If I try and install a rom or orange fox, it gives me an error message saying "zip verification failed". Anyone know how to fix this?

I think you should download again or see if you should install the latest firmware
Do you have a link to the latest firmware? And how do I install it?

it is not necessary to install the latest firmware, just read the ROM information (in the case of zenonHD, it is version 9.3.28)
and ... you can download the latest firmware on the Xiaomi firmware updater page or use Telegram
tell me which ROM you use now

Is it possible to update unofficial eu rom (eg. 7.2.24 from xiaomi.eu) by using zcx twrp? Are the steps the same for official roms? Thanks.

You can simply use the built-in Updater app.
Open the app, click on the 3 dots in the top right corner and "Choose update package" and select the update.
The app will reboot into TWRP and will flash the ROM and wipe cache
No more installing of the CURRENT ROM i'm using? Just 'update package' using the NEW VERSION and it's done?

The Updater does nothing more than rebooting into recovery, flashing the ROM and wiping Cash/Dalvik.
Nothing can go wrong when updating weeklies or updating from stable to stable.

I read somewhere that the updater stopped working to update the eu rom since a certain version. Maybe the version after 7.2.24. What i did to update my eu rom is using zcx twrp. I just dirty flashed it and everything worked fine.
Well I have updated my Xiaomi.eu rom twice using Updater app and never faced any brick

If you've unofficially unlocked, don't immediately do what jimakos said. Go and install the latest developer 1st and officially unlock.

You cant update with OTA, only with TWRP. And MIUIPolska is basically xiaomi.eu ROM slightly modified.

So after checking the Xiaomi firmware site (didn't work, flashing the weekly firmware just appeared as stable) I haven't been able to get the developer firmware.
Does anybody know where I can get a hold of it without the MIUI ROM.
(It's needed for the latest Pixel Experience update and it isn't included with the update)
Title is meant to say MIUI ROM not room, autocorrect sorry.

Always go here for latest vendor firmwares
https://mirror.akhilnarang.me/MIUI/beryllium/
and never use beryllium-V10.1.3.0-9.0-vendor-firmware.zip - this is an older version, even though the version number is higher than 9.
