How to use portrait mode
I need help pls. I have a Zenfone 6 and for some reason I download and installed this module, thinking that something would change. When I saw nothing has changed, I just deactivated the module on magisk.
When I rebooted my phone I was without a Camera app. I reinstalled it on magisk, but it gets stuck on a screen that asks for permissions. Even though I grant these permissions, the app keeps asking for them and doesn't open. (See attachments)
Is there something I can do? If I factory reset my phone would it come back?

I was looking for screen recording solutions for recording some PUBG content, ones that captured gameplay sounds (internal audio). Google restricts apps from doing so, often banning developer accounts when devs host an app that captures system audio. People kept mentioning that MIUI's inbuilt screen recorder has an option to record system internal audio, but I could not locate that option.
As it turns out, the in-built app is version 1.4.1. I tried out the most recent v1.4.9, but it simply force closed. The next version, i.e. v1.4.4 works perfectly and also features "System Sound" as an option for Sound source.
You can download the v.1.4.4 release from APKMirror.
For non-MIUI users, LineageOS 16 features its own screen recorder app that also does the same. I haven't tried it yet, but that is an option.
Still looking for a way to reliably record high quality video + internal audio + mic, but at least we have a partial solution.
This doesn't work anymore in v10.2.8.0 because the system Screen Recorder version is v1.4.6 and Android refuses to install older versions.

Yes it doesn't. The alternative is to root your phone, uninstall the system apk, install the older apk as a system app.
@a.cid How to root Redmi Note 7?
Also, POCO F1 has just got the update that enables recording of system sounds. How can we check if Redmi is also planning that update for Redmi Note 7? is there a way?

Mobizen screen rec. works perfetly for me .... (i'm on miui.eu beta 9.8.1 and rooted by magisk 19.3 )
I recently installed pixel experience + q version and everything is working fine.
I wanted to try the bsg mgc 7.3.020 google camera and tried to install it but the inbuilt 6.3.020 gcam is blocking it.
I initially removed the 6.3.020 system gcam app (using root explorer) but the new gcam crashed.
And I came across app cloner but how many times i have tried app installs but doesn't open. (also tried skip native libraries) and its driving me crazy.
so please could anyone help me with this. thanks in advance

My camera app is version 2.2.1.A.0.10 and i want to a newer camera version.But if I try to install some camera apks it just show :"App cannot be instaled".
So I tried istall apk as system app with root (put apk file into root/system/app folder (I've installed Selfie portrait or Camera Pro this way)). I uninstall my camera app, reset my phone and check camera app. The new version was installed but when i wanted to open it, it just showed:" Unkown error". So i came back to older camera version (i backup it).
Does anyone know how to install newer camera version ?

Dude don't play with that stuff... Camera version is device generic only !! Last time I did this on my xz , it was the last time I was ever able to use the camera

Yeah it's a bust to sideload system apps. It rejects the install from unknown sources even though it's officially theirs.
Seems to be installed, I think maybe it only activates when you have a keyboard connected.

Cool, this worked for me on my CN pro pad 5
i finally got it working. the newest version (21st Jan) update has two versions. one ending in 7 doesnt work but the one ending in 6 does and works well.

when you first connect the keyboard it does have the option to go into pc mode automatically.
The pc mode should be in the app drawer or home screen like an app so you can launch it without the keyboard.
The official keyboard works great but no trackpad sucks.

famusc created a simple magisk module which adds all third party apps in ForceDarkAppSettings.json, thus enabling (or disabling) dark mode for third party apps in MIUI 13 again.
After installing the module and restart, you'll find all third party apps in dark mode settings.
If you install a new app, it needs a restart to see it in dark mode list.
This module works only if it finds both ForceDarkAppSettings.json and packages.list files.

hi! is there a way to use this on a VEUX device (Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G / Poco X4 Pro 5G)? the device dont have the ForceDarkAppSettings.json and packages.list files at all.
