My friend has this phone and he wants to root it, but as I found online, Huawei stopped giving unlock codes.
So, how can I root it?
Is there any other way to unlock the bootloader?
Full information:
Mate 10 Pro [BLA-A09]
EMUI: 9.0.0.257(C567E7R1P11)
Security patch: may 5 2019
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Hi, you can get bootloader unlock code using paid services, e.g.

There is no other way to unlock bootloader for Mate 10 Pro.

With android 9.0 and emui 9.0 that services are not workinkg anymore.

If you like root and trying custom roms i advise you to go to S8+

Yes, but the free service Huawei offers will stop 24th of July.
You will probably still be able to unlock with dc unlocker but it cost money to use.
You can't root without unlocking.

Another question, with unlocked bootloder and root do I loose some features of the phone?
some of them lose Android pay functionality and probably you will loose warranty

This worked 3 weeks ago on H9 STF-L09 b368, although you have to pay for it a small amount, thanks for the original poster.

I've got Huawei Mate 10 Lite with Android 8.0.0 and I need unlock my bootloader. Have you got any ways for it? I don't wanna paying for any codes..
I think that You can not unlock it for free, since the huawei closed their website.

About the point 2 you must downgrade the firmware https://forum.xda-developers.com/mediapad-m5/how-to/downgrade-unbrick-huawei-device-methods-t3915693 or https://forum.xda-developers.com/mediapad-m5/how-to/how-to-downgrade-firmware-t3856385. After that you can buy the code, i bought my code on dc-unlocker. Bye

They support it since version V1.00.1403 see here.

First of all, you need the code to unlock bootloader.
If you don't have that code yet, it's a bit hard to get it, since the US ban.

you must unlocked bootloader first.. and it's not free now.. take a look to this site below .. they will do it if you on android 9 or even 10.. it cost maybe 25 or 30 dollars., not sure.. connect with them if you like..

I accidentally deleted all videos of my toddler on my phone and it seems i need to root the device for possible restore of the deleted videos.
