seems to drastically drain after 15-30%.
See why the stock charger takes 20+ hrs to charge.
Stock charger is 5v 2A.
Samsung charger is 5.3v 2A.
(If the volts does that... Finding higher volts will be useful.)
Make sure the second camera lens works.
(It has a flat and half sphere camera lens.
I've got no idea how to use the half sphere lens.)
Add over clocking to kernel.
Upgrade to Android 9.

Queria fazer root no meu, ele é exatamente assim alguem sabe?

Root
We're seeing what is possible.
Are there any generic root tools that you know of?
I'd love to get a new ROM and overclock.

I have confirmed this device as 32GB.
Someone wrote either a Linux module or something similar for storage to trick a user.
1 it pretends 128gb is the total size for a 32gb storage device.
2 when used space reaches 28gb or so it simply says it's 100% full.
This is full on trying to trick users by modifying code.
Now I will write an app for detection of hardware specs fraud.
---------- Post added at 07:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:58 PM ----------
Note: it's still an unbeatable phone for 100 dollars.
So actual specs are:
Mediatek 4 cores @ 1.3 GHz Max
2gb ram
32 gb storage
Android 6.0 Marshmallow
Store and details specs:
10 core
6gb ram
128gb storage
Android 9.1
FarmaRoot 1.9.3 does not work on this device to root.
This is a chance to crack down on these practices.

The estimated battery mAh is about 3000.
Although advertised at 6000 mAh.
It lasts about 7 hours of continuous use.

Privacy Protection Password - X23
Thank you for all this information.
I bought this X23 phone in May, 2019 and start using it. But, from last 4 days when ever I unlock the phone by fingerprint, the popup add came on screen. Then I decided to reset the phone. As soon as I reset the phone and it bootup, its asking me for PRIVACY PROTECTION PASSWOD.
Its even don't let me do any thing, the first thing when you turn on the phone came up is asking for that password.
Please advice me what to do.
Thanks.

It seems this war will never end. Android vs iOS - which OS is still better?

got this phone on w*sh as fraud since advertised as 10 core, 128gb, 6gb ram etc as everyone. €100 are A LOT compared to other older phones with 6.0 and 3g only. It should cost 50% less...
Anyhow, antutu says is a fake Alps X23, so if someone knows a thread about it maybe it can be updated...

Can anyone help with rooting Hisense INFINITY H12 Lite (also known as Hisense F35) please????

I got my money back from Wish for this phone.
I still have the thing though. I'm looking to put another updated ROM on it.
Any ideas what will work and where to start?

p.s.:When I reset the phone it start without the classic google login screen, I'm afraid of spyware inside.Maybe a recovery reset could be done, but how?
I'm trying an antivirus right now....

Thanks. The firmware came up, but the touchscreen doesn't work correctly. it is divided into several parts, half of it works as a mirror, you click there, the screen perceives a different place. Is there a way out, I read in the forums, they say LK. BIN is needed, but not having the original LK. BIN does not solve the problem. Or is there a method for Calibrating the touchscreen?

If you have touch issue you need to flash "lk.bin" and "secro.img" of your original device, because before you flashing the embedded firmware of the link above, you have to backup the original device partitions, otherwise just flash "system.img", "boot.img" and "recovery.img" (you need to flash "cache.img" and "userdata.img" too) of the mentioned firmware I've attached

I have an idea it may work, you can search for:
Code:
tek6735_35_m0
or
Code:
alps-mp-m0.mp1-V2.84_tek6735.35.m0_P151
firmware and just flash "lk.bin" and "secro.img" with "userdata.img" and "cache.img"

I had a brick and the only way out of the situation was to find a firmware for my device. Thank you for upload the necessary firmware. I searched the Internet for your advice, but I haven't found any results yet.
Here is the display touchscreen model: FPC-XL0600870I1

Maybe flashing HUAWEI Y6 Pro (same specs )rom will work?

[Q] Woxter PC75CXi

Hi, I have a whitebranded Allwinner A10 7" tablet named Woxter PC75CXi with 512MB ram and 8GB nand. It's running android 4.0.3, baseband 1.1, kernel 3.0.8+, [email protected] #5
build number 97f2-r1-h2-m01-1734.20120515
I'd like to cross compile some modules to support USB bluetooth dongle, USB Serial (GPS support) and USB DVB-T, but there's always a mismatch in module links that prevent insmod from loading my cross compiled drivers made with the source code from github d0t com/linux-sunxi/linux-sunxi and the lichee-3.0.8-sun4i branch with a sun4i_defconfig plain vanilla config and /CodeSourcery/Sourcery_G++_Lite/bin/arm-none-linux-gnueabi- compiler on a Ubuntu 3.11RC4 machine. The tablet's/busytoolbox's Modprobe doesn't have a force load option and hexediting the module version still produces symbol link errors.
I'm wondering if I could install a version of CM like CM10 perhaps to achieve this, well at least the USB bluetooth dongle support out of the box.
My tablet's lsmod lists the following:
8192cu 566489 0 - Live 0xbf0fd000
rtl8150 8910 0 - Live 0xbf0f6000

goodix_touch 12908 0 - Live 0xbf010000
ft5x_ts 46197 2 ssd253x_ts,goodix_touch, Live 0xbf000000
I'm not sure which of the supported tablets is equivalent to mine or if it's possible to make the vendor .ko modules work with CM to make the usual suspects like the touchscreen and the camera work.
I would also like to know if it's possible to access the CM source (like a git clone) just to cross compile some new driver/module not included in the CM images available.
Sorry for all the n00b questions
Nothing like asking for help and finally getting a breakthrough.
I was able to correctly cross-compile my modules and insmod them in this tablet (forgot to run "make clean" before trying the sun4i crane config). Now my DVB-T pen and my wireless keyboard and mouse dongle are working. Bluetooth driver loads but the OS is missing the bluetooth menu in the connection settings.

Here's my build.prop, any idea of other clones that have custom settings file for Cyanogen Mod ?

Teletalk Colors x200q HELP!!!

Dear all,
After long time I'm back to xda and a stupid mistake i did with my new handset ( Colors x200q - a gionee based phone) bring me here. So, coming straight to the point, I had rooted my phone few months back using vroot and just 2 days ago (in an attempt to make my phone look like Android 4.4 kitkat and make it cooler) I changed few properties in build.prop and installed (basically speaking, tried to install) few android 4.4 basic apps on my handset and now am facing force close errors every now and then.
What I did?
I changed the following properties of build.prop
Code:
ro.build.version.sdk=16
ro.build.version.codename=REL
ro.build.version.release=4.1.2
ro.build.description=gionee89_cu_jb-user 4.1.2 JZO54K eng.android.1366793389 test-keys
ro.build.fingerprint=alps/TELETALK/TELETALK:4.1.2/JZO54K/1366793389:user/test-keys
to
Code:
ro.build.version.sdk=19
ro.build.version.codename=L
ro.build.version.release=4.4
ro.build.description=gionee89_cu_kk-user 4.4 JZO54K eng.android.1366793389 test-keys
ro.build.fingerprint=alps/TELETALK/TELETALK:4.4/JZO54K/1366793389:user/test-keys
and rebooted my device... Then as some of you might guess, phone start force closing every now and then, especially the google apps. Further i can't access play store and many other applications force close either while opening or mid-way while i'm using them. I can't re-root my phone.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
What I tried?
I tried hell lot of things (maybe i got panicked at first). Somehow it seems root was not working, and i was unable to restore the original build.prop file.
i tried re-rooting it but without any positive result
tried using adb to push the build.prop file to system only to get permission denied or similar error message
tried doing a factory reset and then started the rooting procedure, again without success
tried flashing superuser.zip file via stock recovery only to get installation aborted error
and many other things which may not be that material...
What Next?
I basically want to restore the old build.prop app which i have and flash/install google apps for andropid 4.1.2 and make everything normal but i've been unsuccessful even after trying for past 3 days. So, am posting it here so that anyone can suggest me something which i might be missing and which will hopefully get my device up and running fully. In the next post, I'll post the details of my handset along with original (almost) build.prop file.
Any suggestion or comments are welcomed! Any good developer who have hands on with Chinese handsets, your inputs will be highly appreciated.
Thanks and Regards,
x200q handset information and build.prop file
Here's the information regarding my handset and build.prop file for your information:

Can you restore the original image somehow (a factory reset only formats /data/; restoring the original image also brings back /system/ to its original state)? It differs from manufacturer to manufacturer.
If you can't do that and you can't root it, then there's nothing else to do.

Thanks for your input! I could have done that provided i have the original image of the device. Since, i had stock recovery i couldn't backup it before.... And further, unfortunately, i'm unable to find stock rom for x200q anywhere in the internet.
The farthest i have gone is here http://androidxda.com/download-colors-stock-rom-models ,but ,it appears to be a dummy holder since, as soon as i try to open/download the rom it throws out quota exceeded error (whatever time i try). But, again download link for other devices are working (i tied few randomly).
Anyway, hope someone who has faced similar issue can provide some new inputs.
You can now download it .
I'm sure that you already have fixed your phone but the download from Android XDA seems working now . Glad to know that you are from Chitwan too . I own a Colors Xfactor HD and have been using it nearly for 2 years . You can also check my channel if you like on youtube.

X200Q Clockworkmod flashable Stock Rom
Yup, Like my friend said on previous post. I was somehow able to get it sorted out.
Further, I've made a clockworkmod flashable zip file of the stock rom (and the good thing is it's pre-rooted) so that anybody having the handset can easily install/flash the stock firmware as well as get root access.
You can download the same from : http://www.mediafire.com/?fnn6uiwud7obr
If anybody who's good at chinese handsets let's port a MIUI to this device. More details at : http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=189222&page=&extra=#pid3564198

[Q] Who knows how i can figure out what kind of Tablet I have exactly?

I really need some help identifying my Tablet.
"Original Name seller" Qware Pro 3 Slim line 9.7" inch IPS Wide View Capacitive Touchscreen.
I bought a Qware TB-9718 wich is a A10 Allwinner Cortex A8 processor.
I have added an CWM recovery from the LY-F1 (TREQ)
The Android version is IML74K as the buildprop tells me.
The import firm doesn't know anything about tablet otherwise than it is an A10 Allwinner, what tells me actually nothing else than it doesn't belong as the 85% of all A10 Tablets.
I flashed a lot of custom roms but nothing works well.
I did asked the vendor for the sourcecode what they didn't wanted to give me until I told them that they had to according to the open-sourcelicence from Google.
But i am allready 1,5 month trying to find out what kind of tablet I have and what custom rom I can get on it.
CM doesn't know my tablet but it is sold under a lot of different names and screen sizes.
Since there are so many different A10 Allwinner tablets, I really get stuck.
Where can I find the Boxchipsets?
I have a lot of different multitouch drivers so I do not know which one it uses.
The Buildprop contains:

Not that I want to jack the topic and all, but does anyone have a firmware file for my S7 clone? Some dude from the UAE uploaded what appears to be the same firmware as mine, with the ro.build.display.id "Z6U030HA_V101En", but the problem is the MEGA link for it has since been taken down for some reason. Here's the build.prop if anyone needs to take a look: http://pastebin.com/Un4HpPEj

Hope I described this eloquently, as it doesn't appear to be an HDC-brand clone of some sort. I could try the one off NeedROM but I'd be SOL as it might have a different preloader. It's an MT6580-based G930F clone, with 512MB of RAM and 8GB ROM. The shell's made out of plastic instead of aluminum, has the main microphone pin near the headphone jack instead of being near the speaker, and a thicker camera bump compared to the real thing. Fortunately I managed to take a few screenshots and dump the build.prop off this thing prior to the accident:

Figures, though you could get away with editing the firmware to at least mitigate the malware or something.
And yes I am still looking for that damn ROM.
It is possible . if you want I'll give you the address of infected folders and you can delete those . but be careful, some application stop working and not responding and you can free up 50% memory usage and your phone get faster.
install Malwarebytes from play store . it will be find these folders
ZF_CP_C012109
zf_CallerIdSearch (/system/priv-app)
zf_shulian_fota(system/app or data/app)
skymobLock
and some more folders in your sd card beginning with UI or PUSH name.(delete them from sd card)

Yeah I froze SystemLocker and GoogleVending on my phone, and from what I can attest I no longer get popups and other such nasties after I did it.
And as for the OP, will either of these two firmware images work?

Good Job! I hope that could be useful for you. please tell me about functionality of your phone after that!!
Does it work correctly !!?
---------- Post added at 12:17 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:13 PM ----------
But there is some things to check:
1- check your storage capacity. to see if it is 4gb or 16 gb or ....?
2-check your front and back camera to see if it can capture 12 mp or 5 pixel.?
please tell me to know about these issues.
One of the ROMs I linked to appear to be a close match to the stock ROM that came with my device, but would anyone be kind enough to upload a ROM with the ID "Z6U030HA_V101En"? It's been several weeks since I bricked my phone, yet I haven't spotted the exact same ROM yet. :/
