Hey, since the new update, the battery indicator in the nitificationbar is not updating / refreshing anymore, id does just always show a full battery, even when there is only like 40% left.
If i restart the phone it will set to the batterylife that is left, for example if i reset at 3/4 of the bettery it will show that but not refresh anymore till i reset again.
Factory reset and so on does not help, seems like a big software issue with the phone here.
if i go to options battery, it will show the right %tage in the options menue.
Also, they said in the patchnotes, that they now implemented a % of the battery in the notificationbar, but there is literally no option to enable that, any idead on where to search for that?
Or nay app recomendations that could help me out here?

It's working on mine. It is always set to % , no option to turn off.
I updated by using full time flashed with sp flash. Did you do it with OTA?

Yes, it made an update in the middle of the night when it got releasen, funny thing is, i turned auto updates off and nearly got late for work, because my phone is also my alarm clock and since it made it´s update on it´s own it reset and needet my passcode to restart.
Nevermind, i usually make a factory reset after an update and most problems are gone by now, for example the multitask bug, it is still there but not all the time and usually only when apps havent been open for a few minutes or from what i´ve seen, it just loasd alot of apps into the RAM and as soon as the 3,9gb are full it just closes all of them, instead of just making enough space and killing the first few that you have had open. I hope they fix that in the next update, but still it is way better than before.
BUt back to the topic. Since the Update, the battery indicator on the right top has a different style but as i mentioned just stays white and shows a full battery all the time, with no option to change it to % like the update log was mentioning.
Before the update it also had no % in the bar but when you moved the bar down there at leas was a % shown, now just a full battery symbol all the time.
But i tried a few different apps now an one just put in % in the battery icon now and also updates : itßs called Battery Percent Enabler, i tried 5 different ones, they did not work, but this just works fine, it is accurate with the battery indicator in the menu.
But i´ll guess i will try and root may phone sooner or later and then i will just flash the newest rom on it anyways.
Just wanted to know if i´m the problem and i just couldent find the menu to activate it, if it was a generell software problem or if it is just a bug since the update.
An other question, do you also have the frontfacing camera but since the update?
People in the umidigi forum and on reddit post about it en mass, i first thought it was a crack in the camera lens but since the update i have it too and people are having it too since the update.
https://ibb.co/RgXSpNJ
Its just one of the pictures of another f1 user since the update, mine has this weird line right in the middle of the camera, but i cant find a crack in the glass or the lense and since it only happened to people since the update do you think they messed something up in the cam software?
I also found a few that state the frontcam is not working at all since the update.
battery indicator
Literally the same issue battery indicator only shows the battery life when first booted, rebooted, or charging. Otherwise the battery does not move. had to install widget off of playstore. Also no percentage on/off even though when you type it in the settings search bar it shows it but redirects you to battery and we'll you guessesd it not there... hope patch comes out soon....

Hi, as i already troubleshooted and also kinda fixed it, just get the app i wrote in the first comment and everything should be good.
the only other thing that would help now is to re install the lastest update, since you messed something up while doing so.
or you can just install the app that i told you about.
Many of these little bugs or tweaks would be easily solved if we had an official and working GravityBox for Pie. Shame.

Just wondering, did anyone else notice that when you try going to max brightness (from settings->display) it only goes to 99%? And if you try going to 100% with widgets, the screen gets brighter all the way till 99% and then when it hits 100 it gets a lot dimmer
Anyone else noticed this? Or is this bug specific to my poor unrooted X10a ?
I went to the Setting -> Display and Un-check Auto but I did not get the % scale, it just a scroll bar without any number in it, but it went all the way up and down as well. Maybe depends on the firmware in the phone...

Yea you can't see the number over there.. you need a widget for that. But if you slide it to the maximum possible, and then look at the number in a widget(I've tried 4 so far, so its not a widget problem) it says 99%, if you make that 100 through the widget, it dims.
I guess SE knew this and made the max brightness 99%?
Yea it happens to me too. I use Quick settings and when I slide to 100%, it dims. But it's not really a big deal cuz I set my phone at 18-20%. Saves a lot of battery
same here ...
100% is just like 10%
Yes i noticed that to! I was looking for a widget to controll backlight, found one that looked pretty and got a bit sad couse i thought it was faulty for not working correct so i uninstalled it. Nice to know the reason for why things not work

hey guys i have the international version of the SGS3 it is non rooted and i have not fooled around with any custom firmware or anything running the stock firmware that came with the phone. It is just 12 days old. I have been facing very strange issues with the phone which are mentioned below, i tried contacting sammy support for help but the tech team was not available and they say that i will get a call back in 24hrs although i am quite sure all they will tell me is do a factory reset. My issues are
1) I am using the digital clock widget that came with the phone and it randomly freezes as in it stops at a certain time but the clock in the notification bar continues to work. I have to manually remove and place the widget again and it comes back with the correct time.
2) My home screen widgets start flashing on their own and i am unable to click on any widget, i have to restart the phone and it starts working again.
3) The led notification light starts blinking a wierd purple color all on its own even tho i have no notifications or anything on the phone again i need to restart the phone and it starts working, i tried installing Lite Flow lite to see if it solved the issue and with that installed the issue goes away but i would much prefer not having the software installed.
Any help from all of you guys would be appreciated. Also attached a screenshot of the 1st error.

For the time stuff i would maybe try reseting the time in settings and see if it helps. and also clear the cache for the digital clock in settings app, may also help.
as for the flashing and what not, i did see that before when i was flashing roms......figured it was a bad flash though, didnt think anything of it as it went away when i flashed my next Rom. would hate to tell you to to flash another Rom to fix your issue
have you dont factory reset in settings.....maybe that will clear it all up for you. i know you will have to redo your phone but if it fixes it then there you have it :cyclops:
the time issue has not happened in the last day, for the flashing part i am on the original firmware have not flashed any rom's was planning to flash omega but after i solve these issues.
My digital clock freezes over time as well...
ok so it seems to be an issue with the SGS3 only, are you using any custom firmware?
ok finally got a reply from sammy for
1) they say if u click on clear ram it will cause the digital clock widget to hang
2) for this issue they say restore factory setting
3) this is caused because the phone searches for signal and hence it blinks.
I'm stock, no root. I did factory reset and have not cleared RAM recently. My digital clock still tends to freeze.

Try to update to the latest firmware ^^ settings>About Phone>
Hi. I recently got this phone and I am having some issues. I'm on latest Global Dev (6.11.3 Beta). Battery life is good (around 8 h of SOT), although I think it's consuming too much when screen is off (went to sleep with 20% and battery was dead when I woke up).
I was trying to install BetterBatteryStats (from XDA) and it's not working. After installing I get a white blank screen for around 15 seconds and then a toast message (Fallback to "Since boot") and the "Computing..." message with the interface grayed out in the background. But it doesn't do anything else.
I tried giving BBS all permissions possible in case that was the problem, but no luck.
Any ideas? Thanks.
Make sure you turn off wi-fi or mobile data whatever. You can also set automatic battery saver from security/battery/battery saver

Thanks. I know I can do those things. But why am I having this problem with Better Battery Stats? Is it working for you? Can you try if not? Link here.
Did a clean reflash. It's working now.
I have the exynos unlocked s9 Plus model. I never experienced horrible battery life (my usual SOT was about 4+ hours) but I could never get the fantastic SOT of the snapdragon models. Best SOT I had seen was around 6 hours after applying dark themes, etc.
I tried a little thing two days ago, and at least for me, it seems to work.
I let the battery drain down to 1% or 2%. I shut down the phone, and rebooted to recovery mode (holding power, bixby and up buttons), and I deleted the cache partition. After deleting the partition and selecting reboot, I immediately plugged the phone on the charger (fast charge was selected).
I let the phone get to 100% (without messing with it).
My settings are:
AOD off.
Android system background operation set to OFF.
Disable network data when wifi is on (from developer options settings).
Connected to 2,4GHZ wifi (not 5ghz).
The above are the main changes I have set to save battery. (I had these settings also before I did the above trick).
All the rest settings are normal. Normal white theme, synchronization is ON, GPS accuracy is set to high etc. I use FB, G+, Messenger, Youtube a lot.
I don't know why and how, but the battery life seems to have boosted a lot. And this is due to the standby time which now is extremely minimal.
I managed to get 8 hours of SOT(!) which I have never seen before in all the the months I own the phone. Not even near that SOT.
I am not saying that this is the solution to all the exynos battery problems. I just thought I should post this so you can try it.
I really hope that it helps you too.

With the latest update (BRE), there's no need to disable Android System background activity, because is not draining battery anymore.
I did many tests every update, and only BRE fixed the drain from it. Still, it seems that disabling the option is working for some people, is about trying.

It says something like "Keep network data on even if wifi is on" but you should disable that option.
Oh, that one , it's already turned off for a long time, battery life still sucks
How can you guys live without 5G WiFi?
I did a reset of the phone and installed without restoring a backup of apps.
At least standby time increased drastically.
I still must check the SOT, see if that one increase too
Cool! I'll give it a shot!
Does running on 2.4Ghz really improve the battery life?

I'm on the november security patch and battery life is pretty mediocre.
I get high standby battery drain, probably form android system.
I have never achieved sot of more than 5 hours and 10 minutes maybe!
Can you share your experience with this update?
Have you tried this trick on the latest security patch?

Same for me, so dark mode is hidden somewhere
Hide notch is back! Also I never got dark mode and I can't find it anywhere on the settings
If you want one really good black theme, just search for True Black Two changes are great, 4k and 1080p in 60fps and notch tinkering
Actually it's really annoying that they pushed status bar a little higher. Can I somehow bring it down again?

Nice update and getting closer to perfect for me, however. Auto-brightness is still hopeless, doesn't remember adjustments you make based on various light conditions and very slow to respond (still using Velis). Always on display had improved, now showing date and battery level, it also reacts to lightning conditions, annoyingly though still turns off at night making it not 'anyways on' (I don't have a schedule in place). It also only shows some notification icons, not Outlook for example. Hide notch seems buggy for me. Now it removes the notch with the clock and battery icons etc moving down with the corners of the screen.

Yes it is back, but is a mess also, very buggy.
Also, we can choose to hide/show in individual apps, but it works only on one of my apps so far...
Other bugs:
1. Brightness is not working as it should. I set it to 50% manually and it goes back to full after a while
2. The screen turns on by itself just like that, and there is nothing on it to show, no notifications...
3. Battery is very unstable, looses 10% in standby within half an hour, then it is OK for some time, but this should be given some time after every update.
4. When I type password on the lock screen it doesn't show any sign that you are pressing numbers, so I miss it sometimes. Before it showed a shadow when number is pressed.
5. I use option to show how much mobile data is spent in the notification shade, now it is not centered as it was before.
6. In the camera UI it shows a big white dot in the upper left corner, which does nothing.
Uh, enough for this time...
Yes brightness not working like 10.2.3 that was pretty good. Now too slow
dark mode did nothing on previous version however its option were available on devoloper settings, but now it is gone!
hide notch is back but it is very buggy.
i received the update notification but upon clicking it there was no update, had to do it manually xiameme seems too poor to afford servers.
My diarrhea still haven't got better.
